    Thank you for this incredible share! I am smack dab in the beginning of being committed to a 30 day no spend right now, so until it is over I will be stalking Chic Sparrow's website to hunt for my first order! I love leather, so for now I am using a couple of pieces of leather as a makeshift TN for my Bible! I have a personal sized life recovery Bible and I carry it everywhere! This video has helped me finger out where to put the holes and the stretchy cord (I have 4 of the cords holding my actual Bible in the leather then an insert for notes!) you have helped me tremendously by showing me "how to" and for that I am very grateful!!! May GOD shower your business with many years of Blessings.

    Really nice job, short and sweet. I really like the idea of the hole for the wrap around elastic to be punched in the middle of the binder/spine. I think if it is on the back side like the Midori , it would be in the way when writeing, don't you think? Well anyway that is just how I think .

    Great tutorial and your finished product is absolutely gorgeous. Your leather handmade note books look like the love that you put into them. Truly stunning. I have a lot of them, but I think I'm wanting one to fit my purse. When I'm ready I would like to purchase one fromyou.i love supporting small businesses, because this is why we share what we love and it helps them to reach their goal and mostly you do it because you love it.
    Thanks so much for sharing your artistic journey with all of us and I will share this with my friends when they are looking to purchase one for themselves. Also once I get mine, I will share where I got it on my UA-cam, IT and FB, so people can purchase one for themselves.

    • @chicsparrowofficial
      @chicsparrowofficial  6 років тому

      You want to either use an almost dry application and do very light layers and build it up to the color you like, or use a very wet sponge and apply it super fast. This is how I've done it. Best of luck!

      @havasmama05 6 років тому

      chicsparrow Thanks for the response! I really appreciate it! Do you mix colors as well, or just apply lightly? My leather from Tandy is about 3-4mm shoulder and it's just so stiff. Am I using the wrong leather? I understand if you're busy and can't answer all my questions. Hey, BTW, I saw your Spokane library card in one of your card pockets on your web site. PinkyBelle just look for veg tanned leather. You can buy smaller pieces (if you're wanting to just make one or two notebooks) on eBay. I purchased a full side from tandyleather.com and got a great deal. I hope this helps!
