The other is a 3' Christmas tree from cedar and fairy lights inside. I'm learning how to budget from your advise and by this beginning for my daughters. Im really enjoying your videos and is etsy hard to deal with because eBay could be a hassle to deal with especially if the customer had a complaint they never had your back even when you weren't in the wrong. Thanks again for the videos.
I’ve enjoyed Etsy ! The marketing through Etsy is also fairly decent . Could be better however it’s still pretty decent . Probably my favorite online shop .
Strong work, bud! Just found your vids the other day & subscribed as soon after watching the first one then seeing Mt. Pleasant on your Etsy page - I'm up in Holly Hill!
Haha hell yeah man ! Thanks so much for the sub ‘ glad your enjoying the content ! 🫡 I love holly hill ! I have some property up in cross . Love it out that way ‘
I think it was on another video in this series and it was wooden gift tags. Set of 3, 3/8in thick, 6in long × 31/2in wide. 3 different colors. One says From Santa, 1 says OH, OH, Oh, and 1 says Merry Xmas. I sold 25 sets at $20 a set in 2 days. All I did was post a couple pictures on my Facebook page and bamm!
You are really pumping out these videos! To me, $85 seems like too much but that's because in my area I don't believe stuff sells for thatuch but it's cool that it does work for a lot of people. Seems that set would go for around 50 max I would say for me.
you've got to keep in mind that the internet opens you to a world that's vastly beyond your area. It's natural for us to doubt ourselves or come up with reason why things wont work out for us the way they work for others. Everything will be priced differently on a local level but don't ever let that stop you. you can always price items differently depending on the platform. Increase your price for online sales that require shipping. Post a lower price for FB marketplace and local transactions.. You can win at this brother.
I’m in to woodworking for about 2 months. Didnt do much, except sawdust… and since it’s beech material made fro firewood I think I’ll make firestartes :D and will try to make some candleholders too. Thanks fot the idea. Have a good time in your workshop. Just finished my first project made out of 2 fence picket’s and a shelfe, turning them in a box to transport 6 jar’s of honey. So proud, my firs fence picket’s project :)
That’s freakin awesome ! Congrats ‘ the hard part is out of the way. The first project is always the toughest ‘ good luck on your woodworking journey ! 🫡
Hahaha😂 “Them damn chickens i swear” i thought for a second that you would end the sentence with “I’ll eat you for Christmas” 😂 couldn’t help laughing 4:15 And from the moment you mentioned it, the only thing heard the next minute was chickens. I even had to rewind a couple of times to keep my focus😅 that was pretty fun! I’m really impressed with how fast these items sold. And the candle holders walnut feet suited it very nicely👍 Thanks for sharing and the laugh!
Hell yeah !!! Lmao ! Damn chi-kiddies! Haha I was gonna yell out shut your asses up before you become teriyaki chicken tomorrow for dinner ! lol maybe if they sound off in the next video I’ll say that ‘ lmao ! 🫡 thanks for always being such an awesome person !
Great ideas! Luv watching your videos to get me inspired. Thanks for the Etsy tips too. Considering opening an Etsy store when I get some products made. Take care! Your neighbour from the North 🇨🇦😀
Thanks so much from your neighbor to the south . .. I’m so glad my videos bring inspiration to you ‘! That means so much and is the main thing I look for in the comments is if people are inspired’ thanks again and stay amazing! 🫡
As always great job. Have you ever made a video on how to get started on Etsy or getting started selling online? I’ve watched several videos by others: just was curious what your take on all that was. Keep on keeping on. You make my day when you post your videos. Thanks for all you do brother.
Please don’t change your heart and passion for the things you enjoy. God has a special place for you brother. Like I said before I’d love to meet you one day. Maybe you can build a project with one of your subscribers and I might get lucky enough to watch a master Viking at work. I put on your channel and let it play all night. I can’t do much but I can watch the shot outta your videos even with my eyes closed 🫣😂 I’ve got so many ideas for videos. Seems like everyone on here is doing the monkey see monkey do kinda stuff. That why you stand out in my opinion. And I’m jealous of your hair lol coming from a bald guy 🙃😂 you will be at 500,000 subscribers in no time brother and you deserve it.
Hi Daniel, I like your videos. I’m recently retired due to health reasons and d need to supplement my SS. So I’m hoping that your advice turns out to be a blessing for me. I was wondering do you use boxes for shipping? And, where would I get the correct boxes for my projects. Thanks
I use Lowe’s medium size cardboard boxes for most shipping but for funny shaped projects just search google for funny shaped shipping boxes and there are hundreds of sites , good luck bro
Gotta he realistic , about 80% of woodworkers don’t have all that fancy stuff and I can relate , and at the same time there are so many projects to make that don’t take having all those fancy tools ‘ I appreciate the views and comment ! You’re an absolute rock star 💫
I appreciate that as well. I don't have whole lot and what I do have is not top of the line by any means, lol. WEN, Menards Router Table, CHEAP Homecraft Mitre Saw, a couple DeWalt power tools. Saving for a Skil Jobsite Tablesaw right now
Yeah so many woodworkers on UA-cam have thousands of dollars worth of tools. It’s just not feasible for a weekend warrior. Thanks for your content. I subscribed
Amazing work again sir! Love the candle holder design. I would like to ask where you get your timber? There are few options where I live. Keep up the great work!
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks thank you again for the reply and advice. I very much appreciate you taking the time to respond to the comments. That means a lot.
@gregbaldwin6428 it’s mutual brother ! I appreciate the comments and in turn appreciate the fact that I have comments to reply to ! Stay cool brother !
Hey Daniel, really enjoying your videos. I had a brain fart. What does ASMR stand for? How do you like your shadow line on the mitre saw? Is it pretty accurate? I have a Kolbalt and it uses a laser marker.
I always use the shadow … ASMR is basically “autonomous sensory meridian response “ satisfying sounds that trigger . Lol . But yes my shadow line is quite accurate
I have noticed that you sometimes leave out some of your costs. For example, you didn't include the cost of the candles in this one. I have seen similar omissions in some of your other videos. just a minor complaint but keep up the great work. I'm getting some very good ideas.
Hey man! Thanks for the ideas ! I have a question for you: I have an Etsy account also. Do you pay for advertising? Because I do!! And my items don’t sell that fast 😅. If you have any advice, tips or tricks for selling I’m sure more than one person will appreciate it! Keep on building
That is a video I posted a few days ago that may help . Also offer free shipping , and put on a sale at 15% off so the buyer sees that you’re offering free shipping and that there is a sale , and just adjust your price accordingly brother . 🫡
So I'm really thinking about joining etsy right now I'm just selling on Facebook market place locally is etsy hard do you need a business license do you need to claim what you sell on taxes
Claim taxes yes , business lic no. Etsy can be very awesome , it has marketing through Etsy as well that helps a ton if you’re ever slow they can market for like $1- per day up to like 100$ per day , I tend to feel 5$ a day every now and then can help newer shops.
@@michaelcovey711 because I post and once they sell they’re gone as I don’t make multiple posts , the items in my video I post are posted and once they sell Boom. .. they’re gone . I have other items on there other than my jewelry boxes , I have a piece of wall decor that has not yet sold and a few more money clips that haven’t sold still in my Etsy page along with my jewelry boxes that have not yet sold
@@michaelcovey711 so say I wanted to make an item that people could order I would have a photo of something posted with the amount and people could open order as they want , but I don’t do open orders as I don’t have enough time to be able to keep up with something I wouldn’t have already had ready . So I post custom pieces as a one time order and once they purchase it’s gone from my Etsy page so I don’t have multiple orders and then all the sudden I have to make 8 more because 8 more people purchased them and I only had one of that item actually built . I hope that makes sense
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks I can see what you have sold on your page as of right now it is 125 sales and I went through those and did not see anything that you made on the youtube channel.

I am going to do something crazy which may get me a lot of spam sent to my email …… BUT IM GONNA SAY TO HELL WITH THE MEMBERSHIP … and give my email out in the next video I post and simply say hey for now on you don’t have to join to send me your ideas or projects to have them showcased IN MY VIDEOS … just simply send them to me and I will do it without the membership and if y’all feel like showing some 1.99 love that would be appreciated AS WELL . What do you think sir ? . Hmmmm

I don’t want to add more work to you, I’m just spitballing some ideas. Keep being you and making great videos! But if you do decide to give out your email address, at least you’ll know who “actually” watches your videos. 😁
@jeremiahbell7496 I’ll tell you what brother . Send me your email . I’ll shoot you an email and since you watched that video til the end I’ll shout you out and show your project . 😉🫡
Hell yeah !! That’s what I like to hear ! Happy for ya ! 🫡
Awesome! Congrats!
You are really pumping out these videos! To me, $85 seems like too much but that's because in my area I don't believe stuff sells for thatuch but it's cool that it does work for a lot of people. Seems that set would go for around 50 max I would say for me.
🫡 thanks for the feedback
you've got to keep in mind that the internet opens you to a world that's vastly beyond your area.
@youngrock82 I 1000% agree with this 👆
I like your content, simple builds, great instructions.
I'm working on selling on Etsy but just haven't figured it out yet.

Hahaha😂 “Them damn chickens i swear” i thought for a second that you would end the sentence with “I’ll eat you for Christmas” 😂 couldn’t help laughing 4:15
And from the moment you mentioned it, the only thing heard the next minute was chickens. I even had to rewind a couple of times to keep my focus😅 that was pretty fun!
I’m really impressed with how fast these items sold. And the candle holders walnut feet suited it very nicely👍
Thanks for sharing and the laugh!
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks HAHAHA! Yeah! Promise me you’ll say that next time, that would be so hilarious 🤣
The pleasure is all mine Viking
I like this style better where you are showing the posting and the sale of the items. Shows you are not bullshitting like so many UA-camrs are.
Lol I feel you . No worries 😉 I ain’t very good at bullshitin .
Just today I made a bunch of candle holder s
Hell yeah brother ‘ I love hearing this !
As always great job. Have you ever made a video on how to get started on Etsy or getting started selling online? I’ve watched several videos by others: just was curious what your take on all that was. Keep on keeping on. You make my day when you post your videos. Thanks for all you do brother.
I love this comment ! I so appreciate your views and comment ! I’ll be doing a video on that subject soon brother ! Thanks again
Watching a 2nd time - too bad I cant double like the post.
lol thanks bro
Hi Daniel, I like your videos. I’m recently retired due to health reasons and d need to supplement my SS. So I’m hoping that your advice turns out to be a blessing for me. I was wondering do you use boxes for shipping? And, where would I get the correct boxes for my projects. Thanks
I use Lowe’s medium size cardboard boxes for most shipping but for funny shaped projects just search google for funny shaped shipping boxes and there are hundreds of sites , good luck bro
👍👍

One thing I like about your videos is your shop doesn't have the big fancy tools.
@@jdr0414 awesome man I appreciate that !!
KEEP THE CHICKENS reminds me we're the working class.
Damn strait
Who the hell would hit the dislike button??? Seriously... Damn trolls
My thoughts exactly
Amazing work again sir! Love the candle holder design. I would like to ask where you get your timber? There are few options where I live. Keep up the great work!
There should be a link in description but let me double check that . Thanks for viewing comments Btw
I had no idea people would pay that much for simple woodworking
Indeed !!! 🫡
You just decided to go fuq it.. Let's up the game! AGAIN
I couldn’t help myself lol !
I have noticed that you sometimes leave out some of your costs. For example, you didn't include the cost of the candles in this one. I have seen similar omissions in some of your other videos. just a minor complaint but keep up the great work. I'm getting some very good ideas.
Thanks for the feedback 🫡 I’ll tighten that up !
Hey man! Thanks for the ideas !
I have a question for you:
I have an Etsy account also. Do you pay for advertising?
Because I do!! And my items don’t sell that fast 😅.
If you have any advice, tips or tricks for selling I’m sure more than one person will appreciate it!
Keep on building
These 4 Steps Will Blow Your Sales Through the Roof !
ua-cam.com/video/njFD8IAdYIs/v-deo.html
That is a video I posted a few days ago that may help . Also offer free shipping , and put on a sale at 15% off so the buyer sees that you’re offering free shipping and that there is a sale , and just adjust your price accordingly brother . 🫡
There are no dislikes Da, if there are definately mistakes due to the fat fingers
Where did you get the candles glass from??? Did they come with candles??
Yes
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks OK, where did you get them from??
How long is that 2x4 in the states? You guys have incredible low prices for wood
Prices are still to high here even in the states
👍🏻

Do you always use map gas or do you use propane sometimes?
Propane , butane , map gas. The map has tends to work quicker for demonstrations if ya get what I’m saying lol.
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks yep it burns hotter.
What shipping service do you use?
Pirate
Did it sale with candles.
Yes I included the candles for the hell of it
What length brads do you use for these and the lanterns pleez?
1 1/4” for the thinner pieces 1”
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks ThanX
What’s your Etsy shop under
It in my bio on YT. Deeprootcreations
You don’t charge for time and overhead
Sure do
What is the name of your Etsy Store?
It’s in my bio . Deeprootcreations
Why is nothing you show you have made and sold on Etsy on your Etsy store? All I see on there is jewelry boxes.
That’s not a chicken!!
Haha
The rooster says.............
Omg that’s hilarious
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks love your channel, really enjoy the content and how you break down the builds
I question the price he claims to get for similar items.
Like which items brother ?
