I'm a total beginner trying to learn as much as I can before I tackle building some garden walls in my yard. I'm just curious, when you say in the title that this is a dry stone wall, why do you also use mortar/cement? I thought dry stone meant stone only?
Bellísimo trabajo en piedra 👊👊👏👏
Bravo maestro very nice job
Thank you!

Hello. The curve of the wall is true dry stone and the cladding is with mortar. Thanks for watching!
How much did all this stone cost? If you don't mind.
£145 + VAT per tonne I think, but I was sub-contracting on this job.
Why did you decide to not block wall behind the curved section? Will that be the self-drain?
Yes and also because that is the dry stone section. Would not be true if it had block behind it. Thank you for watching! 👍
Is there any batter on the wall face?
Yes on the curve, and just slight on the cladding 👍
When to use mortar and not?
That is the question 👍
Crack on sort of like getter done. 👍😂
