    Hi, what is they backing material behind the stonework? Do you know of any suitable spacing material that would work against a timber frame house to allow an even 50mm cavity?

    • @J.HarveyStonework
      @J.HarveyStonework Годину тому

      Hi Paul, it’s called “SureCav”. First time I have worked with it and so far so good! I’m pretty sure it’s ideal for your needs but do your research.

    Been watching now for a month or so. Now hooked. I love this type of work,a lot of care and attention. The traditional methods of hand crafts and timber frames and cob homes is something i like to follow. Keep up with the good work. Look after your mental health,and check on your mates. All the best.

    Absolutely stunning. I admire your vision, spirit and work ethic. The constant hammering and chipping of the stones must play havoc with your joints....... do you suffer with this, such as tennis elbow and the likes?

      Thanks for watching Danny! Sometimes it can play up especially in cold weather, fingers tingle, carpal tunnel etc. I just keep stretching everything, and keep hands warm and dry. Also not using heavy hammers and hitting too hard.

    As the stonework is also the outer leaf of the wall, would it be considered structural or decorative?? Or both?

    • @J.HarveyStonework
      @J.HarveyStonework 5 днів тому

      The block work is the main structure but then the stonework is tied to it, so it also would give support but yeah overall its both in a way.
