You are incredibly smart. I agree 100%. You can't talk pro black but be engaged to a white man. Her boss Byron Allen who owns the Grio was trying to talk the same pro black talk on the breakfast club but he's married to a white woman. This is a controversial ploy for book sales.
Eboni is not someone I knew of prior to this. However, she could not have made a worse introduction by doubling down on her gaffes by shidding on working class men/people out here doing their best to make ends meet. The only reason she can't relate to the struggle of the common man is she's not risking any of her money. She's in the comfortable lane as a high paid employee, shidding on others in her same position with regular salaries.

Pro black works only 1 way and many people learn this the hard way. She left the community which is her right to do. She can come back whenever she likes, dip in and out as many times as she likes for whatever reasons, her ancestors earned her that. But what she's not gonna do is assume an elder position just cuz she wants it and skip over all the day 1's that put in the work of toeing the line cuz not everyone can leave, when you step down you go to the back of the line and advise in a productive manner, helping young black girls code for example. She doesn't have the people's ear anyway she's wasting her time trying, we don't like her, arguing her case, using stats, invoking ancestors doesn't work here especially using European paternalistic values and authority systems - like really? Welcome to group politics and we already settled the matter on the talented 10th speech during the 80s. We move as a unit warts and all but our culture can't be ratified by 1 person who couldn't even bother to learn the rules nor live by them. I am very wary of BW in high positions because they are compromised. Rarely have I every seen a BW come up through sheer hard work and gumption. Corporate, federal, military, and even private businesses are largely based on networking and who you know in order to get ahead. So in their progression there are a lot of “favors” owed and paid back behind closed doors. BW are more malleable and easily influenced by WS in the workplace than BM. If you don’t believe ask a successful BW how to get to her position and she has no real answer. Ask a successful BM and he will tell you step by step exactly how to reach his position.
