Ethan... you are freaking AMAZING! Not many people are as adaptable as you. One month you're living in the paradise that is Curacao.... then, in the blink of an eye, you're swimming in a river with baby elephants and have an entire island to yourself in Thailand... and now, you're living in a U-Haul! But the coolest part is that through all this... you continue to be upbeat and optimistic! Every day is an adventure! I know that feeling. I hope you never lose your wanderlust and your love for life! Keep being amazing! Looking forward to your next adventure... in Utah!! I also hope you'll travel internationally again soon!!
Bless you Ethan! Thanks for brightening my day! I'm so glad you have found a new Dogdog friend! Yay! I too will always remember the fabulous Millie! Dogs are so unique. They live such short lives. But they produce such joy and teach us such great lessons. When each dog leaves, their awareness joins the totality of dog. They become a part of all dogs. Dogs learn through each others lives. The biggest part of the gift of Dog is to be in the moment with them. They remind us that life is so valuable and it moves on swiftly. And then another dog comes to continue the lessons of love that are dog! That is the gift. Dogs come and go, but Millie is still helping us all through the continuing awareness of dog! Dogs teach us to celebrate instead of clinging! A most amazing and beautiful gift! Can't wait to meet your new four legged friend! 🐕🍀💞
You are very resourceful Ethan! It was great to see you effortlessly proving it with smiles and terrific humor. 🎉Having recently driven the same size U-Haul truck from Florida to Maine I really appreciated your camping in it. Mine was packed to the gills so I couldn’t pull that off. Looking forward to enjoying your Utah videos and meeting the new very lucky pup!!
As I said before, I camped in a U-Haul van not a box van. I think a van would have been safer and then you would have heat and AC. If I had to do it again I think I would rent a Penske van free unlimited miles. But Ethan you are a very resourceful fearless young man. Stay safe and safe travels.
Very clever solution for camping! It must've been good to get out of that parking lot. Another stunning night sky in Colorado. Lovely. Some days, I still can't talk about Bailey, my chocolate lab, and she died from cancer six years ago! I was too heartbroken to make room for another pet, but in my travels I found my cat Sammy, when she was a wee kitten of only 5 weeks old, stranded in the middle road, curled up on the yellow lines, because she's blind! Moments after I pulled over to pick her up and returned to my car on the side of the road, an 18-wheeler blew by! She's been traveling with me everywhere since then. So, I can't wait to meet your new pup. As much as you miss Millie, it's good to have room in your heart for more puppy love. And you'll never forget Millie; such a good girl. Glad you're safe, your truck is repaired, and that you're enjoying Utah!
Wow, that view of the stars was absolutely amazing! I honestly have never seen it like that because I've never been so far out in the middle of nowhere that light pollution didn't affect the view. I'm glad you had a good time camping in the U-Haul, lol. Stay safe Ethan 🫶😁
Ethan....I wish I could hug you from Florida....Im so sorry what happend to Millie! Giving another dog your love, and showing the dog all the beautiful places you go is worth it.....
"Lock" the outside hook open, don't just "latch" it please. Vice grip, screwdriver, something to wedge the door rollers down from the inside. Pull the lifting strap inside to lift the door. Sleep naked, (except that) clothes under with you to dress inside the warmth. Breathing inside your covers raises humidity and you will be colder. U-Hauls have good alternators and batteries. Proud of you... seen to always have a positive attitude.. So glad truck is back together. Yay.. Brice, Arches, Powell, Zion love Utah too. Lived in Monticello for 3 years . The eye candy is awesome too, and very kind people. Enjoy. Hugz~
Sorry about the transmission but your attitude thru everything involved has been so positive! Thank you for your wonderful spirit and sharing with all of us!
That shot of the sky at night (the Milky Way Galaxy) was SPECTACULAR! Makes one think how really small and basically insignificant that the earth really is in the grand scheme things. 😉
I know you sometimes have to make do but I would be terrified of getting trapped in the back there and no one coming to my rescue for weeks, maybe months, before I am found. Gives me chills just thinking about it. Hope your truck is repaired soon. If you ever do this again spend ten dollars and buy a small hand axe so you can claw your way out.
Millie: "Thank you, my dear Ethan, for giving me such a wonderful life filled with love! You may see me out of the corner of your eye or see my paw prints on your blanket, but don't be alarmed: It's just me looking out for you and your new pupper! And know that someday you and your new pup will find me waiting patiently for you at the far end of the Rainbow Bridge!"
Good morning Ethan I'm so to hear that you got your camper back and now you can enjoy your journey and I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog to cancer and your getting a new one 😊 have a good day Ethan be safe ❣️🤠
It’s pretty impressive how you can make getting stuck in a parking lot with a major vehicle malfunction , and nights in the back of a UHaul into another delightful and interesting show!
Everything that you go through, turn out to be a pleasant adventure for me because you’re awesome and funny,Ethan.Thank you for sharing.Love from Brazil.
So sorry about Millie Ethan. That's a sad fact that our fur babies don't have the same life span as us but they sure give us plenty of love and companionship while they're here. Stay safe and cautious while traveling. A lot of us really care about you.
Glad the transmission is fixed and you made it to Utah safely. So sorry to hear about Millie I am sure you miss her very much. Looking forward to seeing your new fur baby. Safe travels and big hugs.
Watch out. Steve Wallis got banned from for life from Uhual doing a Ujual camping video. Blur out all images of "Uhaul" logol and change any titles or references to "moving truck".
Another great video. Hopefully no one from U-Haul sees this video. The Steve Wallis channel did a camping in -40° weather in a U-Haul and he's since been put on their DNR (Do Not Rent) list. Apparently they don't like people camping in their vehicles.
Dear Ethan - it so inspiring to see your videos inspiring young people go explore and better their lives in the process. I guess most of your fans have a lot support and praises for you Nevertheless please be security conscious and vigilant of your surroundings in your adventures around the world Do keep your loved ones be aware your journey and pit stops Take care and happy exploring your world Ethan 😊
Glad your transmission has been repaired. I'm no mechanic, but to drop and replace a transmission in four hours has me thinking those mechanics knew what they were doing. That's a big job. It was exceeding nice of them to let you hang-out there awaiting the parts.
Glad you got your truck tranny fixed. Sorry for your loss and your gain. Lost my black lab who adopted me Sept year ago and I still feel it. When another one comes to me, I'll have one. All of mine my entire 76 years have come to me. Never gone after one. Can still name every one of them.❤🙏
Ethan, you’re a born adventurer, absolutely brilliant. Little tip, buy a hot water bottle if you haven’t already got one. A really useful way to spend $10. I’ve followed your channel since the start and seeing your vlogs grow in confidence and viewership is fantastic. Really proud of you 🥰
Camping by the side of a road in an out-of-the way place is common in western states (fishermen, hikers, etc.). Although it's possible there might be hoodlums around, it wouldn't be something to get worried about.
Do you know that you are the most beautiful child in the world and so cute? I love your smile and the way you speak. It's amazing and wonderful. You have such lovely powers hidden away.
Ethan you have some interesting adventures. I am glad your truck is fixed and you are safe. I was concerned about you sleeping in the UHaul. You are safe and okay. The music fit the video as well.
Great Video Ethan, you are a very resourceful young man. Please be safe out there on your travels. I am sorry to hear about your dog Milley. I look forward to seeing your new puppy.
While I'm a little bummed about the circumstances that kept you here, I'm happy you got to spend so much time in Colorado and see so many of my favorite parts of the state. I'm glad you're back to the travel part, but can't wait till you're back.
Ah, the life of a vagabond! I am glad your truck is on the mend. Great brainstorming there. I would have never thought of a box truck for day tripping and camping. Godspeed.
You improvised and made it through a tough situation, hopefully it's smooth motoring for a while! Can't wait to "meet" the lucky dog who found it's way to you!
my father and I and some friends from SLC did the Uhaul camping and fishing thingy long time ago at Lake Strawberry near Heber City on US 40. We pulled the boat with the truck rental and the four of us slept in the back of the truck for a few nights. Lake Strawberry is pretty high up there so overnight temps at this time of year are probably below freezing but your camper would be ideal to visit this lake.
Your confidence is so attractive 😂 I would've been petrified to even sleep in the uhaul let alone take it for a camping truck 😂. I love how you are so confident and it's motivating Ethan. You are literally the calm in the storm. ☺️❤️😌
Great Video! Beautiful Scenery and the night sky in those mountains! Just Amazing, and great quality video of the stars! My cell in my city lights does not get the stars much, so you must have a great camera! I was worried for you, with that door that just locked open! I was so relieved when you got your truck back, and that you were not locked in the back! Walt
I'm glad you got you vehicle repaired. You may be the 1st person to have ever rented a U-Haul truck to live in and take to a campground. btw, some UA-camrs actually like to meet their fans, but I totally understand why you lied about leaving your location, when you mistakenly revealed your location. I wouldn't want random strangers unexpectedly showing up where I'm at either.
This was quite an adventure and at some points rather frustrating. It's too bad you weren't in an area where you could have rented a passenger van or suv. I'm afraid the U-Haul van looked kind of sketchy but you made it work. Thank God you're finally out of there and in UTAH. I pray nothing else goes wrong with the camper. Good luck.
Just for future reference you are better doing all your charging / running of things when you are driving because the vehicle alternator has more than enough capacity to do that without in any way compromising charging the battery. The same is true in any vehicle where there is a battery charged by the vehicle. In fact if you turn the temperature on your fridge right down to almost freezing while driving and then back to normal when you stop you save using battery power as it won’t need to start up for a while once you stop. I find I can go all night without the fridge kicking in if I have super cooled it off Solar during the day.
How very resourceful! With the cost of the transmission repair eating up your budget I can understand why you would try to find a very inexpensive way to sleep and stay in the meantime. Too bad you don’t have either a propane heater that you could’ve used as long as you could’ve vented it outside or a solar powered generator that you can charge up maybe at the repair shop before you go camping and then run an electric heater for at least part of the night.
I face a $4900 transmission bill (Ford's dual clutch problem). But I've encouraged the dealership to watch your last video about a transmission failing going up a mountain.
Ethan, you are so brave, by camping and traveling around alone. There is no way that I could do that. You need a dog. I have seen several solo campers that have a dog with them. Be safe out there.
I wish I could have a life like yours! No 9 to 5 job just being a free spirit and documenting it as I go. Or what life that would be. You're an inspiration.❤
your videos are awesome. As always I learn so much from your resourcefulness. getting ready to camp myself with some friends who are coming down from Utah
I love watching your content. And I'm a bit of a scaredy cat so I'd be freaked out to camp in a U-haul with people standing outside. But you do it and l love it!
Hey Ethan, it's so neat seeing you drive that Uhual truck! You seem to really enjoy nature. I guess you just like ruffing it more than other people. It's all about having fun and enjoying yourself. Happy trails to you Ethan.😮😊

In terms of worrying about the battery going - just leave the truck/car in park with the engine running idle - at least with most cars, you can get like 2-3 days of constant idle. I don't know if that trick will go that long, but it's fine for a few extra hours of keeping food from going bad.
Get a pair of vice grips. Put it in the track so they can’t roll the door up. Put a lock on the handle hole so they can’t lock you in there from the outside.
Feel free to check out my OF! Find me at EthanTravels
SPOILER ALERT !! I seen your new doggie on Instagram And the new doggie is a cutie ! What a lucky owner to have to get to travel the country ! 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕

I’m guessing cost considerations for the uhaul vs. a camper van. A $4500 expense makes you a bit budget conscious.

All anyone needs 2do is lock the latch in the open position. Also, put a clamp on the roller track to hold the door open a few inches.
I am completely impressed by your ability to live by yourself and do all these things.
pretty sure he isn't by himself when cam is off :)

Always so happy to see Millie's teddy bear.
Ethan, I think you sometimes take too many risks when sleeping in the middle of nowhere. Take great care of yourself
I reckon so too. Brave li'l campster.

I was thinking the same thing!
You must not forget; his camera-man is also there.

Another fabulous video and Colorado looks beautiful. I love your energy and you genuinely seems like such a nice and kind hearted guy. ⛺️
Great Video Ethan, you are a very resourceful young man. Please be safe out there on your travels. I am sorry to hear about your dog Milley. I look forward to seeing your new puppy.
That sky at night was amazing!
It’s a bummer your truck broke down. But that’s life sometimes, I guess. Glad you’re back on the road doing what you love!
Glad you are back on the road. Love you.❤❤
Glad your truck is up and running again. I always look forward to your videos. Please continue on your safe travels.
I liked the views of the mountains
I absolutely love your adventures. Please stay safe and well. Peace

You are amazing taking dogs with no hope sn hiving them a home with love
Ethan's famous last words, "I will be careful with this door". Oh my....what could possibly go wrong? 😎😎
Thanks for the update. And glad to hear you are back on the road. You should be good for a few thousand miles now.
I love your videos. What an adventure. You are such a strong individual to Cary on. Thank you.
Nice to see you happy
Ah, the life of a vagabond! I am glad your truck is on the mend. Great brainstorming there. I would have never thought of a box truck for day tripping and camping. Godspeed.
Get a Terracotta pot and some tea candles with a couple a bricks . It will definitely heat up in there.
Always full of surprises, E. Only grand adventures ahead for you!
I like your trips Ethan, you look like a bright boy but please take care of yourself and stay safe ❤
You are brave and amazing..
That lake was a real beauty. Looking forward to meeting your new dog travel companion.
Good to hear you got the transmission fixed and back on the road
Thank you for bringing a breath of the big country to very urban London
You improvised and made it through a tough situation, hopefully it's smooth motoring for a while! Can't wait to "meet" the lucky dog who found it's way to you!
So good.......Great film work editioning. The footage is amazing and so interesting. You are really cute too.
I am surprised you did not bring a Little Buddy heater.
Good to see you back on the road!

Sorry about your pup.
Great Video! Beautiful Scenery and the night sky in those mountains! Just Amazing, and great quality video of the stars! Always fun watching your adventures
I'm glad you got you vehicle repaired. You may be the 1st person to have ever rented a U-Haul truck to live in and take to a campground. btw, some UA-camrs actually like to meet their fans, but I totally understand why you lied about leaving your location, when you mistakenly revealed your location. Nice stationary shot with grasshopper in foreground, you in background with action. Good cinematography. 👍
Ethan, thank you very much again for your beautiful video. Love
My condolences to Millie.♥♥♥
Love ur upbeat journey through life and so glad that truck door didn't get stuck with u in it.....
You are a brave man. You need a strong man with you for protection.
Ethan, you are f-king -Amazing excellent person. I absolutely love listening to your voice.
If the van is rocking, don’t come knocking
You have my interest. I hear a lot of good things about Utah.
Good luck.
Best wishes from Wales 🏴
Do what makes you feel comfortable 🙏🫂❤️
It would have been great to have your new Pup for warmth in that freezing cold Uhaul bed!
I wish I had that adventure spirit. Never thought of a Uhaul truck that way.
Glad you’re really on the road again. I’m with you on Utah being beautiful.
Utah has got to be one of my favorite places too. I can’t wait to see where you take us!
I wish I could have a life like yours! No 9 to 5 job just being a free spirit and documenting it as I go. Or what life that would be. You're an inspiration.❤
Do you have a Teddy Bear? That's sweet!
your videos are awesome. As always I learn so much from your resourcefulness. getting ready to camp myself with some friends who are coming down from Utah
heck I'd have helped to keep you in the uhaul 😘
Hi Ethan, It's good to see you back up and running.
It's been quite awhile since I've watched you - sorry, but I've been dealing with some major personal problems. Very nice to see you again! 😊
I love watching your content. And I'm a bit of a scaredy cat so I'd be freaked out to camp in a U-haul with people standing outside. But you do it and l love it!
much positive energy 🎉
Hey Ethan, it's so neat seeing you drive that Uhual truck! You seem to really enjoy nature. I guess you just like ruffing it more than other people. It's all about having fun and enjoying yourself. Happy trails to you Ethan.😮😊
thank you for sharing.
Omg I was worried about you …I had visions of the latch to the shutter dropping down on you locking you in ..
that would of been another massive expense to replace the door when you’ve kicked it in …
You sure do take risks if I met you I wouldn’t be able stop myself in giving you a stern lecture on the dangers of playing Russian roulette with your safety … 😂 tut tut tut
In terms of worrying about the battery going - just leave the truck/car in park with the engine running idle - at least with most cars, you can get like 2-3 days of constant idle. I don't know if that trick will go that long, but it's fine for a few extra hours of keeping food from going bad.
