Ethan, lawd you need yourself a good daddy bf. I'm surprised you haven't found you a good man, you are super sweet. Hey have you ever went down to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina? Lots of camping grounds. You could then be at the Beach, might be a fun fun place. Of course we have neato national forests in South Carolina and North Carolina. I love your videos, you are just a super nice guy and super handsome guy. Take care and fun travels man! -Kevin
I am pretty sure that the first 2 seconds of this video 0:00 summarizes what to expect on the OF profile :-) I think Ethan is one of the hottest guys in here…
This is when you discover factory builds are not designed for full time. A few vacations a year and even then they are only used for sleeping breakfast and occasional other meals. Yes fixtures and fittings begin to soon break. My advice from across the pond. Find a mini bus or similar as they come ready lined and with windows and do a self build. Start with just the bare necessities, live in the space as you build so you can design it very specifically to your needs.
Fun fact: You don't need to set the water temp to high. The laundry detergent washes away bacteria and most brands have anti-bacterial agents on their formulations.
There are so many ways to economize when living in a small space, with limited utilities. I have an uncle who had a motor home , and did not use his water heater in a conventional way. He put an incandescent light bulb inside the area where the water heater was, and the heat from the light warmed the water in the water heater, saving on propane…(I’m not saying it was very warm, but it wasn’t cold.) he also conserved water with the “wet, soap, rinse” method, which used less water. Definitely cleaning as you go keeps the small space feeling good to you. And everything you can keep to a minimum will save on fuel, as weight will bring down your mileage somewhat. And it’s hard enough to keep a place tidy with one person, so two or more can really tax the living space. Thanks for the unglamorous tour!❤❤
Regarding the propane door, it looks like you have a door clip attached to the right edge of your refrigerator vent. Lift up the bottom edge of that clip, and open your propane door all the way and that clip will latch to the edge of door and hold it open.
Not sure if it's a door clip or a simple magnet, but yeah, I would imagine that something has been designed to hold this door. I just don't think Ethan cares much about it though, a self-standing door is not as fun. 😄
Fortunately Peaches is a short haired dog, which reduces the dust she'll track in, as well as less of a shedding hair. issue I adopted a 2nd dog as a puppy to give my small short haired dog companionship. The puppy turned into a fairly large dog, and she loves being outside, but also loves to frequently coming back into the house. It is unbelievable the amount of dirt and debris she manages to bring in with her feet and on her fur,. I also guess coming through the doggie door may release a lot of the dirt into the air of my house and deposit it everywhere too. She sheds a lot too, and I really don't how she isn't bald with the amount of hair that accumulates on the floor everyday. I envy you living in a camper, because it's so much less to clean. Be safe and I wish you the best.
I've done the RV thing and I can tell you Ethan, that you really have mastered the art and science of it. You're doing a fantastic job and anyone would be proud to camp with you because you instill confidence and comfort as best can be done with this type of camping.
Ethan you are an exceptional young man. Not many could handle your lifestyle. I wish you good fortune and pray for your continued safety. I hope you have some kind of defense for yourself. May God keep you safe.
I have been following you for a few years now. I am impressed with how self-sufficient and independent you are for your age. Something we do not see much of in today's world. Bravo to you, Ethan! You inspire so many people.
I've watched a lot of RVing channels (just nerdy fascination) and at no time was I ever attracted to getting on the road, mostly because it looked like a lot of work and I'm fundamentally lazy. I love the honesty of your reporting of your journey Ethan. And in a sense, you are a reporter. Whatever else you do, that's a service to society that I admire. Also, I think your camera work is very good. It doesn't really matter what country you're in they've all been good because it's your take on it that makes it interesting.
You certainly stay busy! This life of yours is not all fun and games. I love watching and listening to you, you certainly have developed your character over the years! Very sweet bit at the end with Peaches watching your game and wagging her tail for you. 💖💖💖
Hey Ethan, it's awesome to see how well you tidy up your living space! Just knowing that you make your bed on a daily basis shows that you're more organized than the majority of guys I know. Seems like you purchase many of the same products I get at Walmart too. It's neat how you're such a handyman and don't wait around for someone to help you out. Well it was great seeing all of the tasks you have to perform to continue living your camper life. Maybe next time you can show us how you go about editing your videos to upload them to YT!😮😊
Hey Ethan, FYI we have a travel trailer and this summer we had a Tankless Water Heater installed. It uses LP for heating and runs off the 12V system. As soon as you turn on the hot water you have as much as you need so long as you have fuel and power. We also noted that it takes less fuel to operate than water heaters with a tank. It was worth every penny of the $500 to buy the appliance and $200 to have it installed. We have run out of hot water or had to take a shower without and your cold shower prompted us to share with you. I hope this is a help for you!
FYI: If your wood screws on your doors will not reattach, just stick a wooden match stick or a small twig in the hole, break off even with the outside surface, and then the screws can now be tightened and will hold the hinges like new.
My advice when you fill your tank of potable water, let it run a bit, just to see if the first drops of water are clear (sometimes it can rest for a long time in those pipes)
Ethan, this is the kind of info we need! You: the tank took $100 to fill, I had to to switch the porpane tank at 6am in the cold...ALL OTHER RVer: it was another day we got up at 6 am and left by 10 with no explination. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR DETAILS. YOU ARE THE BEST OF RV YOUtUBErS
You absolutely need blue IKEA bags for laundry. They fold away nicely, but they're sturdy and work for ages and ages. I keep a number of different sizes, both the regular kind and the backpack style.
Get u'r self a rechargeable vacuum cleaner. They are one of the best inventions for RVs as well as Airfryers. I use both in my camper. Which I live in in Ireland.
Love your videos! Reminds me of my own travel filled past! My favorite spot to camp was Dillon, CO! Breathtaking! Have fun and be safe and keep the vids coming!
So if your black water valve gets sticky, when it’s empty next time throw in a bottle of corn oil and this will help lubricate the rubber gaskets and the valve will free up and be much easier to open the next time
Hi Ethan, thanks for sharing this video. I was just wondering why you don't reuse the plastic water bottles you bought and just also refill them where you fill up your big water tank? When I was traveling around Arizona and Utah, I always has like 3 or 4 of those gallons in my car and I would fill them up whereever I could (mostly at the entrace of visitors centers or at campsites). It's cheaper than to have to buy new bottles all the time and it's also better for the environment. Curious what you think of this. Enjoy the ride!
Loved all your Thai videos. I learned at least some of many languages, from around the world, including Thai. Thanks to my dear late father who pampered me. I had a nanny and so much more. Too long to explain. Anyway, getting back to Thai. His late Majesty the previous King of Thailand gave my some language lessons decades ago. I took up languages from Africa, Europe, the Middle and far East and from elsewhere. Just for fun. I have always had a large domestic, and foreign flag collection. I'm friends with the Shah of Iran and many other Royals since I was young. His Majesty gave me permission to fly his Royal flag. Anyway, I'm sure you have hobbies and likes as well. There's simply too much to say. Sorry.
Traveling in a camper by yourself looks like a lot of work just to keep everything shipshape. May I suggest if you're travelling on a major truck route is to locate the truck stops that have showers so you can have a hot shower when you have to stop for fuel or provisions. Perhaps you should use external latches on the cabinets to keep them shut. Maybe consider folding the clothes in the laundromat before you cart them back to the van. It might be easier. Also get one of those strong mesh bags to put your dirty laundry in and carry them back.
Wow...your first camper-van-living round the US, and Thailand seemed more glamorous than this time round, Ethan. I so admire and respect you - this seems a bit stressful, though you have grown-up since the early days. I so enjoy your videos. Thanks for them. Do take care of yourself. Sending a hug!
There is probably some kind of locking hinge/brace/door-latch-clip thingy you could attach and use to hold that propane cabinet door open. Bet you wouldn't regret that. A cloth laundry sack will also alleviate some frustration.
I’m glad you have Peaches for company. I have 4 rescues to love and that love me, The foot of my bed gets crowded but I have a big house a yard for their playtime. Have you given any thought to settling down in one place? I travelled the country camping when I was younger as well. Then took my love for travel international, I worked as a flight attendant and was lucky to get international flights for most of my trips. I saw the world and made some life long friends. Happy trails and safe journey..
Thanks again for another camper living video, I appreciate the honest take on it. And you haven't talked me out of pursuing this semi-glamourous lifestyle :)
After seeing your laundry bag I have a suggestion, put the next post office that you are going to be visiting so that your viewers and fans can send you supplies (like a new laundry bag ) love the content.
Hey Ethan, I love your videos, especially the way you carefully choose your words to avoid saying something awkward. 😁 In regards to the bags you use to carry your laundry, have you thought about using the free-standing collapsible laundry bags? I've found them to be very convenient, and they collapse away to about nothing when I don't need them. And maybe a small support bar to hold the door open while you change out the propane tanks? Happy trails!!
I agree with putting your laundry on hot when using a laundry mat for the reasons you described… to avoid your clothes being too small from shrinkage - purchase larger sizes - when they shrink - they become the size you really want them to be thereafter!
WOW, I thought I hated my chores. There's days I wake up and don't even get out of bed, because I can't convince myself, I want to. I'd rather have mine than clean your trailer. No hate, just preference. Lol
in the beginning you were near Tucson and by the end you were near Flagstaff. It gets cold near Flagstaff this time of year but the forest looks very relaxing. Hope you get the chance to have a nice campfire.
To reduce the amount of dust that comes into the camper when driving, you should open a small vent on the roof (if there is one). It pulls air in. This means that the vacuum created in the camper is less, therefore, less dust comes in! I used to go camping for years with my parents, and this tricks works wonders with the caravan!
gladd to see back in the u.s.a. i enjoyed your videos overseas, but i sure do enjoy your videos in the states. ever tought of traveling in the northern states?
Hi there, just finished watching your last video. Its amazing that you can travel for a living and make videos that are enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work.
If you get a membership to a gym (chain like 24hr Nautilus)... you could use their showers, which are probably warmer and you can stay in the shower as long as you'd like without worrying about running out of water, using propane to heat it or having to drain it later.
Ethan, you seriously need to get a diesel heater. You propane would be back up heat, but mainly for cooking. In my small class c I go 5 months on my propane as I use the diesel heater for heat and have a 12 volt fridge(solar). Diesel heaters are cheap, just ordered another $97 total. The amount of money you spend on propane will kill you. I have a buddy with a small trailer he goes a week on two tanks because everything is propane. Love watching your videos. I'd hel you install the heater if you need help, they're pretty easy. Hope things are going well glad to see you back in the desert southwest.
The mounting hole on the broken cupboard is now damaged, and will not hold well by just putting the screw back in. You need to fill these holes with wood filler, and use wood screws then screw the door to the hinge. Also, to make quick use of cleaning the glass, use a small version of the gas station windshield cleaner tool, rather than a paper towel. I've found that using a cheap paint brush and a cleaner, rather than a paper towel for many cleaning jobs is quite fast and effective. All available at any hardware store.
That was great, thankyou, Ethan! I love Peaches - he's such a sweetie. I once hired a motorhome and drove around the North Island of NZ, with my partner. I remember all the annoying things one has to do each day, but the worst part was the uncountable times I knocked my head in the front (driving) section, but also occasionally in the main cabin: I didn't learn to avoid it until the last morning! Ha-ha. At one stage I was in one of the 4 northbound lanes of the northern Auckland motorway, heading towards the Bay of Islands, and the wind was so strong it was making me weave. Upon arrival at a small town in Northland I inspected the crockery, and amazingly nothing had broken! Thanks again. (you're super-cute, too, lol ;)
Great DITL video, Ethan. Watching this I was like, "Yup. Yup. Yup." The dust and pet hair, constant cleaning and sweeping, making the bed and tidying because the space is so small. Plus all the things that go wrong. Whatever can break, spill, or tumble is going to do just that. And laundry day! The only good thing about that is all the things you can fit in one huge dryer and have them dry in 30 minutes. I still feel it's worth it, though. BTW I recognize the general area in this video. Looking forward to the next one. Safe travels!
A small piece wire to make an "S" hook to hold up/open that LPG door would sure make both of us smile. 😁 If you're ever in NM, look me up! What a great way to live for a while. Love the adventurer in you!
Just came across your video. Love that you are out enjoying life and all the country has to offer. We are full time campers too. If we see you out there we’ll say hi. Stay safe and have fun. Loved your video.
Use a little bit of silicone spray on the lever arms on your dump valves... It will help them.... You will be amazed at how easier they work.... Silicone spray also works great on the flush toilets of R.V.'s
I live in my semi truck 20-25 days out of the month. I cook in here too. So cleaning is a constant companion. I am blessed to have an APU (auxiliary power unit) which maintains a constant temperature setting and provides 3000 watts of electricity through a power inverter. So I don’t need propane. Otherwise our lives are very similar
I understand exactly how you live. I live in a 1987 honey motorhome. The water system is broken somewhere in the wall. The propane tank is rusted and is built in. So I don't use it either. Luckily, I have electricity, and I don't drive anywhere . I also know about the Wal-Mart story. Always be safe.
I never use my RV's toilet without a plastic bag to poop, and I pee outside or use a bottle. I prefer using a camping toilet outside than inside the RV. And as for showers and dish washing, I use a tub for a sponge bath or for washing dishes, the tub's waste water dumped on a bush or tree. The poop in the bag either gets flushed away at another rest room nearby, or deeply buried using a shovel. There are too many nasty chemicals with a portable potty, and using a RV's black tank...
I came across your videos while scrolling through UA-cam looking for ideas for an under bench rabbit hutch. Nothing about rabbit hutches but, still very informative. I live in a small vintage hard side popup (Apache Ranger) but recently have been considering a truck camper. Watching 2 of your videos has changed that consideration into a definite! What is the model of your camper? Ask because the bathroom and shower really sold me on it.
If those wood screws ripped out of the particle board, reinserting them will probably not hold. It would be helpful to dip them in wood glue before reinserting, or use larger screws.
Actually one more tip - break off the shaft of a wooden match and stuff that in the hole with wood glue. ( And thread the screw into that ) That! will hold.
I love camping but yes the additional chores eat up the day at times . Have been watching now for several years and love your videos ! Peaches is so cute and so glad you found a sweet little dog ! Safe travels !
New subscriber here. I like your pooch and happy that you have company you like and an intruder alert. Im curious about your back story. Thanks for sharing.
You are smart to take the time to do this when you are young, I regret not having fun adventures and now life has caught up. Also, please consider a different way with your water as these bottles are so much waste. Get something refillable and use a machine, it is so much cheaper too. Heck, you can even refill the ones you are using now.
You are very creative. In one of your videos you showed art supplies. We would like to see some of you work. When you remodeled your camper you made your own sink top and other things. What is your education--high school, college, trade school, self-taught?
Lovely channel. I would use a cloth laundry bag/s save the plastic. Much more durable and can be washed as well. Get a squeezy and spray bottle for the windows, it works super well and will make that chore a breeze.
there is always ways and means around solving problems. one time in my van found myself in a town delivering parcels. i wasn't able to find any public convinces near to me to relive myself in. i needed to go urgently. i was feeling uncomeatable holding it all in. i walked into a store to buy baby wipes and baby nappy sacks and a wide mason jar. i quickly returned to the back of my van to place the nappy bag between my lower area to deposit my solids into the nappy sack and used the baby wipe within the lower region leaving me feeling as fresh as a daisy. i placed the full nappy sack into a wide sealable jar i found it seals the odour completely inside the jar and not smelling out the van what so ever. i disposed of the contents of the jar later in an apposite waste trash bin. in that moment in time i didn't have any other options but to go into a baby nappy sack. sounds such a bizarre thing to do but in that moment it worked when i had no other option open to me.
So informative, thank you Ethan. All these things you call chores i call fun because chores are not fun. For instance, lets have fun emptying our black tank, lets have fun getting rid of all the dust accumulating from the road. Let's have fun doing the laundry. I guess it's a lot like, 'is the glass half empty, or is it half full?" I guess i want to always keep it half full. Lol You are giving Peaches the best life a dog can have...kudos to that. Love watching your vlogs....have fun in everything you do & stay safe!
You’re just cute as a button! When I was your age I sure wish I would’ve had the guts to do what you’re doing. I was a chicken **it of everything, keep it up. Love to watch you. 🙏❤️❤️
Dust is always all over my 642 sq foot unit, because of black dust from the commuter street on my windows and walls outside, plus dust everywhere inside, always a chore to clean, sometimes not seeing dust in places where I don't look. Some dust just stays for years unseen.
I’m new here and very impressed with your ease with dealing with all that’s involved in van living. It’s definitely not for me but I really enjoy watching your videos.😍
Newbie to your Ethan Travels; despite that the vehicle has more than 200k miles, you have made it the epitome of efficiency and economical living. Thanks for sharing a day in the life of Ethan!
Thanks Ethan..you are so well organized.. but we realise how many of those little jobs you have to do each week. Take care..be safe..and happy. Lol❤😂❤❤😊😊😊😊
I just came across this video, 1st one I've watched of you, Ethan. You're doing an adventure similar to what I did years ago with zero regrets. One word of advice. Always, and I mean always be aware of your surroundings wherever you go. There's no need to be paranoid. Just be aware. Be safe, happy adventures on your travels!!
Hey Eathan you crazy dude. Wow, so lucky just being able to drive around and park where ever you like. Oh, tip number one. Always always take a double roll of " double sided velcro " with you on trips. You simply cut to the length you need, stick one side down and stick the opposite side onto what ever ( the doors in the campervan that swing open ) use velcro would stop all that. Plus you can use it for hundreds of other DIY projects. Keep camping and keep Safe. * Have you ever thought of visiting Scotland ? You'd love the Scottish highlands... ;-)
Feel free to check out my OF! Find me at EthanTravels or find the link in the description!

Some guys want one, some guys don't. I'm sure he knows his options. Yep, cute kid and seems very nice. Might not be into that though.
This is awesome Ethan!! Thanks for sharing. Love your videos. 😊👌🏾

It is impressive that you can make a video of chores enjoyable. Thanks, always nice to visit with you.
Ethan you are an exceptional young man. Not many could handle your lifestyle. I wish you good fortune and pray for your continued safety. I hope you have some kind of defense for yourself. May God keep you safe.
Grew up traveling in a camper all summer with my parents. When I found your channel it brought back memories.

Great Video, Love that you're doing this. i love traveling, camping, you're living the good life.
Neat tip: Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup PineSol to each load of laundry as a disinfectant. Cheap & easy way to combat public washing machines.

In regards to the bags you use to carry your laundry, have you thought about using the free-standing collapsible laundry bags? I've found them to be very convenient, and they collapse away to about nothing when I don't need them. And maybe a small support bar to hold the door open while you change out the propane tanks?
Happy trails!!
Hey Ethan I too live in a truck pulling a travel trailer... I can relate! Hope you can get back to the pacific northwest soon. ❤
Jeremy you have excellent taste in music
I agree with putting your laundry on hot when using a laundry mat for the reasons you described… to avoid your clothes being too small from shrinkage - purchase larger sizes - when they shrink - they become the size you really want them to be thereafter!
I’m enjoying the content of this channel. This young man is so warm and friendly making these videos quite enjoyable. Thanks Ethan.
Aww, Peaches, she looks like such a sweet girl. 🐶
He is so articulate. Must have had great schooling. And so clean! He has Teddy bears in his bed. Adorable.
gladd to see back in the u.s.a. i enjoyed your videos overseas, but i sure do enjoy your videos in the states. ever tought of traveling in the northern states?
Hi there, just finished watching your last video. Its amazing that you can travel for a living and make videos that are enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work.
Great video. Since the campsite you found was so secluded, could you rig up some way to shower outside and save filling up the black water tank?
If you get a membership to a gym (chain like 24hr Nautilus)... you could use their showers, which are probably warmer and you can stay in the shower as long as you'd like without worrying about running out of water, using propane to heat it or having to drain it later.
Great vid thanks for sharing all your trials and tribulations!
Thanks Ethan these are the things we need to know.
Ethon i am very impressed at at how much you shared today i learned alot .Thank you looks like fun take care 😊
Check ur shower it should go into your grey water tank which can be dumped out in the forest along with ur dish water
I don’t know how you do this, you seem so tender, yet so strong❤️❤️
( And thread the screw into that ) That! will hold.
A wooden golf tee covered in glue and hammered in and redrill the hole is also a very effective fix this also works for household.
There is a latch above the propane hatch that will hold the door open.
You are smart to take the time to do this when you are young, I regret not having fun adventures and now life has caught up. Also, please consider a different way with your water as these bottles are so much waste. Get something refillable and use a machine, it is so much cheaper too. Heck, you can even refill the ones you are using now.
Another wonderful video ! Thank you for sharing your daily routines. I admire your courage and adventurous spirit !! All the best.
Your videos always make me laugh a little with the chores etc. very informative the things you run into in a camper!!
Always enjoy your videos. Thanks so much for the work you put into making and editing them!
Enjoyed the "real" road life content this episode.
I learn a lot from these videos about camper life, very interesting.
E, you do realize how much this pup loves you, yes? 🐶
Well, I was thinking about buying an RV, but damn, a lot of work! Maybe I'll keep living at my condo in Boca. Great videos little bro.
My first tie here! Love this idea. You're cute, and , more importantly, your adventure looks like fun I am looking forward to the next. Rob
there is always ways and means around solving problems. one time in my van found myself in a town delivering parcels. i wasn't able to find any public convinces near to me to relive myself in. i needed to go urgently. i was feeling uncomeatable holding it all in. i walked into a store to buy baby wipes and baby nappy sacks and a wide mason jar.
i quickly returned to the back of my van to place the nappy bag between my lower area to deposit my solids into the nappy sack and used the baby wipe within the lower region leaving me feeling as fresh as a daisy. i placed the full nappy sack into a wide sealable jar i found it seals the odour completely inside the jar and not smelling out the van what so ever. i disposed of the contents of the jar later in an apposite waste trash bin. in that moment in time i didn't have any other options but to go into a baby nappy sack. sounds such a bizarre thing to do but in that moment it worked when i had no other option open to me.
Greetings from Flagstaff, fun to see you had stopped at the Woodlands Walmart, stay safe out there.
So informative, thank you Ethan. All these things you call chores i call fun because chores are not fun. For instance, lets have fun emptying our black tank, lets have fun getting rid of all the dust accumulating from the road. Let's have fun doing the laundry.
I guess it's a lot like, 'is the glass half empty, or is it half full?"
I guess i want to always keep it half full. Lol
You are giving Peaches the best life a dog can have...kudos to that.
Love watching your vlogs....have fun in everything you do & stay safe!
You have a great positive attitude and sense of humor!
As one that did a lot of camping in my younger days when one tank ran out I always filled it ASAP. Nothing worse than no heat or ability to cook:)
Very disciplined! Idk if anyone mentioned truck stops. Great large showers, shower shoes recommended, with all waste hook ups. Keep on trucking!
Thank you for making your videos realistic! Love learning from you!
You’re just cute as a button! When I was your age I sure wish I would’ve had the guts to do what you’re doing. I was a chicken **it of everything, keep it up. Love to watch you. 🙏❤️❤️
Well said!
Hi Ethan, you should research a diesel heater. Maybe for backup when your propane runs out.
Newbie to your Ethan Travels; despite that the vehicle has more than 200k miles, you have made it the epitome of efficiency and economical living. Thanks for sharing a day in the life of Ethan!
Nice & Clean Camper👍Chores Keeps Your Mind Occupied Then Rest Off And Enjoy Life.❤️
Great video as usual.. I really admire your adventurous lifestyle!
Very polished video. First time watcher here. Do you have any “guests” over, sometimes? 😉
I live full time in an RV. I'm camping all the time. It's defiantly a different life style.
You'd love the Scottish highlands... ;-)
