Ethan, you should put an AirTag on your keychain, so you can locate your keys when you lose them. Just a suggestion I figured out after having a similar situation happen.
Um, I wouldn't recommend that option. If your keys go down, anybody with the tracker app can find your keys too, as well as follow you. I wear a lanyard around my neck and have my keyring on a d-ring to easily clip and unclip. And one guy I knew kept a spare key inside a magnetic box that he attached to his frame underneath where he knew it would be. Just remember to take it off the frame of the truck before you have any service done because the serviceman might take it off and forget to tell you.

The broken cabinet door... Shove two or three toothpicks or matchsticks into the screw hole, cut or break off any excess that sticks out so it's flush to the edge of the door, then drive the screw back in. Have a specific place to put your keys and put them key there as soon as you come in, before doing anything else, And have a way of getting inside in case of an emergency. Make extra keys for everything. Hide a key to get inside somewhere on the outside. Wear a key around your neck. Whatever you need to be better. You can improve and I bet you will. And lock your truck.

We live near Lake Pleasant in Wittmann, AZ. If you need a place to park for the night you could use our driveway and our property faces the desert. We have water and internet too.
I lost my keys yesterday. Found them in the parking lot and they had been run over but thankfully they worked. Stay in Lowes parking lots. Never been asked to leave. Quiet. They have the best free WIFI that works on the far side of parking lots. They are safer too. Walmart(cars go by all hours) and Home Depot WIFI you have to park up close.
Like the haircut! Loved how Peaches was having a grand old time playing when your were talking about your cab door being opened. She was a very happy girl!🎉
Ethan, you should get someone to pressure wash your camper, it will look like new then and make everything look a lot better. You might want to put some more seal on your seals and places where water can get in. As long as you don't get water in the first place, it should be ok but if you don't put that seal stuff on it, water will get in and it will always have leaks. That stuff looks pretty dry and brittle so you want to reseal everything. If you do that you'll have that camper a long time! Best to you brother!
"Ethan and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." I related to you so much in this video. That feeling in your stomach when you realized the hatch was locked 😰 One of my greatest fears is that Sammy (my blind cat) will accidentally lock the van when I'm outside as she's wandering around inside. And I cannot count how many times I've misplaced my keys, wasting so much time searching for them. Ugh. I just so enjoy you and your travel logs. You amaze me. Do you ever get lonely (don’t misunderstand me lol) or are you a happy loner. You are so independent and nothing stops you. So impressed.
Most vehicles since the late 90's have a BCM (body control module) that automatically turns off things like exterior and interior lights after a certain time has elapsed. Try leaving a door open for ten minutes and see what happens. Great video!

Get some gorilla glue for your cabinet. When you put the screws in, put a little bit of gorilla glue on them and screw them in and then make sure that it's held in place for at least 24 hours and you will never have to do that again
Ethan, I hope you can make it to Jerome, Arizona. It is a historic mining town high on the mountain and not far from Lake Pleasant. The views are awesome and if you have the ability to drive up to the Jerome Grand Hotel (narrow road that requires campers to drive on the sidewalk) we will find a semi-level place for you to park and can provide you and Peaches with a room to fully clean up in. Just call the hotel and ask for Larry with ETA, etc. You can use the hotel UTV to explore as the camper is much too big for many roads. This is the slow season and best time to visit Jerome.
I'm not far from Lake Pleasant. I went to Jerome a few years ago and and it's like a trip back in time. There's a real good hamburger spot up there to.
How to fix your cabinet: 1. Remove Door 2. Drill 1/8" holes where screw holes are 3. Glue in 1/8" wood dowels so they are flush with the hinge surface, let dry 4. Position hinge over installation area, drill SMALLER pilot holes than screw size 5. Screw hinge back onto door.
solution for those screws that keep coming out? Golf tees (stick them in the holes with glue then break off the tops) and elmers glue to fill the holes up so the screws have something to hold onto
Ethan, if you look up nylon coated tie wire and buy 1 roll (it won't rust away). I use it to tie a spare key under every car I've ever owned. Just pick any spot under your truck (way up under the frame). Only you will know it's there.
On being not social---I worked in a large testing lab. One lab was separate from the others. It required someone who could work by themselves for 8 hours. Most people assigned there asked for immediate transfer. The lab ran 24 hours a day. Finally, they found three people who could handle the isolation. Three Scandinavians. Loose cabinet hinge screws; I have had 100% success with taking the cotton off QTips and dripping superglue onto the cotton and stuffing the cotton into the hole. Screws grab this like the original wood.

Is cabinet repair tip. Take the door all the way off, Dip toothpicks in wood glue and shove them in the screw holes. Leave them sticking out and let them dry. After they dry, cut them off clean to the surface. And re attach the door.
You can buy a manetic key holder. Put an extra key in it and attach the magnetic key holder on the underside of a fender. Next time you get locked out, just retrieve your extra key from the fender underside.
With your cabinet door breaking all the time I fixed you can try is pick yourself up some wood glue and take some toothpicks. Cover them in wood glue then shove them inside of the holes where the screws go and break them off then shove the broken off piece inside the whole alongside the q-tip that's already inside of the hole then screw in your screws and let dry before using the cabinet door too much should only take about 2 hours before it's dry and overnight before it's cured

Ethan, when my RV I got one of those lockable containers that you hide with a set of keys. Not the cheap magnetic ones but one that you bolt to the frame, or someone under the truck. It has a combo on it. Never worry if you lock yourself out again because you have a backup outside
Losing your keys is something all of us experience. But given your circumstances, being in remote areas. You need to start paying closer attention to these little things. Your wallet, your phone, your keys should have priority places, and immediate return respond policies. I learned very quickly driving Truck, that a thirty mile round trip, to get something left in a truck stop is very uncomfortable. So I focus all my mental energies on where I keep them.
I lost my truck and house keys last winter. I knew they were in my back yard as I was only outside for 15 minutes but gave up looking for them. In the spring when the snow melted there they were! Merry Christmas.🎄
I don't always find the stories/videos fun or interesting, but I am completely in love with your voice. Your voice is so warm, soft and soothing. Beautiful, but your appearance is not bad either, on the contrary, especially the eyes. You've probably heard that before.
The mind is an amazing thing, you never really forget anything. Try this, next time you forget something, take a deep breath, make your mind blank, start walking around, keep your thoughts blank, you will end up standing right where you left item. Take a flashlight with you, your eyes will go past items until you 3 dimension it with a bright light. And lastly do this all the time, for glasses, keys, wallet, phone, when you put the item down, anytime, touch it , especially if you are doing something distracting, like telling the dog not to do something, talking on phone. Anything worrisome. That is the division point. This is a practice skill, realize you are in the forget zone, touch , touch touch. It will build you a map. My Aikido sensei taught me this, he , and my mom were tired of finding my stuff, WHERE ARE MY SOCKS?
Arizona is a very unique and beautiful state. I always enjoy spending time around the Superstition mountains🏜 Arizona is a great place to be in the winter, but if you can't take the heat of the summer, get out of the fire and head up to Payson or Flagstaff, or head to Los Angeles and spend some time at the beach🏖 Best Wishes to you Ethan, I hope that you find your keys, we have all been there at some point, I'm glad to see that you are doing alright. Have a Merry Christmas Ethan🎅
Ethan, just another day on the road. Things happen. You'll find the keys they'll be somewhere. There are about 50 different rv keys used by manufacturers.vDont show your phone, it shows where you're at. If you head towards Flagstaff hit up the Lake Mary area, and Dirt Devil near Williams are awesome camping areas. Schoolieplooza is January 19-31, yould have a blast there, all like minded people. Near Quartzite by the way. It's been cold lately here in Arizona, but the southern areas are still warm. Get that diesel heater!. Best of luck.

How do you just make a video going through your own life and just make someone feel, even just ever so slightly, better about theirs? I dunno. Some quality content creating or radiating aura...something. But thank you, I needed that. Merry Christmas Ethan, and Happy New Year! Thanks for being who you are.
I wonder if you looked on the roof or on the floor of the truck. I lost a $20 bill once, and looked everywhere for it. When I sold the car I took it to the car wash to deep clean it and found the 20 inside the track of the seat. You never know. Great video, Have a safe and happy holiday with Peaches.
I’m going to suggest duct taping a spare key to the inside of the flap to fill up your gas tank, as well as the one you currently have inside the van, and that way you are good to go if locked out or lose your key
My biggest fear!! I always take my keys with me....at least you responded easier than I would! Thank God for unlocked windows...that saved you! Cheers!
I do that shit all the time. Heres what gelps me. 1, put a wall stick up hook inside near eack entrannce to set your keys . Thats going to be where you Always put them. Except the ungition, if course. Since i live in an apartment...i keer my car keys separate from my apartment keys so if i lise ine if them, uts not a total loss. Good luck. Id make more suggestions but not in this forum.
Great video as always Ethan. In this video I learnt that you’re resourceful in a crisis and not really a morning person 🤣. Merry Christmas Ethan 🌲. I hope you have a peaceful and wonderful time over the festive season ❤️
I a had a funny incident with my keys. I was in the middle of nowhere on my work van. And when it was time to go home, - I was not able to find van keys. and they were pretty heavy, - lots of other things attached as well. I literally took out almost everything out of my van outside. went across everything at least 5 times and were not able to find. Then I sat and started thinking what I was doing and where possibly could my keys ago. And then I realized, - they probably fell out of my back pocket into the bucket with pulling string. There is a hole in the middle of the bucket. Since string still was there, - I didn't hear how they fell. Was happy as never before.
You need something like a dashcam atleast for the cab that runs all the time. Possibly one around the camper. And definitely some kind of weapon. You may not think you really need it until you do.

Be safe and keep on having fun.
I like instant coffee because it is instant and unlike brewed, you will always get exactly what you expect.
Be safe and I hope you got your keys quickly!
I lost my truck and house keys last winter. I knew they were in my back yard as I was only outside for 15 minutes but gave up looking for them. In the spring when the snow melted there they were! Merry Christmas.🎄
I want to add my admiration and ability to figure out the many challenges you have been faced and handled.😅
I don't always find the stories/videos fun or interesting, but I am completely in love with your voice. Your voice is so warm, soft and soothing. Beautiful, but your appearance is not bad either, on the contrary, especially the eyes. You've probably heard that before.
There are days like that.
Cool vlog! Beautiful campsites. Good thing you didn’t lock yourself out permanently. Peaches is so cute
Did you check your truck bed? Maybe the keys fell out under the camper. There's got to be gaps in the bed you might need a flashlight.
Arizona is a very unique and beautiful state. I always enjoy spending time around the Superstition mountains🏜
Arizona is a great place to be in the winter, but if you can't take the heat of the summer, get out of the fire and head up to Payson or Flagstaff, or head to Los Angeles and spend some time at the beach🏖
Best Wishes to you Ethan, I hope that you find your keys, we have all been there at some point, I'm glad to see that you are doing alright.
Have a Merry Christmas Ethan🎅
Can't wait to hear where you found those keys! Merry Christmas!
Those Darn Skinwalkers must be checking you out while you sleep... opening doors, hiding keys.. :)
oh dear.... you everything happens to you! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Ethan & Peaches! 🎄🎅🎄
You are a very interesting person Ethan. Being with you, life would never be dull. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas❣
You are very cool under pressure.
I felt so bad for you when you lost your keys 😢
Ethan, just another day on the road. Things happen. You'll find the keys they'll be somewhere. There are about 50 different rv keys used by manufacturers.vDont show your phone, it shows where you're at. If you head towards Flagstaff hit up the Lake Mary area, and Dirt Devil near Williams are awesome camping areas. Schoolieplooza is January 19-31, yould have a blast there, all like minded people. Near Quartzite by the way. It's been cold lately here in Arizona, but the southern areas are still warm. Get that diesel heater!. Best of luck.
Merry Christmas Ethan! Hope you find your keys ... you need to start using routines ... put your keys, phone, etc the same place every time you are finished using. Stay safe and all the best for the New Year!😎
ethan u r actually very amazing, at first when i started watching, i thought this boy is not out doorsy enough, he will not make it , but i underestimated you , i,m glad i was wrong, nice going
Fijne Kerst en een Gelukkig Nieuwjaar!
That was Big Foot in the middle of the night. He often likes to cuddle, but he apparently changed his mind and left, forgetting to shut the driver's door behind him.
Oh no! I did hope for a happy ending. Thank you for your videos - are used to travel that part of the country and it was such a privilege
My biggest fear!! I always take my keys with me....at least you responded easier than I would! Thank God for unlocked windows...that saved you! Cheers!
Sorry to hear you had a rough time. Hope this year is better for the holidays!
Easy back doorfix, install inside latch!
Very interesting about the door to your truck being open. I can assure you that the world is full of the unexpected AND the paranormal. ❤
Thank you for sharing your journey
Ouch! Hope you find them, brother!!!
You are a great problem solver. In my experience when I lose my keys, it’s because I changed my pants or jacket, and forgot it did that.
You need something like a dashcam atleast for the cab that runs all the time. Possibly one around the camper. And definitely some kind of weapon. You may not think you really need it until you do.
Don't worry, Ethan, if you ever come to the UK you can stay with me, no discount, no payment! I hardly watch anything on-line but I fiind yours endearing.
