Rasam is the inspiration for mulligatawny soup, popular among the british. Secondly, what those hotel cooks made was 'kootu', not 'kuttu' (buckeheat)

LOL..... Madurai is the only city in India which had not undergone a name change in the last 2500+ years.. It's not just the Meenakshi temple.. You gotta know about it fair and square before exploring the place.. // img13.imageshack.us/img13/7049/maduraitownplanning.png .. A perfectly laid out city by any ancient standards.. :)

There nothing called 'typical South Indian food'. Being a host for a food show, you know that the very least.

LOL .... if sagarika had to do this show definitely she would have been selecting a mutton shop and an non-veg restaurant.

Had I not known that he lives in Bengaluru, I'd have thought he is a foreign born Indian.
Seriously Rohit man; stop behaving like a foreigner. Just tell the facts as it is without trying to sound all American... oh wait... Americans sound much better.

This host acting like a man who came from mars but he has to understand that camera, mic and little poor English are not enough to explore south Indian culture.
