- I got extremely lucky coming across these 1999-2001 Ford Mustang Cobra OEM "Amber Taillights!" These are probably the "Rarest" Modification you can do to any 1999-2004 Mustang GT because of their appearance compared to the factory red ones. Were they WORTH IT though? You tell me!

I think you should sell those ambers. Make a profit and tint or get tinted tailights. Love that cobra though man! 🤘

I highly highly recommend to seal the headlights. They will hold moisture If not. All aftermarket eventually have this issue. Also to keep the lens long lasting I would ceramic coat the lens.

Looks fire🔥🔥🔥I also like the 13-14 look tails for the new edges as well. They make it look very modern in my opinion. Also the sequential S550 style for the New Edges looks great too.

The sequential s550 “euro” lights would look awesome on that. Just have to paint/tint the chrome bottoms.

I personally like the new headlights more. I dunno what it is, but I’m not a big amber person. The taillights are sick and all, but every time I see amber I just see construction/big trucks.

I've never owned a new edge, but the chrome marker headlights always look better than the orange marker headlights. Make sure you use some sealer on them for sure. I prefer the newer aftermarket tailight options.
The headlights look awesome on black and white cars, ambers look great as well. Beautiful Cobra!

@@DerekBaranProductions most ppl and companies have ran from ambers to modernize the look of cars. the ome thing that made the look of the terminator in the rear was the exhaust for irs bumper and tail lights. Ambers remimd me of the base versions of cars where they put ambers or orange reflectors in places tbey shouldnt to be cheap. 1990s wants their tails back lol

Amber tails are just not my style, I think it throws a "something's off" in there. You'll see clear side marker headlights on new edges and then amber tails and it just seems off balance to me. People shell out so hard for them, I've never understood it haha. Nonetheless, sick Cobra man.
I only like the ambers on white cars. Even then, I still prefer tinted or red.
I like the clear fronts but the amber rears need to actually work to be legit. I like the red rears better.

First part of the video you had the Bassani exhaust on and at the end, 20:50, you have the Borla exhaust. I can tell cause I have the exact same Bassani tips, which aren't rolled, and the Borla stingers have rolled tips.

Only just saw this after coming across the egg vandalism video. The amber rear lights look “normal” to me on a 4th gen update model because that’s all we got in Australia on the batch of TVE Mustangs converted to RHD by Tickford and sold here in ‘01-04.
Personally, I think they would have looked nicer if the whole lower light strip was clear (like the reverse light) with just an amber bulb for the indicator, like many Aussie Fords (and Holdens) had. Our local base models tended to have amber indicators, and upper models were clear with amber bulbs.
It’s a shame those clear headlights aren’t suitable for Australia (LHD vs RHD) as they look way better than the amber headlights we got. Hard to believe they’re now 20 years old! Feels like they were new cars only recently.

I never got the obsession with the amber tails, usually we want to get rid of the amber lights but somehow the exclusiveness makes them desirable.
I’d say sell ambers. Use new headlights. And put that profit to some more goodies

They are highly sought after tails because the AMBER lens was only on the exported/ foreign destination sold models. That's why they are rare and you don't see them. They had these for prior models as well, which are equally as expensive..lol I wouldn't say they look any better, but it is a novel touch of style for those with the deep pockets and a yearning for standing apart from the crowd. So kudos to you, my man. 😊😄👏👍

Hey install the LED switchback lights. Corners light up very close to 6k, and buy matching 6k headlights. Blinkers light up orange then switchback to clearish

I think the amber taillights look great, but would be even better if amber turn signals were wired up. I would suggest LED bulbs for the headlights also to give it a nice, white look!

Get the black housing amber headlights off amazon. The amber is alot more orange than stock looks way better. You do have to silicone the insides as they do leak. Ambers taillights will look great with front amber headlights off amazon. I tried the clear front headlights and I feel they look better on other colors but amber pops on black cars.

The the whole Rap thing though it's not you and sure you can beat anyone at karaoke but don't let your friends make you out to look bad I been a fan of hip hop and rap since the 80's and you just don't have the voice for it. Defiantly go with the clear corner head lights with the amber tail lights but defiantly recommend doing a light tint on the tail lights and swapping out the third brake light and them side markers as well no to mention them fogs

You don't need to lower it just add the lower skirts like gavin did from itsjusta6 he installed some on his 03 cobra giveaway car and it looked lower and sleeker.
I pay for mine $580 with harness on eBay in 2018 damm prices when up In a few years I’m glad I got them for cheap
SWITCH BACK LED FOR THE CLEAR CORNERS FOR THE FRONT, make sure you get the 50watt resisters for the front at Oreillys or auto zone!

For the part where you say you need more low you should get the magic drift chin spoiler it will make it so much lower looking without having to slam it to the ground

Hey Derek I think it looks great I have the same headlights but with the Chrome inside and I have a Amber directional bulb that you can put in there that is Chrome when it's off, if you're interested. I believe Phillips makes it

This is what I say. I never understood the infatuation with the amber 99-01 cobra tails just because they didn't make alot of them doesn't automatically mean it's cool lol. They go for big money though for whatever reason. Not my style.

so i have a 2012 mustang and mine has the stock tail lights but on each tail light there’s an amber light instead of 2 white there’s an amber and a white but i’ve never seen any other ones ?

I have a 03 black mustang with chrome cobra rims, and I use those clear corner headlights as well. I think it complements the wheels perfectly. I personally still run the yellow turn signals to give it a little bit of an original look when I am turning or when the lights are on.

New headlights look way better without the amber. With the taillights I’m in the same boat as you, I don’t necessarily want them but if a set with the harness came across for $300 bucks, you’d be dumb to not buy them. You could easily get 4x as much as you paid for them
