I’m looking to get a 26 or 27.5… Trying to keep it around $500. Any recommendations for me? The Framed 26er looks okay, but idk. I’m 45, haven’t been in the loop for 25 years lol.
Haro downtown 26 looks solid for the price. I have been out of the loop a while too. I now have an NS frame and forks with Odyssey tb2 cranks and custom wheels. I'd say you'll be ok cruising on that budget but if you want to do any type of hopping and especially spinning, you'll need some nice parts

great edit man. Do you ever get toe overlap on these bigger wheeled bikes? My 26" bmx has really bad toe overlap
Thanks! Yep. It makes barspins a pain. Just have to tilt the foot back a bit. Looking into geometry of frames can help you choose one with more room. Downside is spins are harder with a longer frame

Sorry for the late reply. i'm 5'11" and cant ride a 20 comfortably. there are 6'4" guys who ride 20 but not for me. I ride parts from Black market bikes, NS bikes, and Atomlab bikes

you are amazing man.. that takes a lot of skill and muscle to make those 26 inch wheels do what you made them do.. but how many time did you have to true the wheels.. i mean that was pretty rough on the rear wheel..
Thanks! Back then i was low budget haha so i had to true pretty often. I kept having spokes stretch, Nipples strip, or the hole in the rim cracking.. Ive gone through a tonne of rims, a couple frames, a couple forks, and a couple cranks.. as for the wheels.. the biggest upgrade i made was switching to beefy nipples. I cant remember the brand.. but they require a special tool that only they sell. Ive never had a problem since!

No offense but 26" looks so dumb.... I don't get why they just don't buy a bmx bike which is made for this stuff
It has cruising ability and you look like an absolute badass with it. From rocking street spots to mobbing the streets with wheelies this bike is versatile and capable of a lot of things a bmx can't do.
