There is this special scent an taste from foods cooked on coal pot you can't get from cooking on gas. I love making this. I lived in Berekum for close to 11yrs and my grandma who taught me is also from Berekum. Proud Golden City bae❤️❤️
Not only in Ghana, this is our native soup one place in Rivers State called Khana; and l can see when l was told that Khana migrated from Ghana. This is a confirmation. You can also use vegetable leaf and cook it (uku) Is a nice soup; l'm missing it👍🖕
i ve never been tempted to eat green green and i am still not tempted to try it but e way she cooks is neat and skillful.she has e motherly aura and i am grateful she shared her home with us…i just hate snails especially e slime…that’s y i don’t like green green soup.
You can as well enjoy it without snails since u don't like it, try with mackerel, salmon, tuna, crabs and wele and it will taste delicious, you'll love it😊

I been following your videos about preparing African delicious dishes that make most of your follower mouth watery and tasting. I recommend you go around the country of Ghana so we see more African traditional meal too, there are many others dishes out there we want to know about in the various village of Ghana. Keep on the hard work of Mother land of Africa.
I enjoyed watching the cooking. Please can we speak more English so the programme will be followed up appropriately and be enjoyable. I loved the smells. Well done.
Am originally from Nigeria and my tribe never dire eat “green coco yam leaves”- but lovely to see that there are people who consumes this leaves. The coco yam leaves are thrown away in my tribe and only used to wrap stuffs after softening it with smoke from fire. Tatiana you are lovely lady-am proud of you.
There r two types of such leaves, one is cocoyam n the other is taro. Unfortunately ppl refer to the taro leaves as cocoyam leaves. What we Ghanaians eat eg for stews and soups is the Taro leaves (Kontomire). They r slightly different
@@maudoforiaffoh5518 I think what we eat is rather the cocoyam leaves. What we don't eat its leaves is the one that grows in swampy areas by itself without having to be planted, and is much larger in size than the cocoyam.
Hi I watch this video and laugh because make no mistake we are one. In my country Trinidad and Tobago we call those leaves dasheen bush leaves and our dish with it is callalloo only thing we put crab or pig tail and coconut milk, you must have a look at Trinidad and Tobago recipes on UA-cam and we love fry plantains I am proud to be African
Big blessings to you and your family friends nice documented video enjoy your videos they are wonderful you are so experience for such a young lady what can you not cook seems as though you can cook all of the native dishes such a nice country♥️👍🏽😌
That's one mountain of cassava and plantain!😅We have something similar in Nigeria call black soup but we use scent leaves,African basil and bitterleaf.l can't find those leaves here in England so l use basil and spinach instead. Why did you not use the blender for the cocoyam leaves and okro instead of hard labour?😅Ghana are very much Nigerian in a lot of ways, you eat eba, fufu, egusi, cassava, plantain, snails, scotch bonnet, okro, tomatoes, eggs, avocado, palm oil, tuo, beans and ofcourse Nigerian favorite export jollof rice...😅😂😊The food looks delicious.❤Come to England!Cheers.

Tati will kill us with food oooo. Aaaaaw, God bless u so much for what u are doing ok. That’s my hometown, Berekum. I will definitely visit u one day when I come to Ghana again. Greetings to the family!
I personally would want my own bowl or plate to eat my food. I don't eat or drink from other people. I don't eat snail (or many meats like pork or steak), but I would like to try it with chicken or shrimp or without meat. I like plaintains (but ripe), and I think I'd like cassava because I tried cassava chips from a market. I do not like onions a lot, but sometimes I eat it in Thai soup with coconut milk. I never tried okra as far as I know, but I'd like to try more fruits and vegetables of the world. God has created so much variety.
