I bought a slc3 and built it with 105 mechanical and elite 50d wheels. In a size s, it weighs at 7.34kg with assioma duo pedals. Your videos really helped me to choose this model and I'm very happy with it. Thanks a lot.
I have recently purchased the Winspace Agile, which is also great. Found out about the brand from your channel. Thanks for the recommendation! Keep up the great videos. Cheers
Thanks, I’m considering the SLC 3. You answered all the questions I didn’t know I had. I switch between three bikes so my T1550 hasn’t experienced bearing issues. I have the black color way. It’s very classy (throw back ish) with the brown saddle. I’ll send you a pic if you left another contact. My goal is to retire my 2012 BMC Streetracer for a modern lightweight climber.
I love the SLC3 - im 77kg so feels like im kind of at the top end of what this bike might want to handle in terms of the handling for the bike but its great and i love it
Hello, is it possible to attach a win space slk 3.0 bike to the smart trainer? The rear wheel of the bike is mounted on a non-through axle, and the smart trainer is mounted on a through axle. Are there any adapters to install the bike on the smart trainer?
Hey- which trainer do you have? My smart trainer works the same way as a normal wheel/cassette so I can mount it and use the through-axel to attach to the bike/trainer. If you have a quick release trainer then you will need the adaptors for the 12mm through axels and it should attach normally
I have an extra 5m spacer on one than the other. They are easy to compare because they put you in different positions, which is the comparison. I could as 10mm to my stem on the SLC but I wouldn’t change the width. So what you are talking about here in terms of difference is perhaps 10mm stem length. Which is 1cm.
Yeah feels solid- and I’ve just got back from riding a Gran Fondo in Turkey with pretty terrible roads in places. Lots of hops over speed bumps and pot holes and it was great. Make sure the bung and top Cap are torqued to spec and it feels good but it’s not an aero bike with a deep head tube and thick forks, so does come across a little soft
Hello, I am in France and there is not a lot of reviews on this frames. What do you think of this frames? Rigidity?responsiveness? Comfort? downhill stability? Geometry? Matte black paint isn't too messy? THANKS a lot. Eric
Hi Eric, which frame? The SLC 3? I absolutely love it. It’s by far my favourite bike to ride. Not having the same leg strength I used to have as a younger rider I like that it’s light, I like that it feels comfortable to ride. Yes the front fork isn’t as stiff as you might want on a racing bike but if I take everything into account, the styling, the comfort, the weight it’s hands down my favourite bike. If done a load of rides out in Mallorca on it that I have on my channel plus a race in Turkey. Also- I think we have a code for a 10% discount that might help with Black Friday too. “WattLife10”
I am 181cm and i ride a size large with a 95mm stem from Winspace. Which i think is about a 100mm stem normally. Its perfect for me and fits great. I run it with 1x 5mm spacer so if you want a longer reach you can drop a spacer out or go for a slightly longer stem.
I know you went for a large(530) frame suppose to be for people 179cm-186 , im 183 should be perfect but thr frame does look small did you also think this ?
Yes/ if anything with the SLC 3 riding a large frame I could have gone up to a XL but there was no way I could ride a M. I’m riding a L with a 95mm stem and the saddle sits perfectly in the middle of the clap, or if anything a little bit forward. Check your top tube length of your current bike
Mate, it’s common knowledge to run 24mm spindle (Shimano cranks) with PF86. If you know you’re a die hard SRAM guy, you should be riding a BB386evo frame.
I have ran BB86 DUB on my original T1500 with no issues and now am running BB86 DUB albeit a one piece BB on the T1550 1st gen no issues. IMO I think the premature bearing wear is overblown as long as the tolerances of the BB are good and from what I can tell Winspace does a bangup job on their press fits
Makes you wonder if the 1550 bb is misaligned somewhat. You shouldn't be wearing out the bb that quick. Unless you have been riding through rivers or doing a million miles😂
There’s better wheels out now than winspace. Farsports have just launched a wheelset that’s the same price but wider internal and external and a lot lighter. Magene are cheaper and better speced too
My friend has the aero version and he says it rides like a dream, better than his old Specialized Venge. You don't get compliments as high as that very often!
It really does ride like a dream and I’m trying to get them both up and running, so I can look at the Sat in the corner while it rained for the next 6 months before Spring 2025
Just purchased this SLC 3.0 from Winspace via their Christmas sale with bars for $1475 shipped. I think at sub $1500 with bars this is very much worth the price. I too have the same white T1550 1st gen as you and now face the decision of keeping the T1550 and building the SLC 3.0 up as well and having to explain to my wife why I need another bike or just transfering the Force D2 parts onto the SLC 3.0 and selling the T1550 frame. I have a pair of Elite Wheel Drive D50 silver decals on my Scott Foil and love them but also saw you running black Drives on the SLC 3.0 and the bike looking awesome, so I just ordered another pair of D50 but in black decals to do with my SLC 3.0 Superlight Black frame. So gun to the head if you had to keep one bike T1550 1st gen in white or the SLC 3.0 in all black like you have it? For context my other bike is a 2022 Scott Foil RC with Force D2, so I am leaning on selling the T1550 or keeping it as a backup frame considering I don't need two aero bikes
I absolutely love my SLC3 and it’s the bike I want to ride the most. I also know you might not great a huge amount of money for a T1550 frame so in fact it probably has more value as a built up bike that you get to ride and enjoy. Those black Elite drives on the SLC3 looked awesome and I’m going to be swapping them in on mine in Jan I think. 🤔
Just sold the T1550 1st gen sad to see it go but too much overlap with my 2022 Scott Foil RC. Just built up my SLC3 and with Force D2 and D1 power crankset and cassette and hitting 16.86lbs fully loading. Changing the crank arms and cassette to a Red one and I should be able to hit the 7.3kg or lower 16lb range. I think why mine weighs more is I run two cages, running tubeless, and running a pretty heavy SWORKS Mirror saddle. I haven’t gotten to ride it so to the weather and being sick but I am pretty pleased so far
Get a Winsapce Agile, best of both bikes, more aero, lighter and more Agiel, 7.1kg with a 53/36-11/34 Ultegra setup and 45/50 wheels, don't belive me, let's meed up for a ride ;)
@rgpeters I see more and more of the Winspace Agile popping up over on youtube. Recently there was one in the HJC social media videos and also in the ASSOS campaign. So it seems like it is getting into all the right places
I think you have to remember that within the cost of SEKA you get handlebars. Which would add $260-300 to the buying price. The SEKA Exceed that A LOT of saddle slip problems and apparently some soft top tubes. I’ve seen the Spear but haven’t had the chance to ride one but looks nice and also light weight. Would be interesting to ride for sure
I absolutely love smashing hills on the SLC- it is lighter and feels effortless. I raced on it this wkend (flat course) and it held up great but I was always making moves on the inclines. I’m going to drop a spacer out the stem to increase the reach a bit and drop me a littler lower onto the bars. If I could only have one… tough choice, but if I lived in the alps I’d go SLC 🫶🏻
Lots of differences- saddle and sealant being a few of them. Plus different cassettes and wheels, the seat posts and forks as well. So I think it’s quite easy to see where the difference could be
Well, when all youtubers advertise a frame- then it's time to move on to the next upstart brand, the cost of the marketing you see in the increased price of Winspace frames. Same with youtubers, when they start getting free stuff it's time to unsubscribe and move on to the next one. Even though they claim to be independent, they are not, only a full-blooded psychopath can be independent and at the same time receive gifts for several thousand $. It's simply how a normal person works and cannot be avoided, no matter how many UA-camrs claim otherwise, of course marketers know this, it's like the first thing you learn in business school.
@@thewattlife Yes, I went to business school and was probably one of the few people on the training course who actually read Philip Kotler's principles of marketing out of genuine interest and not just to pass the exam. I'm just so tired of hearing UA-camr after UA-camr say that a gift of several thousand $ (the value of the gift is actually secondary) wouldn't affect their judgment, as I said, it goes against most people's nature. The dynamic changes if it is a large UA-cam channel that can pick and choose between different "gift" sponsors, then it is instead the smaller company that feels seen and validated if the large UA-cam channel mentions their product.

Hi, for a 14yo guy (racer) what do you think would be better, SLC3 o T1550 gen.2?
Depends on the style of racing but personally I’d go for the SLC for any type of road racing event
Gen 2 1550 or Tavelo Arow. Love the look of the Arow a mix between the slc 3 and the 1550, aero with some classic lines as well
I’ve never seen one in person but I know a few people who own them (the Arow) and like them
how can you get a new bike and not adapt stem/handlebar to a different stack and reach??? Impossible to compare as your position is different!

My Token Ninja was running smooth after 2 years on my sadly gone Canyon Ultimate, strange you had so little mileage out of it
Were you running a DUB Sram spindle on it though?
@@thewattlife no, on Shimano
@fede1275 Yeah the spindle is narrower so you have bigger bearings which will last longer. Or so the science suggests… and my BB suggests
When riding down on higher speed did you noticed any potential shimmy/wobbling efect on SLC 3.0? TNX for answer.
Absolutely none no, you can just tell the front end is softer with lateral stiffness, so you’ll want to ride it with a firmer wheel (carbon spokes?
Try using my code on top of Black Friday if you decide to buy one
