They just boringly stay straight and true. I am in Austria/Tyrol and the rimbrake Wheels do not wear and DO stop me when I want. Tubeless configuration just works on all wheelsets too. The one piece stem and steerer I also use on all bikes is nothing much to report about, again just does it´s job. If there is anything to report it is the Agile. The T47 does sometime say "hello". What is a bit of a nuisance on that bike, is the front disc rubbing when out of the saddle. But everybody tells me thats "normal" on discbrake bikes....... why isn´t that ever talked about more? Easy and simple to get to Austria. The prices on their website are already including taxes and fees. So there is no surprise on the doorstep when delivered. Usually it takes about 3-4weeks to ship. Overall: Bikes are all on Shimano DA 9200 12 Speed. Nothing much to report there either. Rock solid bikes that weigh competitly dont creak, ride excelently and are "cheap" (about €6-8000). I always weigh with Assioma Pedals and the tools I take with me, also including the Garmin Edge, so about 7kg for the SLC, about 7,5kg for the T1550 and 7,8kg for the Agile....... so take off 100g for the Garmin, 250g for the Assiomas and about 280g for the Toolkit/Pump/Tubes... Winspace, Seka and (to a lesser degree) Tavelo are getting a little ahead of themselves with their current pricing. Canyon will sell you a bike for about the same price as one of these builds and LBS bikes with similar builds can be similarly priced when on sale (which is becoming frequently possible again). I think these newer Chinese bikes are pretty good, but I'm not sure they're compelling versus something like a TCR. Chinese wheels are still a very good bargain with excellent performance, but I;m not sure about the frames yet. If Winspace sold this at $1,200 I'd have a very different opinion.
I feel like it rarely makes sense to buy a frame in general. Groupsets are insane if you have to buy them at retail prices and there’s a good market for take-offs.

I know you talk about lack of local support. I think that is the way the world is going, everyone is going direct to consumer (like canyon and trek) and it will be LBS for service only.
Honest question. I have a problem with a niche part on a Winspace v a Trek/Giant. Do you think the support would be the same even if you purchased consumer direct from Trek/Giant? There is a product liability issue. Who would you be more likely to recover against? Take away the quality of the bikes. Let's assume they are both equal, could purchasing a product directly from China not pose unexpected issues for consumers, especially with more expensive items (2K frame)? Never any issues in all of the 9 builds that I had from MTB’s to TT bikes. However, with the increased cost of components and build, it was more cost effective to purchase complete bikes from Trek.
Appreciate David's balanced review style. A question coming to mind with these Chinese frames is how much a complete bike build costs, if one doesn't have the skills and tools to do it at home.
100% agree... giant, specialized an all the other established brands just have an "upfront-trust" factor which winspace doesnt have. same with the ltwoo wireless groupsets. why would i gamble 700€ when i can have an established brand wireless groupset for just 200 more?!? if an "unknown" brand wants me to gamble my hard earned cash on them be at least 50% off the established brands! resale value anyone?
I totally understand the trust issue but you're not comparing like for like. A brandname frame of such low weight is way more expensive. A complete TCR for around 2k must be the base model.
Also, resale value. So far used Chinese bikes are worth the price of their components other than the frame in used condition. A giant TCR will hold its value pretty well.
@@vongdong10 Exactly, and you're comparing it to an Advanced SL level of frame. If this same frameset was built OEM for a big brand they would pay 1k max to the manufacturer and sell it to the public for 4k.
The resale on these bikes will be just about nothing. Only reason these days to go with a big brand bike is for resale which regardless of brand is horrible right now.
DEFINITELY! Chinese Bikes are way more achievable in terms of price for normal people and definitely at par with the build quality of bigger named brands. Heck! Big named brands manufacture their frames in the Far East! 💯
I would love to know who else Winspace makes frames for. I don't doubt it's probably a decent frame. And they are probably able to provide a higher grade of carbon fiber for a lower price than western brands can. but at 193cm tall; I consider this frame too small for me. I really love that Cannondale, Canyon, Specialized, and so on have me well covered as a taller rider. But prices is always a factor and as such; these eastern brands are going to be hard to disregard.
Regarding shipping: i ordered during Black Friday 2023. I had wheels in 3days; the frame and bars in 7 calendar days. How would it take to find the GIANT in the exact size in your exact color and components? Maybe longer if it’s not in your LBS.
Wise to checkout the Winspace factory tour, these guys are not an ordinary brand, and should not be classed with the rest of the pack. They’ve invested hugely on R&D, hence the new pricing structure.
What a day ! Two (2) bomb drops... @Hambini: 9Velo, The best wheels on the market. And @SirArthur: Sram Red has taken the Crown. I couldn't agree more. Whats next? I can't wait to see James give Burt a proper bike fit.
Can't see myself ever buying a Chinese brand, no matter what. Yes, you can't buy a whole lot at all that either isn't manufactured in China or has sourced parts from China. But buying cheap from China will bite us all eventually, you'll see later if you don't understand now.
You most likely sitting and typing on a PC- Mac or iPhone made in China😅 When will people in the west realize that our greed and the hard work of the Chinese have turned the wheel in the direction of the east.
I think the actual bracket had come loose from the seat tube. To fix it could be a matter of simply tightening the bracket mounting bolts but if the nuts inside the seat tube are no longer bonded to the composite resin, that's potentially a more serious problem.
But they’re both Chinese. One from the People’s Republic of China and the other is from Republic of China which is the official name of the country. So what’s the comparison? It would have made a lot more sense to compare a wholly European or American made bike with one or both of these. As it stands you’re only making a comparison between a recent Chinese brand and a longer established one.
put the pedals on for weight FFS. Still going down the same route as well established brands. The cable routing through the headset is a NO from me. impossible to do at home and to expensive at the shop.
Yeah, I too find it slightly annoying when they tell you the weight of the bike excluding pedals but all you got to do is add 260 grams, the weight of a set of 105 pedals, to the figure they give you and you've got a pretty good idea of the all-up weight. Cable routing is not impossible to do at home, I know because I've done it. A cable routing kit helps. Granted routing mechanical brake and gear cables is harder than routing hydraulic hoses and di2 wires.
"External seat clamp"... I wish Giant and many others realized the difference this makes... I will never ever (again) buy a bike with an integrated seat clamp. So few pros (if any) and so many cons... Kudos for Winspace just for this detail. Though I am not a fan of the Chinese "copy-paste" brands.
Its expensive because they might be sold outside china, outsourced. If someone from Europe or elsewhere will sell for Winspace, it will become expensive.
If Giant would up their game and make a TCR to match the quality of Winspace then maybe I would consider a TCR. Winspace wins in both quality and price. BTW, please update this video with your actual findings of the front derailleur issue. I can’t imagine sending back a frame for a little loctite… if that’s the case.
Schwinn and Raleigh led the way to Asian mass-production half a century ago, so no, nothing unusual about bikes from China, another Asian nation long producing bikes for export, now high-performance ones, too.
It's easy to produce and sell something cheaply when you didn't come up with the initial idea, when you didn't invest any money in development and testing and just copied and stole the design of the final product.
That bike is rubbish it's made in China no different than the junk made in Taiwan you can find a really nice Italian road bike with campy bike for less than what those new Chinese ones cost I paid $600 for my Bridgestone with all campy and it's made in Japan with quality
I appreciate the thought behind your comment and while I want to agree, you simply can't avoid it. Like the other guy mentioned, many of the other big brands are assembled in China and Taiwan also. Do you own a smartphone? Probably manufactured and assembled in China. Apple has literally admitted to using Chinese child labor in China. The majority of big brands in America unfortunately use China. It's the American way.

Appreciate David's balanced review style. A question coming to mind with these Chinese frames is how much a complete bike build costs, if one doesn't have the skills and tools to do it at home.
Still too expensive for a chinese frameset imo. You can literally buy a whole new giant tcr for a couple hundred more when they're on sale.
@gaborozorai3714 it's a 2024 advanced 2 pro compact that has 105 12sp mechanical. That is dirt cheap.
What’s the best you’re wearing Dave?
Thanks for the honest review, good job as always 🫡
On the bike? That's a Castelli Fly Vest. Nice bit of extra warmth for some of the chillier temps we've had recently bit.ly/3N8LPH7
DEFINITELY! Chinese Bikes are way more achievable in terms of price for normal people and definitely at par with the build quality of bigger named brands. Heck! Big named brands manufacture their frames in the Far East! 💯
Giant TCR Advanced Pro bebe!
If Winspace would add local dealers then prices would definitely go up.
its really hard to get a decent Ultegra build these days with carbon wheels for under $4500.
My slc is brilliant good quality and rides excellent
I’d be grateful if someone can share first hand experience with Hyper 3 50mm, thanks
Wise to checkout the Winspace factory tour, these guys are not an ordinary brand, and should not be classed with the rest of the pack. They’ve invested hugely on R&D, hence the new pricing structure.
i was looking forward to this but they dont make a rimbrake version anymore so i guess im going with the canyon ultimate cf slx 9.0
Did Giant’s name get mentioned more than Winspace’s ??
you can get a TCR with 105di2, carbon wheel (slr36) at usd2.8k (rrp 3.75k) when on sales.. may not light or fast or bling.. but is a proven product.
So was the bolt for front derailer mount just loose
What a day ! Two (2) bomb drops... @Hambini: 9Velo, The best wheels on the market. And @SirArthur: Sram Red has taken the Crown. I couldn't agree more. Whats next? I can't wait to see James give Burt a proper bike fit.
Why not! 💪🏻Even the Pinarello frame also made in China 😂
Already hiding on Chinese carbon frameset. It's a lesser known brand called Thrust but I love it!
What bike would you say that is resembling? Cervelo s5 ?
Hi dev. can u review zrace rotor disc that like a Sram red 2024 rotor disc🙏🏻
How does this bike hold speed compared to the dogma f?
Difficult to justify at that price, given its no cheaper than a load of other well known stuff.
Not a good enough customer experience to ask for that much money.
I’ve never needed customer service for my frame, though.
Can't see myself ever buying a Chinese brand, no matter what. Yes, you can't buy a whole lot at all that either isn't manufactured in China or has sourced parts from China. But buying cheap from China will bite us all eventually, you'll see later if you don't understand now.
You are right but it is already too late, we are doomed.
You most likely sitting and typing on a PC- Mac or iPhone made in China😅 When will people in the west realize that our greed and the hard work of the Chinese have turned the wheel in the direction of the east.
Cool bike! Did I hear press fit?😮
Will stay on my Italian build condor steel frameset
Is there a Winspace equivalent to a Giant Defy?
Winspace haven't made an endurance frameset so far.
What's the max tires size in this frame?
32mm
I don't understand. You had a loose bolt and it couldn't be tightened.
Or was it that the mount was broken?
I think the actual bracket had come loose from the seat tube. To fix it could be a matter of simply tightening the bracket mounting bolts but if the nuts inside the seat tube are no longer bonded to the composite resin, that's potentially a more serious problem.
We're you washing your hats today 😂
Please, test the Twitter T8.
One might as well buy one, paint it and put their name on the downtube and have a higher resale value.
Anyone tried running mech shifting with an integrated cable bike like this?
running R8020 with Winspace T1550. All cables are integrated. Of course, no issues.
Are we ready for Chinese bikes? We mostly already ride them! Just with western branded stickers.
i m Chinese. To be honest, this is too expensive for me. TCR is a cheaper option for me
Does it hold it's speed? 😂 i think the FD mount is a rivnut thats popped into the frame. And this for sure is a problem..
There aren't many true European carbon bikes to compare to. Almost all European brand frames are made in China too!
the fact is the frames and wheels of most of the brands you know are made in China
Giant here!
What a redundant question to cover…
Why calling it downgrading a Chinese Bike? Does Giant produce their bikes in Europe?
put the pedals on for weight FFS. Still going down the same route as well established brands. The cable routing through the headset is a NO from me. impossible to do at home and to expensive at the shop.
So what pedals should they use when weighing the bike , light weight 190gram Looks Blades or 400g+ alloy flats or SPD's ?
Yeah, I too find it slightly annoying when they tell you the weight of the bike excluding pedals but all you got to do is add 260 grams, the weight of a set of 105 pedals, to the figure they give you and you've got a pretty good idea of the all-up weight. Cable routing is not impossible to do at home, I know because I've done it. A cable routing kit helps. Granted routing mechanical brake and gear cables is harder than routing hydraulic hoses and di2 wires.
Bikes are so expensive, fewer events in the USA now. No one wants to pay to play anymore.
Winspace make all their own frames and wheels and make them for other large brands too
Its expensive because they might be sold outside china, outsourced. If someone from Europe or elsewhere will sell for Winspace, it will become expensive.
Temu should make a bike…
If Giant would up their game and make a TCR to match the quality of Winspace then maybe I would consider a TCR. Winspace wins in both quality and price. BTW, please update this video with your actual findings of the front derailleur issue. I can’t imagine sending back a frame for a little loctite… if that’s the case.
The only reason a Giant TCR frame set is £2k is to make the complete builds look better value and give it some kudos.
The Chinese brands are slowly taking over as the major brand's are over priced and over rated
Do you own a Winspace or similar then or plan to buy one soon?
@@davidarthur have a cipollini which Chinese had checked out by a carbon company ride fine looks great
Good luck returning it to Ali if the frame eventually fails
They have uk dealers now
They have nothing to do with Ali express and make all their own frames and wheels. They also make them for western brands as well
Schwinn and Raleigh led the way to Asian mass-production half a century ago, so no, nothing unusual about bikes from China, another Asian nation long producing bikes for export, now high-performance ones, too.
Winspace is gaining popularity
Crazy expensive frame, you can get older brand new S-Works carbon frames for less
Maybe you should try SEKA spear
watch this space :)
We've already got Chinese bikes?????!!!!!!😂
It's easy to produce and sell something cheaply when you didn't come up with the initial idea, when you didn't invest any money in development and testing and just copied and stole the design of the final product.
Who came up with the "initial idea" and what "final product " have Winspace copied ?
Winspace have their own wind tunnel testing and make all their own frames and wheels, they also make them for other western brands
Merida tks
Ehhh no.
I would be terrified to fart whilst riding a Chinese bike in case it fell to pieces
That bike is rubbish it's made in China no different than the junk made in Taiwan you can find a really nice Italian road bike with campy bike for less than what those new Chinese ones cost I paid $600 for my Bridgestone with all campy and it's made in Japan with quality
I will never ever ride on CCP stuff.
You probably already are. Where is your frame made?
@@sarahtoustra7127Slovakia 😉
Sure - I love supporting countries that help the Russians out - no of course I wouldn't buy a Chinese bike - not ever
Where do you think all the Frames and bikes are made? China and Tawain
@@ravenmoto5948 Made in China ≠ Chinese owned company
I appreciate the thought behind your comment and while I want to agree, you simply can't avoid it. Like the other guy mentioned, many of the other big brands are assembled in China and Taiwan also. Do you own a smartphone? Probably manufactured and assembled in China. Apple has literally admitted to using Chinese child labor in China. The majority of big brands in America unfortunately use China. It's the American way.
@@ravenmoto5948Carefull with that ALL. My road bike frame is made in EU. Slovakia-more precisely. You getting it?
Covered thru-axle ends, for lack of a better word, are no problem for an indoor trainer (not for wahoo kickr at least).
What is a Kilo?
A general term for 1000. In this case 1000 grams.
