Another unsung hero of the NES catalogue, Zen: Intergalatic Ninja is a classic Konami title that really pushed the NES hard and ended up being one of the most fun platformers on the old 8-bit machine. If it had come out a couple of years earlier, Zen would have been a huge hit, no doubt.
While in the NES and Famicom they did Deadly Dick. There was even a Cheap Indiana Jones Copy, a Samurai game, some bloke called Bayou Billy, and even a King Quest game. (It was developed by Novotrade, though)
Some real dragon ball z bullshit with that health regain :). I Swear the late NES cycle games were really overlooked because of the SNES. All us kids moved on.
This game gave me nightmares....shutty controls, and never cleared even the first stage. The jumping parts are tough as hell when I played it 15 yrs ago
The instant I'd sniff out any media product having some sort of environmentalist message, which was really getting pushed heavy on us kids in the 90s, I'd write it off as QUITE lame. Alas, I missed out on this one.
@Nob the Knave Global warming is real. MAN-MADE global warming, however, isn't. Environmental issues were just a means to an end to scare people into giving them power.

Yeah i remembered it, Zen was the one of the best but hardest game of the NES.
I've never heard of this game till now. This is a true hidden gem! Thanks for the upload.
This game is very very cool. There is no for a 16 bit !!!? I dont know but it's a super game for NES. Thanks for this video!!!
Did Zen, in the end, literally take pollution down to zero?
Loved that game as a kid. Fun fact: on the stage oil you could take a fir extinguisher to boss that will do same massive damage on him.
for a nes game this looks really good
Wow. If I had known about this game when I was a kid, I would have lost my mind over how good it looked and how action packed it was!
Interesting how some later NES games really tried to emulate some 16-bit like effects, like the fake scaling here when the character jumps.
The music is so good. Classic NES
Wow this looks great. Never heard of this game, it seems pretty fun.
Fantastic game
Amazing gameplay, i enjoyed every moment
20:38
this boss fight always mesmerize me
12:00 that sound of music is so remembering me to my childhood age
My favourite stage in the game!!!!!
What a way to say Goodbye to the NES.
Extraño a Komani.
Oswald Epic Loquendero We all feel that way :)
Now all is Pachinko, PES, Bad Metal Gear and Bad Silent Hill games, and more PES.
While in the NES and Famicom they did Deadly Dick.

Oswald Epic Loquendero And Pro Evolution Soccer.
PES on the NES?
I know that Konami did Futbol/Soccer Games on the SNES, but not on the NES.
Did anybody use the pole throwing move? I did that all the time on the acid lady
I was also using it quite often against various enemies :D I think you could throw the oil enemies into the fire with it
I remember this game my childhood
I remember playing Zen at Blockbuster Video when I was a kid and it's awesome. 😀👍🎮
I still can't help but wonder how elaborate and thought through most of the NES games are .
Inshouldnhave played this as a teen.
Another nes hiddem gem
the graphics looks outstanding! almost like SNES
the first game I ever finished as a kid
Maybe the best NES game for me, after Low G Man and the Ninja Gaiden trilogy. ❤️
lo jugue y fue inolvidable y a la altura de un resident evil en aquel entonces, pocas veces te topabas con algo asi. nivel de dificultad 7,5
I'm so sorry the '90s are gone . I felt then it would be better in the future.
Now I despise my master's in CS .
More ambitious than most 16 bit games at the time
I like railways in general. Hence, it's not difficult to get which level was my favourite then.
22:34 final boss
17:50

Is there a pal version of this game?
never played that
How can knocking garbage into a furnace be its recycling? Am I missing anything?
Kinda reminds me of Ninja Gaiden by Tecmo
This game gave me nightmares....shutty controls, and never cleared even the first stage. The jumping parts are tough as hell when I played it 15 yrs ago
I downloaded this 2 days ago to play. It looks and sounds great...but the hit detection is HORRIBLE. And everything hits you.
i guess you 2 are just not for games or good at them, i was a kid when i finished this game, great game tho

May come off as a bit too preachy and heavy-handed with the environmentalism messages.
Vahan Nisanian Totally agreed, but it was the early 90s. What wasn't? Lol. At least it's not quite as blunt as Captain Planet!
Vahan Nisanian Capt Planet never had to deal with a guy who resorted to scorched earth policies, though.
@Nob the Knave Global warming is real.
MAN-MADE global warming, however, isn't. Environmental issues were just a means to an end to scare people into giving them power.
i think the idea is good. it's much more original than a guy beating up regular street criminals.
@ReverendSyn where's your Nobel prize?
play womp for nes!!!! plz
el Buen BASS Womp?
