@@Rocktalk101 she seen a post of mine and saved it. I love the colors and everything might put some different pickups in soon but for the money it’s a great guitar
I like D'Addario EXL110 XL Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - .010-.046 or Ernie ball .010-.046 both are great for playing metal if you are playing in standard tunings such as E , Eb, drop D or D. if you are wanting to go to some crazy drop tuning past that then you will probably need a heavier gauge but I would just get a digitech drop tune pedal and just keep your guitar tunes to standard E which is what I do. then I do not have to do a bunch of crazy guitar adjusting for different tuning I just use my Digi tech drop tune pedal and it works great. I play stuff in E, Eb, drop D and D and my pedal allows me to just keep all my guitars tunes to standard E. Just some food for thought and hope that helps.
well it is possible to install a floyd rose on most guitars but you would have to router out the space for one on the guitar and make several other mods to put one in it. if you have the skills you surly could but it you don't I would suggest getting a luthier to do it for you. Eddie Van Halen was the king of modding guitars you can find some of his old videos on youtube with him showing some o fthe thing she did to them one of which was adding floyd roses to his guitars.
It is one of there new budget friendly guitar's and is very similar the RG series The GRG stand for GIO RG which just basically means its a cheaper version of there standard RG series of guitars. Hope that helps explain it a little more.
As we all know, never buy a guitar without trying first. However, I fell in love with the design and colour and after reading loads of positive reviews, I deceded to go for it. It's a great looker, but you can really tell this is cheap Chinese trash. The neck was full of rough feeling knots and warped, constant fret buzz on the lower strings no matter how high you set the action (more than likely due to the warped neck). It had a horrible overtone harmonic coming from one of the middle strings. One of the frets was raised on the high E making it impossible to shred and the tone pot was crackly. Brand aside, it feels much cheaper than its cheap price tag. It is simply thrown together in a Chinese sweat shop with no quality control. I wouldn't even recommend this to a beginner. If only they did this colour scheme in their mid-high end range. It's now on its way back to the shop. Lesson learned; never take someone's word for it, always play a guitar before you buy.
thanks for your comment and I can only speak about the one that I got and I did not have any of those issues that you ran into mine was set up and played great right out of the box. I did change the set up after the video to my preferred set up on my guitars. As we all know as well some guitars slip through the quality control checks not sure how but they do. I bought 2 PRS guitars a few years ago and one was set up and played great right out of the box but the other one was all out of wack action way to high to the point you could see the curve in the neck it was totally unplayable out of the box but gave that one to my guitar tech and he had it all fixed up and set up in about 30min. No matter the brand of guitar out there it seem we run onto a few bad ones. Suck you had a bad experience with this guitar and I agree it is always better to get to hold play and feel and sound check a guitar before you buy it but sometimes that is not an option and you just have to go for it and hope for the best. I hope you ended up getting another guitar that you liked in the end.
Well now in April 5 the this sam's guitar.is 279.00 and that's in 2022 ..so these cheap Chinese made guitars go up in value .as everything else goes up so does everything else....so put that in your bong a smoke it ..

@@akmedullahazebashani9247 thanks for the comment and awsome and glad you have gotten back into playing. thanks for watching the channel as well.
Ibanez grgr131ex or ibanez grg131dx. Which one is better?
I can only speak to the one I own as I have not ever played the other one as for as mine goes it is a great guitar and I have had zero issues with it,
@@Rocktalk101 thank you so muchh
@@huriyeyldrm5548 you are welcome I hope the video helped you out.
@@Rocktalk101 this video really helped me a lot. Awesome!!
@@huriyeyldrm5548 awsome I am glad to hear that as it is why I make the videos in the first place just trying and hoping to help the next guy. Thanks again for watching.
I'm getting a gio next week, the one i want is only 178$ but looking at all the reviews i can find it seems alot rate this model especially if your like me who is a beginner, well kind of, I'm self taught but I'm getting to the time where i want to step up my playing, and what better muse to have than a new guitar.
well first I am a self taught guitar player myself and yes a new guitar will always inspire you to play more for sure hense why I own so many myself lol! The Ibanez line of Gio guitars are great guitar to start with and you really can't go wrong with them. I choose this model in the review because I am not a big fan of floyd rose style guitar's I like a stop tail on my guitars and this one feel sounds and plays great. I wish you the best of luck on your music journey.
Brother that guitar sounds really good. Any upgraded so far ? Thanks for the Vid.
thanks and no upgrades it is all stock that is what is so great about these guitars very budget friendly and they sound great and play great! thanks for watching.
I put a seymour duncan invader in it and i love it
awsome! and thanks for watching thce hannel.

awsome! and your daughter made a great choice.
@@Rocktalk101 she seen a post of mine and saved it. I love the colors and everything might put some different pickups in soon but for the money it’s a great guitar
@@miskogwan9228 awsome!
how are the tuners
holds tune great tuner's are fine at least on the one I got anyway.
@@Rocktalk101 thanks for answering
@@DirtyMikeTM Not a problem I try to respond to every ones comments as quick as I can.
I’m gonna buy it
In my opinion it is a great budget guitar SO I hope you enjoy it once you get it.
What strings should I put on this guitar, I want to play metal😅
@@Rocktalk101 thank you :)
Is it possible to install a floyd rose on it?
well it is possible to install a floyd rose on most guitars but you would have to router out the space for one on the guitar and make several other mods to put one in it. if you have the skills you surly could but it you don't I would suggest getting a luthier to do it for you. Eddie Van Halen was the king of modding guitars you can find some of his old videos on youtube with him showing some o fthe thing she did to them one of which was adding floyd roses to his guitars.
How much does it weigh?
not exactly sure but they are pretty light guitars for the most par way lighter then a les paul so probably in the 7 pound range.
@@Rocktalk101 Thanks.
121 or 131

I dont know this guitar or rg421ahm ???
It is one of there new budget friendly guitar's and is very similar the RG series The GRG stand for GIO RG which just basically means its a cheaper version of there standard RG series of guitars. Hope that helps explain it a little more.
@@Rocktalk101 nope but I will test them in shop
@@Icisex well that is the best way to do it for sure.
Well now in April 5 the this sam's guitar.is 279.00 and that's in 2022 ..so these cheap Chinese made guitars go up in value .as everything else goes up so does everything else....so put that in your bong a smoke it ..
yep just did a video about how all the guitars and music gear is going up and going to keep going up so get anythign you want now before you can't afford it anymore lol!
How is this 200 USD😭😭In my country it's $515
I can't tell you why that is all I know is what i payed for it new in the U.S.
what country do you live in?
@@Rocktalk101 I live in New Zealand, it's because $1 USD is worth $1.64 NZD. So anything sold in USD is about 1.5 times more
