Hello! We don't need professionnal experiences but we must provide a recommandation letter from a director we have worked with... I have never worked with a director. Does that mean I can't apply ? I think it's a shame, no chance for people that want to study before working
Hey Heather, we had a great phone conversation after you posted this comment, but for anyone reading this later top schools are actors with no professional experience all the time. With Yale specifically, there are some nuances but it’s worth discussing your personal situation. Feel free to email me anytime. Anthony@howtogetintodramaschool.com
That’s correct! Yale School of Drama is a graduate school. U need to have some kind of undergraduate degree, or at least 5 years out of high school. 🎭👍
@@johnrcolley thank you for your reply. Are there any other acting schools that accepts 12th graduates... or any other ways to get into a acting school?
Of course Violet! There are GREAT drama schools for students coming out of high school. Juilliard, where I went, is one of them. I can give you our list of top BFA programs you can look into. Why don't we hop on a quick 15min Zoom to discuss more about where you're at in the process? You can schedule a free consultation on our website - howtogetintodramaschool.com
That's a great question, LaShai. Most of the other top MFA acting programs require that you have a bachelors degree in order to apply. However, if you haven't yet earned your undergraduate degree, there are number of top BFA and BA acting programs that you can apply to. For example, Juilliard offers both a BFA and MFA in acting, and those students are within the same class. I'd be happy to chat with you further about your unique situation and goals, and offer my advice! Just shoot me an email here: john@howtogetintodramaschool.com ❤️👍
Great question, Talief! No, you do not have to have an undergraduate degree specifically from Yale college in order for the certificate to turn into an MFA. Any accredited 4 year undergraduate program is sufficient 👍👍 Are you planning to audition this coming year? I'd be happy to share more info about Yale. Just email me at john@howtogetintodramaschool.com 🎭
Please could you provide me any concern person email whom I discuss about financial aid of David Geffen School of drama as an international student. Maybe you can made a video on it if you feel free
Muhammad, the best people to talk to about financial aid at Yale is Yale, not us. We’re always happy to share our story and situation, but we do not speak for the school. Yale is available and willing to answer your questions if you email them or call them, so that’s what I recommend! If you would like support in preparing for your drama school auditions, email me and we can provide guidance. Anthony@howtogetintodramaschool.com
Of course! Schools want your unique voice, no doubt about it. I’d love to hear more about your story and I’m happy to lend my guidance. Email me - anthony@howtogetintodramaschool.com
