😂 yeah right ur joking no?.any way bro there is also an island 🌴 in Thailand there is a holy place where women’s buy those souvenirs of what u call hmm.. right same like this place amazing 😉
Thank you for being Bhutan and showing it to the world... the foods... god, cant help missing home. Plus, you are the first foreigner as per my opinion to always finish the ema datshi and ezay...
I’m a Bhutanese and even I can’t eat ema datsi like the way you do hahahaha and your guide should have taught you the right way to eat that pork dish 😅 we usually separate the fats from the hard part, eat the soft ones with the rice and the hard meat at last like a chewing gum 😅 loved all your videos. Love from Bhutan 🇧🇹
Hey mate, thankyou for visiting my country. I hope Bhutan is treating u well. Well, just wanted to recommend u to try fish curry Bhutanese style (sichuan pepper a must but take care of the fish bones) and Baathup aswell. Keep updating us, I miss home so much.
I presume the high consumption of fat(butter/cheese) in Bhutan is due to widespread availability plus probably helps with the weather conditions which must get extremely cold at times! Great vid!
Thats dried turnip leaves that you eat with pork. It is a delcioucy of North West Bhutan. Enjoy your stay. Do visit Village Restaurant at Babesa, Thimphu and Dorji Trozey at Zangto Pelri complex, Thimphu to taste authentic bhutanses dish. Those araent real bhutanese. Good luck ahead
It's hard to believe it's been three years and still no one has shared the recipe for "Totshe" from Bhutan. Traditionally, this risotto-style dish is made for breakfast using leftover curry and rice from dinner. The process is simple: add water, oil or butter, and a bit of salt to the leftover curry and bring it to a boil. Then, add the leftover rice and cook for a few minutes. In a non-traditional approach, you can combine all the veggies and rice, cook them together for a few minutes, then add water and let it cook until it reaches the consistency shown in David’s video.
My personal favorite curry for totshe is kewa datsi, which means potato and cheese. To make this dish, simply add sliced potatoes, onions, garlic, chilies, salt, some water, and plenty of cheese into a pot. Cook everything together until the potatoes are tender. I prefer it when the consistency is like a thick gravy.
Did Tsheten eat his meals with you only off-camera? And the joy of bringing a giant souvenir phallus through Customs at home or a transiting city like Singapore. LOL.
I was born in there, residening in Pittsburgh now but my everyday meal is with chilies and cheese, my Americans fellow friend love it when they are invited to my house for eating.
