hey, I'm from sg 🇸🇬 so just wanted to give some tips for those thinking of visiting!! 🤓
Language - Singapore is a Chinese majority country but English is our first language and most if not all of us can speak very good English. Many of us also speak a second language, usually Mandarin Chinese, Malay or Tamil. With regards to the bus driver, many of them are from China where English isn't their first language. The bus drivers can often get away with speaking in Mandarin to the older generation.
Food - Singapore is a food haven. We are a multi-racial and ethically diverse country that has no dearth of food options. Unless you are eating in a restaurant, food is reasonably priced and you can get meals for as low as $5 (SGD). Now onto veg options, you can ask for your dish to be tailored according to your dietary restrictions by asking the meat to be substituted for just veggies or tofu (we are very familiar with tofu because the Chinese cuisine has a variety of tofu dishes). Alternatively, Little India caters to the Indians in Singapore where you can easily get veg and non-veg options catered to the Indian palette. You can get a variety of North and South Indian dishes there (even paneer chilli 😅). Little India is also in the heart of town so commuting is not an issue. Another point to note, A LOT of eateries are open 24 hours. So, if you're too tired to find something to eat, you could just order something through Grab/Foodpanda.
Transportation - The best way to get around in Singapore is by MRT/bus. You could either get a Singapore Tourist Pass (STP), a special EZ-Link stored-value card which will allow you unlimited travel for up to 3 days. You can buy this at the Ticketing Office at the station itself. Alternatively, you can buy an EZ-Link card which cost $10 and come with a stored value of $5 for you to use. You can top them up at the ticketing machines whenever necessary. If the place is really inaccessible, you can either hail a taxi or book a ride through Grab or Gojek (you need to check which is cheaper when booking).
For Sakshi next time onwards carry ready to eat Indian veg meals like dal makhni with rice, pasta, poha, Upma etc, we do that only for vegetarians we carry ready to eat veg meals just in case there is just French fries to eat, so atlst they don’t remain hungry until you find good vegetarian food.

I went to Singapore in 2019 and I fell so sick 1 day, I literally wasted the entire day sleeping and recovering in my hotel room. Thankfully, I was staying near Mustafa centre and I easily arranged fever medicines there. But doctor fees at Singapore is next level crazy. I am glad you immediately went for medical assistance then as delaying it would have made matters worse. 😊

In Singapore, there is a pass available in any metro (train) station. This can be used for both buses and metro.

Sarah very nice vlog as always..just a suggestion..always take travel insurance while traveling outside India. Medical facilities are very very expensive outside India and it can go out of hand in such emergencies.
I had travel insurance but it didn’t cover this procedure

Dental floss or thin thread can help move the ring but again not a sure shot method.. ice compress will help. If 1-2 days trip then getting fixed in India would have been a good option as medical is expensive abroad..
You don’t have to cut it you can put a thread through the ring and then remove the ring and apply lot of cream on your finger it will slip out

After you exit from the Metro you can travel by bus, there will not be any additional charges as your credit will get transferred from the Metro travel

Coin tha ya card i don't really remember coz i was reallly young, shayad 8-9saal ki thi.. Dad got one for me nd the excited kid in me ran nd went through the gate.. Then I turn back nd saw mom n dad were still there checking out the map so i used my coin/card to go back through the gate nd go to them without knowing its a one time use thing! Papa was so annoyed ki paise gaye but it was so funny ki dono gusse hoke bhi hassne lage! 😂😂😂
