      "(...) “Don’t go out too deep! A Shark only needs 3 feet of water!” (...)"
      We, people, are not the usual food for sharks, so, luckily, sharks attack people very rarely. Over 90% of attacks are to surfers because the shape of a surfing board resembles a seal.

      @@vegasmitch1472 It look like sharks do not consider people as their food. On the other hand they attack people mostly in such cases:
      1. A man in water is woonded and bleeding;
      2. Shark is extremly hungry, exausted or with mental disorder;
      3. They attack surfers, when siluet of surfing board and surfer on it resembles a seal - their food.
      But often sharks prefer to keep away from people.

      You shouldn't swim away anyway. The movement of your legs through the water makes the shark (who is hard of sight) think you're and overgrown injured fish. The best thing to do is go as still as you can until it gets close enough to realize you aren't a snack. In the case of tigers and great whites, however, which will eat anything, wait till it gets close and then quickly flip it over. This will temporarily disorient the shark long enough for you to get away.

    If people really understood that when they go to the beach there are always gonna be sharks swimming nearby. Growing up on the coast and spending my life growing up on the beach I got to learn how to surf. That being said it would probably keep people out of the water if they knew how often sharks are very close by. They aren't hunting you, most of the time a case of mistaken identity. Don't go swimming at dusk or dawn that's when they are actively hunting for food. And just like anything in life always have a sense of awareness and know your surroundings.

    I didn't see any comments pointing out that this is probably not a TRUE tiger shark. I could be wrong, I'm not an expert, but most times when we see videos of tiger sharks, they are not a true tiger but one of the other variants. There are tiger sharks, which are HUGE like 18 ft long and 1000 pounds and also very aggressive in nature, and there are also much smaller tiger shark species like this one that are smaller and less aggressive. Please, shark experts clarify this for me if you can.

He's been known to come really close to shore and swim around the beach goers who haven't fleed out of the water while swimming through their legs. Docile as fuck. He's never approached by anyone and his boundaries are respected but he likes interacting...comes up to people, gets his attention and leaves.
    Awesome creatures that I love the absolute hell out of. Our ecosystem would be screwed without them but there's plenty of other reasons to protect them as well. We obv have attacks here like anywhere else in the world but there's more people being approached by them and being left alone than there are predatory behaviours being displayed.
