Like the Vessel you got after fighting the golden baby gave you fire immunity which is great againts the Black Bear. Second. The end story with the fox reflect what happened with the Yellow Rat. At first, he genuinely kind and good. To the point he was given a title as Sage and a shrine was made for him by the King. However, he is still A Yaoguai/Monster/Demon. And eventually his own nature caught up to him when he stumbled upon one of Wukong's Senses. He tricked his Master who is proud of him and stole his head. He even seems to be regretful too of his own actions judging by his words during the fight. You can compare the story with the Scorpion and the Frog story. Where while the Frog helped the Scorpion pass through a river, the Scorpion stung the Frog making them both drown. The "Tiger Vanguard" you fought in the sand realm was from an event that took place 500 years ago (during the time of "Journey to the West"). Just like when you fought the golden monk with the big head, these events are from the past. That's why the protagonist gets a headache and then gets teleported. 3. The Tiger Vanguard you encountered in the blood pool is the first son of the OG Tiger Vanguard from the sand realm, as seen in the memory. 4. The tiger father actually had a second son. These two brothers fought the Yellow Rat (the final boss of Chapter 2) when he came to claim the land again(we'll talk why I use again later). The brother lost the battle, and the older brother made a deal to serve the Yellow Rat and become the new Tiger Vanguard in order to save his little brother. He obviously wasn’t happy with how things turned out, but he couldn't change it, so he decided to take out his rage by eating as many rats as possible 5. To meet the Tiger Vanguard's younger brother, you'll need to go through the village and obtain a rattle toy from a mini-boss. After that, you'll need to visit three specific locations to trigger the encounter. It's a bit tricky to find everything, and the map is quite large, so you might need to Google it. 6. The rat king (that got eaten by a big ass rat) was so afraid of the Tiger Vanguard because he eats so many of them on a daily basis. The Rat king had 3 son: second son was in the 2v1 boss fight. If you kill the 2nd son, the rat king seak help for his first son but gets eaten. The Rat king family and the whole kingdom were all human before, but they got cursed for helping the Yellow Wind Guai and ended up becoming rats. 7. The true story is definitely NOT what Lingji Bodhisattva said in the end of Chapter 2. He sent the Yellow Wind Guai to there for a mission that secretly benefits himself and he's not being honest about it. The craziest part is it lowkey showed that the majority of the gaming community is autistic. Miyazaki himself stated that the summons are an integral part of the experience at large and the boss fights/boss summons especially. So people just basically handicap themselves for this madeup fandom of gods in which somehow by not using summons makes them better at life. Papa Vanguard fought Wukong and Bajie (the Pig), he was killed by Bajie. Papa Vanguard had two sons. After losing their father, the two tiger brothers were struggling just to get by. The older brother tiger was actually kind, and he took it upon himself to protect their mountain and actually helped humans by guiding lost travelers and eating bandits. The local people called the big tiger brother "Tiger God", this annoyed the younger brother, because he felt that the older brother stole all the thunders. When the yellow-furred rat (Yellow Wind Sage) cut off Lingji Buddha's head and came back, the Tiger brothers wanted to fight the rat initially. But the rat is too powerful, he badly injured the younger brother. Older tiger brother surrendered in order to save the younger brother. Yellow Wind Sage liked the older brother's abilities and made him the new Tiger Vanguard, which again, pissed off the younger brother. The younger tiger brother chose to hide in a dried-up well to lick his wound (a boss you missed). Also, an interesting fact: the real-life Lingji Buddha's sculpture is also headless. Its head is on display in the British museum, and let's just say....it's not a gift by the Chinese....

Afro. Anytime you find a secret that requires a special item it will have nothing to do with the story. The story is extremely linear you will always know what’s main story related. If you see something that for example required you to fight a new NPC like the boar, or use an item to unlock a new location it’s likely a side quest so just do it without worrying.
Everything has something to do with the story 😭 it’s their story they’re trying to tell, how can you say 100% that they have nothing to do with the story ? Literally every secret boss that has a cut scene is story related it’s just a secret that’s it.
(Btw I know this from experience because I’ve found two of the secret areas so far and they clearly have relevance to the plot weather it’s Past, Present, Or future it all comes back around
Pretty sure the secret here is part of the story As in JTTW Wukong couldn’t defeat the yellow sage as the wind was too strong so the wind timer acts as what helped Wukong in his story
A lil extra hint to the ending cut scene story: the story of Sun Wukong itself is a continuous rebellion against destined superior rules, against the "designed roles" of men and yaoguai.
For some dialogue, the secret path you did is you traveling to the past. The reward you get after will help you with the finale boss of each chapter. It will be a lot of it in the game

If I could clone myself I would do synchronized workouts, and run little experiments to see if I develop different because of the compound effect. I would probably require so much rest though…. 😂
There's a whole separate area with a very interesting side quest you're missing. I recommend going back and completing that, the side story is quite insightful and you'll actually end up appreciating the entire Chapter 2 area and the reason for the desolated setting more. Not to mention a very difficult optional boss and a nice gourd.

After defeating a boss or lesser enemy, before taking or absorbing the floating orbs, whenever you're low on health, be sure to use the gourd & heal yourself before taking the orbs. It will refill the gourd. Green & purple ones that say "take" will completely refill the gourd to 100% & the random green orbs you see when you're exploring will also refill, but will only refill by one sip. But if u can, look for those meditation spots around the area/map of the chapters since they'll help u get sparks too( go to journal, n meditation spots, shows how MANY is in the chapter). Oh, u should also upgrade that stamina branch since stamina conserving is the most important in these battles, as an elder ring player myself, but mostly dark souls n bloodborne pro. shadow clones really is his weakness people will say its windtamer but i popped my transformation and clones at the same time with max level clones and literally took him from 70% health to dead in one combo only took me about 5 tries until i realized that

Hi afro if you got back to the cave where you had the first big rat boss fight there's a wall u can smash with the big head ability and inside you'll find a item that allows you to go behind the waterfall in chapter 1
"If my clones could use freeze" they can. The final skill in the strand tree. Also the secret items in the secret areas give you an advantage against the story bosses phase 2. In this one for example, if you use it when he summons the tornados you cancel out all the wind. The next big item like this is in chapter 4. Remember this for later...
VERY good!! It took me an hour to beat him lol I didn’t use the shadow clones because I wanted the immobilization, and stuck with cloud step. The sandstorm definitely ruined it for me a few times.
Afro there is a secret boss in chapter 2 called the mad tiger you need the little rattle drum in your inventory and go to 3 locations and use it on the last location in the starting area you jump down a well and you can fight the hidden boss if you need help you could always look it up

Idk why but itI'm pre sure this is a time rift. In the lore journal after you beat him it's presumed that this is the dad of the first tiger vanguard. After this older vanguard held off wukong and was killed by him the yellow wind sage (previously the yellow wind king rat) fled and came back after a hundred years. The younger brother blamed the wind sage for his dad's death and his older brother loses to the sage as well, becoming an underling to him. The younger tiger out of rebellion sided with the rats of sandgate village and offered protection as long as there's some rats to feed himself which is why you see rat corpses and the blood pool when you fight him.
Its actually that tiger’s father. If you read their bios, it mentions that his father was the previous tiger vanguard before being killed by Wukong during the journey. He also says “I have two little cubs waiting for me”.

Afro, the items you get from the secret area help you with the boss. Like in act one you got the fire mantle in act 1. In act 2 you got the Bell, that would have cancelled the wind/tornado out. But clearly you didn’t need it lol.
By the way, in the 1v2 boss fight, if you killed the rat king(the rat father) first and then the son, you'll get a piece of the father's flesh and a spirit of the raged son. The flesh is later used to summon his first son(the huge rat). So, by killing the second son first, you'll miss a spirit in exchange for a cut scene.

But the monkey was mischievous, and ran off after being unhappy with his new master. After he ran off, another immortal came and gifted the monk a magical golden headband, and gave instructions on how to use it. The monk tricked SunWuKong into putting on the headband, which caused immense pain when a certain magical poem was read. After that SunWuKong obeyed his master and protected him with two other apprentices, a humanoid pig and a blue-skinned-read-haired-humanoid. After they made the journey after 9 long years, SunWuKong was made a Immortal. But SunWuKong found the rules of being a Immortal cumbersome, so he returned to his birthplace to live in peace. And that is where the game begins. (Note: The Monk wasn't a bad guy for forcing SunWuKong to obey him, what I explained has highly oversimplified. Also, The last two sentences about SunWuKong returning to his mountain is made up, not originally in the story. Although it is highly believable.)

I don't know whose is this for, because the game has already explained 80% of the lore. So, there are some missing info that would clear up some confusion:
Yes, you did go to the past and helped the yellow-furred rat to beat the giant beetle. In the past, you encountered the OG Tiger Vanguard. This Tiger Vanguard was actually the father of the "blood-pool" tiger. Papa Vanguard worked for the yellow-furred rat, and he was the one who kidnapped Tang San-zang in the Journey to the West novel. Papa Vanguard fought Wukong and Bajie (the Pig), he was killed by Bajie. Papa Vanguard had two sons. After losing their father, the two tiger brothers were struggling just to get by. The older brother tiger was actually kind, and he took it upon himself to protect their mountain and actually helped humans by guiding lost travelers and eating bandits. The local people called the big tiger brother "Tiger God", this annoyed the younger brother, because he felt that the older brother stole all the thunders. When the yellow-furred rat (Yellow Wind Sage) cut off Lingji Buddha's head and came back, the Tiger brothers wanted to fight the rat initially. But the rat is too powerful, he badly injured the younger brother. Older tiger brother surrendered in order to save the younger brother. Yellow Wind Sage liked the older brother's abilities and made him the new Tiger Vanguard, which again, pissed off the younger brother. The younger tiger brother chose to hide in a dried-up well to lick his wound (a boss you missed).
Also, an interesting fact: the real-life Lingji Buddha's sculpture is also headless. Its head is on display in the British museum, and let's just say....it's not a gift by the Chinese....

Afro. Anytime you find a secret that requires a special item it will have nothing to do with the story. The story is extremely linear you will always know what’s main story related. If you see something that for example required you to fight a new NPC like the boar, or use an item to unlock a new location it’s likely a side quest so just do it without worrying.
Everything has something to do with the story 😭 it’s their story they’re trying to tell, how can you say 100% that they have nothing to do with the story ? Literally every secret boss that has a cut scene is story related it’s just a secret that’s it.
(Btw I know this from experience because I’ve found two of the secret areas so far and they clearly have relevance to the plot weather it’s Past, Present, Or future it all comes back around

A lil extra hint to the ending cut scene story: the story of Sun Wukong itself is a continuous rebellion against destined superior rules, against the "designed roles" of men and yaoguai.
For some dialogue, the secret path you did is you traveling to the past. The reward you get after will help you with the finale boss of each chapter. It will be a lot of it in the game

There's a whole separate area with a very interesting side quest you're missing. I recommend going back and completing that, the side story is quite insightful and you'll actually end up appreciating the entire Chapter 2 area and the reason for the desolated setting more. Not to mention a very difficult optional boss and a nice gourd.
Of course Afro doesn't read what the wind tamer vessel does and then proceeds to not use it in the boss fight.

Hey Afro, just wanted to tell you in case you don't know. After defeating a boss or lesser enemy, before taking or absorbing the floating orbs, whenever you're low on health, be sure to use the gourd & heal yourself before taking the orbs. It will refill the gourd. Green & purple ones that say "take" will completely refill the gourd to 100% & the random green orbs you see when you're exploring will also refill, but will only refill by one sip. So do keep this info in mind when you need the health, it comes in handy 🙏🏾 love the bids by the way, always entertaining to watch you play. Much love bro ✊🏾👊🏾

YES SIRRRRR, U WENT WITH THE SAME ROCK SOLID STRATEGY I DID🔥🔥🔥, but now, I think it's time for u to improve ur staff abilities, till u get that 4th bar or focused on now, cuz THAT will do hella damage n it would especially have helped u with that last boss to. But if u can, look for those meditation spots around the area/map of the chapters since they'll help u get sparks too( go to journal, n meditation spots, shows how MANY is in the chapter). Oh, u should also upgrade that stamina branch since stamina conserving is the most important in these battles, as an elder ring player myself, but mostly dark souls n bloodborne pro. shadow clones really is his weakness people will say its windtamer but i popped my transformation and clones at the same time with max level clones and literally took him from 70% health to dead in one combo only took me about 5 tries until i realized that

Afro there is a secret boss in chapter 2 called the mad tiger you need the little rattle drum in your inventory and go to 3 locations and use it on the last location in the starting area you jump down a well and you can fight the hidden boss if you need help you could always look it up

Idk why but itI'm pre sure this is a time rift. In the lore journal after you beat him it's presumed that this is the dad of the first tiger vanguard. After this older vanguard held off wukong and was killed by him the yellow wind sage (previously the yellow wind king rat) fled and came back after a hundred years. The younger brother blamed the wind sage for his dad's death and his older brother loses to the sage as well, becoming an underling to him. The younger tiger out of rebellion sided with the rats of sandgate village and offered protection as long as there's some rats to feed himself which is why you see rat corpses and the blood pool when you fight him.

If you read their bios, it mentions that his father was the previous tiger vanguard before being killed by Wukong during the journey.
He also says “I have two little cubs waiting for me”.

Like in act one you got the fire mantle in act 1. In act 2 you got the Bell, that would have cancelled the wind/tornado out. But clearly you didn’t need it lol.

By the way, in the 1v2 boss fight, if you killed the rat king(the rat father) first and then the son, you'll get a piece of the father's flesh and a spirit of the raged son. The flesh is later used to summon his first son(the huge rat). So, by killing the second son first, you'll miss a spirit in exchange for a cut scene.
I feel like the other game could be Star Wars: Outlaws since that's the embargo I'm pretty sure of, and I know how much Afro messes with Star Wars. Hmm, I've never struggled with whether or not I should like an Afro video before. 😂
