ESR test is a blood test which is done to determine the erythrocyte sedimentation rate. ESR levels varies in healthy individuals and individuals with Infections.ESR levels are high in infections like bacterial infection and viral infection. ESR level also increase in rheumatoid arthritis, tuberculosis, fever etc. ESR levels decrease in sickle cell anaemia and white blood cell disorder like leukemia.
