@@drachuthagupta WIDAL TEST : S typhi O positive means active infection of typhoid fever. S typhi H positive means there is a past infection or it shows the result of the immunized person’s serum test report. What about AH and BH ?
1) Suppose O , H and BH are negative but AH is positive at 1:160 then do we have paratyphoid ?
2) Suppose O, H , AH are negative but BH is positive at 1:160 then do we have paratyphoid ?

@@junaidahmedkamal2468 90% you don't have typhoid but since its 1.80, it is better to repeat the widal test after 7 to 10 days.

Even one positive indicates that there is infection

Any dilution titre above 1:80 is positive . STO means acute infection and STH means chronic infection,so since STH is 1:160 then that is a chronic typhoid fever.
