I love how your birdie came over to “help” you present😆 I have to keep a tracker for brushing my teeth and getting sunlight (it’s easy for me to stay indoors all day for days on end, and then wonder why my mood has tanked). And yes - doing one thing is productive. (Sometimes, “rest” is the only productive thing I’ll get done in a day…and I’m learning that that’s ok.)
I think I need to switch up my productivity goal...I try to accomplish three small tasks a day (e.g. making the bed, unloading the dishwasher, and general apartment tidy up stuff). But there are some days where I just don't have the energy to do "all" of that. Even if my only accomplishment for tasks outside of work is making the bed, then I'll take that as a win. Also, I LOVE your process for determining how your morning routine will go based on your energy levels! That is a great idea, because there are just some mornings that the energy to do each step in the routine just isn't there. This is such a relatable vlog, thank you for sharing this update with us. Wishing you all the best!
I've found that the more structure I try to force on myself, the less productive I become. I try to just do whatever I can when I get a spark of energy then track what I end up getting done. Instead of making an overwhelming to do list then feeling terrible about myself when I don't finish it. I feel like it takes away the small wins of the day. Instead of feeling bad because you didn't finish your to do list, feel proud of the things that you did accomplish that day! That's why I like a running to do list that's not day specific. Less pressure :)
@@holliekate6260 Yes, absolutely! I definitely have days where I don't have the energy to even MAKE a To Do list. I'll have the "if I get it done, I get it done and if not there's always tomorrow" mentality. It helps me not be so hard on myself if I'm not building Rome in one day. ;-)
Omg totally relate to considering one task a day productive ! Also, that's such a brilliant idea to have certain routines based on what energy level you're at. I'm glad I found your channel. I think it's really cool to see another ADHDer who plans & journals. Thanks for sharing Hollie ! Have a great week :)
Thanks for sharing. First time I've your channel and I had to subscribe. I found it easy to identify with some of your difficulties. I'm not neuro divergent, but I have a lot of difficulties with depression. I'm retired, so I don't have the same kind of "to do's" that a lot of people have. I'm trying to set up a weeks mega to help me be more productive. I have hobbies and I'm pretty artistic, but it's difficult to come up with ideas that I can follow through with. I also want help with general housekeeping and self care. So, I'm looking forward to more from you. Your bird is some kind of conure, right. So cute! Great co-star! Thanks, again!
Thank you so so so much for this! I just got a hobonichi style undated planner today! As soon as I started on Pinterest and Instagram I got overwhelmed. Most people have these super busy, super decorated and super expensive spreads where it looks beautiful, but there isn't any actual planning that I could see. You are my planner soul sister and I will absolutely be following along for more great ideas, without completely unattainable goals!!!! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your process, I think I definitely put to much pressure on myself to do too much, but you have opened my eyes to a much more "stress free" way to track my days. And your birb is the best!!🐦❤️
I love the color coding! I did that a LONG time ago. Why did I stop? I love the hobby trackers. Have you tried audio books? I love listening when I doing chores or something. Could you listen to books while crocheting? I hated it at first, but someone told me to adjust the speed to your reading speed. I increase the speed to x2 and I check out audiobooks from my public library for free!
I love my color coding! it puts my mind at ease :) I haven't tried that many audiobooks but I totally could listen to them while I crochet! I can't watch anything while doing that so listening is the next best thing! although I haven't felt much inspiration for crochet lately :(
Great video, I just started to use tombow brush pens to highlight meetings and social events in my weeks. Can I get the pen number for the mint color tombow? Not sure if it is in my collection
omg i'm sorry, which type of birb is that? I've been searching for one bigger than rosicolis, that one seems so friendly as well! ahhhhh birbs are life
