Random Thought:
Short story. So anytime I do a warm or berry eyeshadow look, I will end up getting comments telling me I ALWAYS use those shadows and to do something else. Without any sort of public declaration, I set out to do a wider variety of looks this past month. And then on Saturday... a big ol warm palette came out to play. I was once again told that I ALWAYS use those tones and need to switch it up. I don't know where these folks are when I'm using other colors... but whatever the case, this got under my skin. To be truly honest, commenters haven't gotten under my skin for a long while.
What did I do? Snatched up screenshots/pics of my various "different" recent looks and put it on my instagram story. It gave my ego some momentary satisfaction. Then as I went and did some other things (organized a mountain of kids clothes).... I just felt like that post wasn't me. Maybe it was early UA-cam me who got fairly easily offended? But the (slightly) more evolved me (usually) gives grace and doesn't get worked up. I took my snappy, self-serving post down.
My lesson to myself (and maybe others who create)... there are people who- no matter what- won't be willing to acknowledge the cool things you've done. If it doesn't fit their "story" about you, they won't see it. LET THEM BE. ENJOY being yourself. You know your value. Check yourself when you need to, give grace to others and move on.

I think part of the increase in price for ELF is the better packaging, design, and frankly product. The camo concealer is a clear dupe of shape tape and they nailed it. ELF is working hard as a brand. Love the improvements.
It's too bad that the price has increased $2 in the short time that it has been available. That's almost a 50% increase. :-(
I love the OG camo concealer but the hydrating one was a disappointment :(.

I really enjoy your videos. You always do variety of make up brands. I am 64 years old and retired. I watch prices much more closely and appreciate that you don't just review high end products. There is so many product lines and listening to make up geek, she told the truth about how products are manufactured. Of course, sometimes pretty packaging is just a girl's choice as long as it is a great product too. Thank you for doing a great job and variety of products.

I think the ELF lip exfoliator packaging will help it hold up in the shower better. That’s where I like to use my lip scrubs, but they can get mushier.
I’ve always loved the ELF palettes and currently have the older version with the mirror. I prefer the older version of these. Your look is beautiful as always. Thanks for always giving honest reviews.

Hey, Emily! Big fan. I've been watching (and buying via your links! ;-) ) for years, ever since you were in the apartment! Quick video idea: It seems as if so many cosmetic companies are releasing undereye brighteners lately. Maybe do a comparison video? Believe it or not, the Becca/ Smashbox one was not the first on the market. SkinFood, a Korean brand, marketed the first "affordable" one over 13 years ago. And Pixi also had their Correction Concentrate. And we can't forget Bobbi Brown's! Hers may indeed be the first on the market.
It would be fun to put these head-to-head in a competition! All of these are still available, plus there are the new ones from Catrice and Lottie London along with E.L.F. I know you don't use that much Korean stuff on your channel, but the SkinFood one is really great, especially if you have dry under eyes.
So glad I picked up that Elf Mad for Matte Summer Breeze before the shade changes because it's one of my all time favorite palettes! You can get such a smooth perfect gradient and professionally blown out eye look so easily, and the shadows feel like high end.
Would love to see another eye look with this same eyeshadow palette!💙💛

If you haven’t tried e.l.f. Satin foundation, it’s super good! Medium coverage, wears really well, and satin finish.
I have yet to love a lip exfoliator more than the elf one so Coffee and Popcorn are definitely going to my choices on my next elf haul! LOL Glad to hear they are true-to-scent!
It appears that the Intergalactic palette is exclusive to the elf website where Ulta has a few exclusive color stories as well (Everyday Smokey, Need It Nude, Nude Mood, and Nude Rose Gold). It annoys me somewhat when I can't find an entire brands' lineup on their brand website though...
Jen Phelps reviewed the new Putty Color-Correcting Eye Brightener and it looks really nice! I'll be picking that up as well.
I really do love elf and I think, for the most part, the price increases have come with better quality as well.
Unfortunately, I do not get along with the Camo CC Cream. It's a bummer too because they have a near-perfect shade match for me, but I can't get it to last more than a few hours before it starts to break down...

You've probably answered this before but maybe warrants an update if you did but do you feel pressure to be Done Up/Full Glam whenever you go out? And maybe not EVERY single time but maybe for sure when you know there are gonna be a lot of eyes watching?
No, I don't really feel pressure to be all done up. I do makeup everyday because I just love doing it, but sometimes it's really natural, sometimes not. I figure I show myself makeup-free at the start of a lot of videos to thousands.... so I don't really feel odd if I go out & I'm not glammed up :) good question!

I worked in pharmacy for many years and there's a medication that smells like popcorn! I loved opening new bottles of it lol had to look crazy standing behind the counter trying to quickly sniff the new open bottles of good smelling meds 😅 There are a few different ones! My fave was the one that smells like marshmallows 🤭 Now I gotta get that popcorn lip scrub and see if it's the same 😆

Indestructible is No7 spf 50 foundation. But be prepared for freckles to peek through because it’s basically transparent.

I have noticed that you are getting more colorful with the eye looks. This blue look seems way more wearable than I would think blue could be.
I am happy to hear the lip scrub is still good-the elf Lip scrub followed by the Sephora lip mask is my go to in the am & pm. Haven’t had dry lips in years!
The elf shadows were supposedly reformulated and should be similar to the bite sized shadow formulation, which I honestly love.
Emily, you are so talented and amazing and your videos and personality are such a comfort to me, even during very difficult times in my life. Don't listen to anything the haters say. You are wonderful and even if you did the exact same look in every video for the rest of forever I would still love to watch.
