Its an ultra rare critical hit that also makes you reach 120% of your potential temporarily (as you enter "the zone"). You can notice it when it happens because of the red and black spark And also because they always yell "Black Flash!" What Yuji was using was Divergent Fist and normal CE strikes. Actually those aren't Black Flash it's called Divergent Fist with that white/Blue aura, Black Flash looks like Red & Black Lightning effects
