Thanks for the informative videos. I have this plane but I will fly with gas initially. I have converted a few big planes to electric, so I appreciate your ingenuity. Can you tell me how you balanced your plane? Not where, but how? Did you use a sling like the Venessa rig? thanks

It’s a pain. I put 1/8” wide masking tape at 6 1/2” and 7” in the center of the wing. Then two more lines at 6” and 6 1/2” from aileron corner (as per the manual) and set the airplane’s wingtips on pieces of 3/8” wide strip of wood on the marks at the tip on a 5 gallon bucket under each wingtip. Made sure the sticks were aligned with the center marks. The buckets allow the gear to go up and down as that will change the cg a bit. Tedious job but once it balances between the lines I fine tuned it by flight testing. Error to the nose heavy on this bird and work it back from there after flying. If it climbs with power- too nose heavy (too much up trim at medium speed level unaccelerated flight because of heavy nose). I’m guessing you’ll have to add weight to the nose with a 60CC gasser up front. Maybe not? Let me know!

Also- not sure how seasoned you are with RC but check the cg with the gear up and remember to not judge the CG characteristics in flight while the gear is down as that will cause the nose to pull down with power and at higher speeds. Get the gear up and go from there.
