In the present, before the battle between The Prince and Kaileena begins, the Dahaka appears trying to remove Kaileena from the timeline, The Prince tries to save her, and realizes that the Water Sword can damage the seemingly-invincible Dahaka. After fighting and defeating the beast, the Prince and Kaileena sail to the Prince's home of Babylon with each other. During the journey he apparently ends up making love to Kaileena where a dream enters in the mind of the Prince, appearing to be a burning Babylon, with a gold crown rolling to the feet of a mysterious, shadowy figure that ominously claims: "All that is yours, is rightfully mine...and mine it will be." As in the first ending, the old wise man's voice is heard stating: "Your journey will not end well. You cannot change your fate. No man can." This ending is a canonical ending and continues into Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

This is my favorite part of the game. Where Prince fights the monster that’s been terrorizing him throughout the game
just waiting for remake of this masterpiece
I hope it never happens because they will ruin it. With today social politics game like WW would never be made. Two bosses in this game are half naked women which are both killed by main male character. This would never happen in current social justice climate. They don't understand that portrayal of these two women is actually celebrating beautiful women and femininity and it is not disrespectful in any way. Both Shahdee and Kaileena kick ass in this game and have been definitely a major aspect why WW was so good. I was so disappointed when they killed Kaileena off in the sequel, because she was probably too OP and they didn't know what to do with her.

Looking back at this, the prince should have let the Dahaka eat Kaileena, then the sands of time would really not have been made.
