Thanks for the explanation - across brands. I always hear weight being mentioned, but am not sure why it makes so much difference. Overall it is not a big difference in the total weight of gear and ride and is mostly underwater so weights much less than actually stated. .. and is at the centre if turns and gravity. Please help me understand this focus. Thx
the issue of weight is connected to the amount of heave you have to carry with you when you foil , but inertia is a point to focus on too . Put it this way if you slow down substantially on your ride , your foil wing will drop deeper in the water column and a heavier foil will be more difficult to bring back up to the surface than a lighter one .
