Why Does No One care about the Insta360 ACE PRO Anymore?

- There's a lot of people upset about the Ace Pro from Insta360, but I have some things to say about it that may make you think again about picking up this camera...

After some time it's come to my attention that the Ace Pro DOESN'T have 10bit. And sadly, it won't be coming in a firmware update.
This does change my view on the camera as the ability to push the image in post is very important to me. I want that flexibility that 10bit provides.
Additionally, I've been having some noise issues in broad daylight which have caused me concern.
I still think this is a really good camera but being real I do need to test out the competitors now to see how their images stack up. A lot of things can be down to user error so I want to make sure it's not me being silly...but in case it isn't, I'll be back with a video that compares the Ace Pro to the rest.
I guess I got caught up in the marketing thinking there was 10bit when I really should've checked that it was confirmed 10bit.
That low light is actually seriously good, I'm excited to see how much better it is in the next version
Me too! It’ll be crazy when the day comes that action cameras have sensors closer to micro 4/3’s or maybe one day full frame 👀
@GeorgeHolden when is it coming the new 360? I’m not interested in the x3 because it’s to big end I don’t like the few of watching it
@biancavanverdegem6721 it’ll be huge if it comes to the X4 but I doubt the size will get smaller. If it needs the AI core to handle the low light it’ll need more space
The 8K, 10Bit and flip out screen makes it a no brainer!! Definitely on my list now! Sick video bro 👊🏽

I just got mine. But not for action, I’m too old for that. Will it prove to be the demise of my present vlogging camera the GoPro 12? That’s yet to be determined.
There’s one current thing to bear in mind and that’s the fixed focus distance. It’s set to 6ft which is too far for vlogging however Insta360 did reply to my comment on Instagram about this saying they are making something to fix this. MakeArtNow actually sells a solution as well which he 3D printed do you can screw in some diopters to fix the far focus. I’d recommend checking out his Instagram for the links :)
@@Markchristiankc I called and spoke with one of their techs and he said the minimum focus distance is about 1 foot. Holding the Insta360 Ace Pro about 1 foot away from my face when vlogging will not be a problem for me. 😎
Oh that’s interesting! In my testing my units focus is further than 1ft. Hmmm 🤔
@@Markchristiankc The actual measurement they gave me was 40cm or 1.31 ft. I usually hold a vlogging camera about 2 ft, give or take an inch, from my face.

I wanted the Ace Pro sooo bad but as my first action camera that price is waaay too expensive. I'm thinking about buying DJI OA3 now as that's a lot cheaper and makes good videos too 😀

Outside your window at night image sucks compared to Pocket 3 so as action camera at night it is not. They should have put in larger/better sensor, especially as the camera is bigger, I hope they do that in their next model or at least their competitors do as I really just would like to carry one small camera with me.
I feel there was definitely more I could’ve done in the settings to make the image better. I’ll be using it in future videos and making sure the settings are perfectly tuned so keep an eye out 🥳 but to be fair to insta360, it is an action camera and has the biggest sensor out of any action camera currently. It’s at least a step in the right direction 🙌🏻☺️
I don't know why i can't find anything for insta 360 ace ... all I can find is ace pro ... im doubting is everyone sold-out to insta360
You can buy the ace from insta360's website. Though if you mean you're struggling to find reviews for the Ace, it may just be because the Ace Pro is the flagship so everyone is opting to go for that one. It's why I did :)

The biggest problem is your face is blurry while the background is sharp, which is the issue that steered me away from the Ace Pro...the focus issue.
Thankfully insta360 are working on something to fix this. But yes it really bugs me too. Once it’s fixed though I feel like it’ll be amazing. It’s definitely something they shouldn’t have missed when launching it though
@@Markchristiankc that is good to know because I haven't made a purchase yet for what will be my first action camera. Very close tie between the DJI Action 4 and Ace Pro. I did see they enabled turning off the HDR which is the first positive move, if they can fix that focus issue...
by the way, the fact that you responded to my comment earned you a sub. I steer away from channels with tons of questions/comments unanswered!
@pat2383 yeah I was between the two cameras too! But the 8K and the amazing low light are what did it for me. Wasn’t aware of the focus distance till I bought it 🥲
Too expensive. 8k? for youtube? When was the last time anyone watched a video in 8k streaming? Never because its not even a thing for streaming. What, did you watch it on the phone in 480p? Who can even edit such a thing unless its not truly 8k. files would be huge. Action4 $300 vs insta $450. That's how most will make the choice.
That’s a fair point, even I don’t watch 8K stuff. But being able to film in 8K for VFX use or for the purpose of reframing in post does make sense. So I appreciate the option is available. The price is a fair point though but I’m not surprised cuz new things are always going to cost more than last years product 🤷🏻♂️
Stupid video. These Ace Pro solved one problem. Low light recording. It has many problems of its own.

@@Markchristiankc Don't pay attention to what this guy says: he's going to complain about this camera and troll ALL the UA-cam posts that talk about it. And the worst part is that he bought it and didn't even return it (since he has so many things to reproach her for). I think that in this story, it is not the Ace Pro which has the most serious problems ;)
