Thanks so much for sharing this! I am the pilot and want to share a little more info about this flight, specifically. This was round 2 at the 2023 RC Scale Nationals in Muncie, Indiana at AMA site #4. The goal here is to make it look as real as you can for max points. The wind was a bumpy quartering cross blowing about 15mph, which was evident after takeoff and from some buffering during the flight (I don't used gyros). The flight was decent, but it did get tossed around a bit. And yes, the landing was BAD. I haven't flown the Wilga since 2019 and just got it too slow. You can see as soon as the nose came up with the flaps down and all that weight, it slows down quick in the wind. I throttled up to smooth it out, but with less than stellar results. I actually bent both axles on that landing. New axles installed, we finished the rest of the weekend unscathed, and came home 4th in class! I appreciate all of the kind words and thanks again to The RC Geek for sharing and doing such a great job capturing this machine!
Really enjoyed this one Chris! I've always been intrigued by the Wilga...form follows function for sure! I appreciate the hard landing demo, but it clearly bent the gear aft of the joint...oh well...
@@jonoedwards4195 Jono!! What's up mate!?! I saw you in the chat during the live stream, but only after I had signed off. Still trying to figure it out. Cheers!!

Sounds like original full scale even!!
Boy, that thing is heavy, along with the wing loading!
Holy crap!
Sounds like it's running on a 350 V8 ! Awesome 👍
I love the sound of those Moki engines..
So hard to beat!
Wonderful
Sick plane.

Love the Wilga.
That’s just huge, you got to love that sound, I really hope I get an engine this big one day. 👍🏻
Looks like perfect flying conditions easy to follow the plane
At least the axles and suspension held good enough to save that nice prop. Awesome plane
Several times during the flight I had to remind myself this is an rc.
Wow, she even passed the landing gear suspension test.
The MOKI sound!
Sounds better than some full size planes

Brutal landing :(
Yeah, haha
Pre-draco. I had the electric blue version (2016).
Cool video! Easily mistaken for full scale when people aren’t next to it.
Looks like draco without the red paint
Naked Draco
Big draco
