Thank you so much for the shout out. First I love the shirt. They should market your color scheme on that shotgun it looks that good. I was good until you shot slugs and it hurt😁. You proved you can bust clays with a short barrel. Thanks again

It's always nice to see updates on firearms that we've seen before. It lets people know if you still utilize the shotgun and if it still is functioning well. Stays safe Buffalo.

You probably mentioned the weight of this in the first video but it does look pretty light. The SS12 break action I have is about 3.5 lbs and is very unpleasant to shoot more than a few shots from.

I love the ruggedness of these Baikal shotguns. I have an MP-220 SXS coach gun I bought long before the SHTF with a ban on Russian firearms. It has a bakelite buttplate and kicks like a damn mule, but I love shooting it. It has a lot of tooling marks on the unexposed surfaces like a lot of Russian made guns will. But it's tight and built like a tank, with a hard chromed bore for abuse.

That clinches it I'm buying a can of Aluma-Hyde II. I have couple plastic stocks that would look nice with some color. Your shotgun looks nice with your color combination. I admire the simplicity of this style of shotgun. So easy to breakdown and clean. Really like the gun gives the shooter a choice of ejection or extractor. As Ed Sullivan said " we have a really big shew".

I own a couple of old H&R Toppers with the exposed hammer, and set up just like that except 20 inch BBL. Really a lot of fun with those little 2" shells. Great for hand tossed targets, but not such sharp recoil (no pads on mine, just factory but-plates).
The Baikal really made a lot of improvements to that old design. Too bad they aren't available near me. Thanks for the follow up!

Very interesting to find this video. I recently inherited a Baikal IJ-18E Shotgun from my father that he bought when he just got out of school back in the day. It says made in the USSR on the receiver. What is really interesting is how similar it looks and functions to the MP-18, only difference being the fore-end and the stock being wood

The best firearm to start learning about shooting is a single barrel shotgun. It is the simplest gun there is to learn using. It teaches all the basic rules of using a firearm. It makes you take careful aim because you only have one chance to hit your target. It teaches you to not to shoot at distances that are past the limit of your firearm. You learn about gun safety, trigger control, sight alignment, and effects of recoil. You will miss your target if you don’t do all the steps important to not missing. Most of all it saves ammo because it gives you more time to think about why you missed or didn’t. Likely there would be no ammo shortages if shooters shot less and practiced more realistically using single shot firearms. Shooting fast is only important if you hit your target. You have to learn that first. The better shot you are; the less important having guns that hold a box shells become.🐃👏

Marvelous! Thank you for doing this video. Obviously in good hands like Buffalo's a single shot shotgun can do anything a utlity gun is supposed to do. Buffalo clearly shows one can take game on the wing, use slugs for more serious business, etc. With appropriate inserts one can add other calibres too, eg .22 LR. Baikals are also very popular in many countries in Asia. I am from South Africa and many folks over here probably could have used one of these last week as a last-ditch defensive tool. And this will shoot less-lethal ammo like rubber bullets too without any modification to the gun. (Maybe someone can design a more aerodynamic less-lethal rubber bullet, perhaps a diablo shape, and ask the Taofledermaus team to test it. Round baton rounds are not very accurate and often hit unintended targets). Excellent shooting on the clays.

I did the same on one of my 12 ga, cut the barrel to 18.25" for a camp gun, all around gun. I kept the long barrel on my H&R single shot 12 for the Cut Shell's, perfect for that, long range and accuracy 👌. Looks like the Russians did a good job on that one.
