    The crazy thing about growing up in Albuquerque was always being caught off guard by those balloons. Had some land in my parents back yard. Seen some land randomly on streets or intersections.

      You should watch the 360 video of the balloon ride that I just posted: ua-cam.com/video/VAinYkvox1w/v-deo.html . That will give you a completely different perspective on the event. Be sure to watch from a phone or tablet and use headphones if you have some... the positional audio adds a new perspective. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    Thank you for sharing I’ve never been in a hot air balloon and I have never been off the ground as it were. I’ve never flown a plane or flown in anything so seeing this up close was pretty cool thank you.

    Dropped in for ride along of your adventure bikes and wow, got the treat of a balloon ride also. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I live in Arizona in the 70s and I rode all over the Arizona deserts with a Yamaha 100 Enduro with friends. We would ride for days when we didn't have to go to school. You don't need a big bike to have the time of your life!

      Thanks for the feedback! Check out the 360° video of the hot air balloon ride: ua-cam.com/video/VAinYkvox1w/v-deo.html . If you watch from a phone or tablet, then you can pan around and look anywhere during the video... it's neat! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

      Thanks for watching and leaving feedback! Sorry to hear about your accident, and I hope you have a speedy recovery. The Super Cub is a fantastic little machine. It's easy to live with... very little maintenance and super cheap to operate. Good luck with your mini-moto shopping, and I hope that you find a good fit! 😉👍 --QM

      Sorry to hear about your health issues, Glen! Hopefully you and the docs can sort it out so you'll still have plenty of time to ride and enjoy the scenery. I'll be praying for you! 🙏 --QM

      @@QuasiMotard thanks i'm hoping to have some results back in a couple days that way they will know what i should do. they do know there is no cure. but what they looking for is a way to stop it from getting any worse. if they can i still wont be able to do stuff like you are. but i will be alive to do little trips and stuff. if not oh well. i will say this because as of this moment this is all we know. My brain is dyeing. my blood vessels collapsing in my brain.

    Sweeeeeet ! Evening watching sorted , 😉👍.. Aaron I asked in another video but i think you missed the question , How many tyres did you and Adrian go through on the Cub's Trailers ?

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  2 роки тому +1

      We burned through 2.5 rear tires each, and the third ones were nearly spent when we reached Houston. We averaged 3200-3600 miles each on the rear tires.
      Adrian is still running his OEM front tire with over 15K miles on it. I replaced my front tire with a new Michelin Pilot Street just before the trip, and it still looks new after ~11K miles.
      The trailer tires are also Michelin Pilot Street's, and they still look brand new after 10K+ miles. They are only carrying around half of the trailer's weight (around 100 lbs total, so ~50 lbs), so they are very under-stressed. I don't anticipate replacing the trailer tire for 40K+ miles... or until dry rot sets in. 😉👍 --QM

      @@QuasiMotard That really is impressive for the front tyres . Thinking about it both your and Adrian's Trailer tyre spent most of the time bouncing over washboards on some of the bad off-road days 😁

    How many days total were you away from home in this trip by the way? SCBR was 10 days but there are more days before and after the event

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  2 роки тому +1

      We were out on the road for 27 days total, with 23 riding days and 4 rest days. The total trip mileage was ~9750 miles (15690 km). I'm still working on a spreadsheet with the total expenses and the category breakdowns.
      The totals that I do have ready are my fuel stats: I averaged 109.1 MPG (2.156 L/100km, 46.38 km/L) overall, with a high of 132 MPG and a low of 97 MPG. I spent a total of $293.99 USD for 90.49 gallons of fuel at an average price of $3.29/gallon. That's cheap fun! 😉👍 --QM

      @QuasiMotard  2 роки тому

      Howdy! I'm hoping to finalize the rules and conditions so I can start advertising that this weekend! There will be a series of 4-6 livestreams where viewers participate in the stream to enter themselves into the final drawing. I'll set an end date for the contest (probably 4 weeks), and then draw for the winner during a final livestream. Stay tuned! 😉👍 --QM

    Please tell me you don't run that info overlay over the entire balloon ride. The perfect way to ruin the view.
