@@jesse4437 I know that. I said they were from that game in my video. Super Mario 64 DS actually has the better mini games since more of them are in there. Still though regardless, the mini games are awesome
Really wish this game got more recognition. In my eyes, it’s up there with the classic Super Mario Bros saga, and it’s disappointing to see it get lumped in with the sequels.
@@DKCfan10 I completely agree. This game is so fantastic. I would definitely put it up there with the likes of the original games. I absolutely love this game
I think the main problem the detractors have with the NSMB series is that each sequel is very similar to the previous game, even by sequel standards. I mean, they are all technically great games in their own right, but I can see where they are coming from, when you consider that most Mario games go out of their way to distinguish themselves from the last.
I completely agree with that sentiment. The other games feel like you’re playing the same thing despite them being completely different games. They didn’t try too hard to differentiate them from the last entry. NSMB DS holds up so well because I feel like it does feel different compared to even NSMB U. The game tried to be a different thing rather than a sequel to the last game
THE BLUE SHELL IS THE BEST POWER-UP OF ALL TIME, ITS OP BUT IT ACTUALLY TAKES SKILL AND I WILL NEVER CHANGE MY MIND. im like, genuinely so annoyed every time i wanna talk about it and what an awesome power-up it is and everyone thinks im talking about the spiny shell from mario kart. actually, since the blue shell came back but only in mario&luigi: bowser's inside story, i love this mario&luigi entry even more.
The blue shell was a powerup in Mario and Luigi bowsers inside story Anyway one of my favorite discoveries in this game was in 1-1 when you find the first mega mushroom. let it slide and bounce across the ground until it nears the edge of the pit and pick it up. You can stomp through the entire level including smashing the entire block staircase at the end of the level and even the flagpole itself
@@iBenjamin1000 doing that for the first time was the greatest feeling ever. Someone else told me the blue shell was in Bowser’s Inside Story and it makes me want to play it so badly
It's one of my favorite Mario games, played it a lot, finally beat it and keep coming back to it. IMO, the game is on par with the original NES Mario games.
@@brycetheoddball the game itself has several glitches that can ruin your experience that’s what I meant by buggy because that’s what it is. I absolutely love that game though
@ it did? I don’t remember glitches specifically. I remember some bad design choices like the poison river and pachinko game but glitches? I dont recall those.
On GameCube at least I’ve hit a weird amount of invisible walls that are just located randomly throughout some of the levels. One I can remember vividly was being sent flying incredibly high and being forced to reset the game because I was soft locked. Not sure how common it is though. Regardless though the game is perfect I love it so much
Eh if im going to play new ds than i will just play newer ds instead as more original and even though this is not wii i would aslo rather just play newer Wii over the original game as well the newer games keep the mechics and gameplay of originals while adding much needed creativity.
