For not having planned or practiced this exactly, Paul does a better job than almost anyone else could even with tons of practice Paul's performance really comes from the heart as he and the other Beatles were always inspired by Buddy. Paul especially loved Buddy's music as you can tell by the style of many of the first songs he ever wrote and performed. He did it as a tribute and in a low key. He can do this song better. Anyway, nobody can do this song like Buddy Holly, not even Sonny West nor the great John Fogerty nor Springsteen. This is a Buddy Holly song forever.

@186kms So they can be rented out to people doing shitty covers of the Beatles on commercials. Fortunately, every time it happens, they almost always yank the commercial quickly because the covers are always terrible.
Nope. McCartney asked for Yoko's help to buy Lennon's share of songs but she refused so McCartney backed out as well and Jackson bought them. McCartney never owned, they were out there for any one to buy.

I love Paul and I love this song but the two just don't go together. This is not good

TERRIBLE version! He just hasn't got the voice for "old time Rock and Roll". Paul does NOT do a great version of this song. If that is supposed to be pro-musician's then it is an insult to Buddy that they just fuck this song up. Can't even decide what to sing on the last backing vocals before the end. NO, Macca, you did NOT nail this one............
