    Great vid dude ... just wanted to add I know your looking at penetration and wound damage but if the pellet dumps it's energy effectively it shouldn't go through .....as you saw with the daisy hollow point .. if the pellet passes clean through it's taking the energy with it .. if it stops all the potential energy is transfered in target. the shock of impact often kills before the wound does. It will be an interesting test .. or maybe put some thin wood board in front of dough to simulate bone like material on small prey items ... again great vid dude .

    I like the test you´ve just performed with different configurations of .177 pellets, it is clear enough how the pellet energy is transferred to the dough. Thanks for share such a video.

    great video, you helped a lot to select the hornets for future buy.
    For me,
    Paper targets : flat pellet
    Long range (40+ meters): classic diablo shape
    Penetration (metal, wood): Gamo leathal
    Shock (apples etc): Hornet or hollow point
    I do not hunt animals, so I don't really care more this kind of target.

    Great test! Definitely some serious damage at point blank range for a tiny pellet. Now to try thirty to fifty yards to test hunting power and accuracy.

    I did not think the last ones would make holes much bigger then the pellet it's self. I have the gamo whisper its 1100 pba, an 1000 lead another fun thing to do is put a drop of oil in the skirt of the pellet gives it more speed I brake the sound barrier with the gold flights but good idea with the doe, I used play doe smashed in a tin can to catch pellets and I make my own splatter targets .

    Awesome Video as always . I actually liked the Daisy Hollow point results best. I want to recommend to You the standard Winchester Hollow Point Pellets . They are heavy hitting devastators . Also : If you plan on dieseling your rifle , let Me recommend You using a cheap but good rifle : The Winchester 1100 SS . It’s $59.00 bucks at Walmart . I love GAMO and try to protect them from damage . But either way : I love your videos . Buy Blue an elot’e for Me . Does He eat corn?

    Nice review of the diffrent pellets and how they perform. But if you plan on hunting small - medium smal game with your air rifle, it's best to break it in first with heavy pellets and with accuracy. Its proven with air rifles that accuracy with precision shot placement and dead on P.O.I. is the most and best way to take down the quarry. Especially setting up your break barrel air rifle. Usually a heavy dome or piranha type in the 9 - 10.5 grain or pointed in the same grains in .177 is efficient and 15.5 - 17.5 ballpark grains In .22cal is very vital with the accuracy and shot placement on your actual quarry. PCP air rifles can play a little more with some diffrent types of ammo because they actually work effects to their max on diffrent style expansion pellets because these are more powerful and consistent with power and precision. Nice little air rifle choice you have there! Keep slinging that sweet air rifle lead. Ed The Professional Backyard Sniper Man😎✌

    Mainly cuz the daisy pellets are softer then most pellets so they expand fast

    • @peterbaugh51
      @peterbaugh51 Рік тому +1

      The expansion is a result of pellet design, high velocity, and much higher energy being forced onto a smaller projectile. This is why many .22 pellets do not expand and pass through small game. Less velocity, less shock. 177 usually are faster, create more shock. Physics.

    Do a video on dieseling pellets.

    • @RaysTwoPence
      @RaysTwoPence 3 роки тому +2

      There no real need to .as dieseling only ads a 100ftps max .but unless you have a really old gun from the 50s.to the 80s it won't make a difference and just make pellets inaccurate ... this is because old guns use leather seals and have a lot of oil on them .. and these guns diesel pellets all the time . However these rifles tend to keep velocity below 800 to 900ftps to stop trans-sonic shockwaves from causing inaccuracy .. New rifles espicaly you guys in America have powerful rifle a pushing close to 1100 ftps which is nearly supersonic any faster the pellets are likely to spin and not work as intended.. also there us a difference between dieseling and combustion . Combustion will make the pellet almost double in speed at times but that's bad for your gun as you are causing an explosion inside the compression chamber. And can cause gun failure..
