So, when you have flavoured sushi rice, like truffle or scallions and ginger and maybe sesame, do you first add the sushi seasoning or is it just plain rice? (I know most sushi restaurants in Japan only make one sort of rice, seasoned, but I'm thinking you aren't most sushi chefs)
This looks spectacular! I would love to make this! But I'm not sure I would spend my money especially on the beef! The truffle yes, i have some black truffle from Italy, and I have some red king crab from Alaska, i have American Sturgeon roe. Just not from Russia. LOL I think I'm going to use some prime black Angus filet mignon instead of the expensive japanese beef.
For some very good flavors, like truffle, it’s better to use less and have more for other dishes than use it all on a single dish, though sparing no expense for one extravagant meal certainly has a charm to it as well.
