Rich lewis is my favorite mountain man. His dogs are awesome and relentless when it comes to chasing away the big cats. I even like his vehicle. All are tough as nails .
I love them all ,but Tom is my hero ,for a man of his age and having a knee problem I understand all to well ,he just inspires me , His body beat up from years of rodeo ,my back and knees are shot from years of pushing myself to keep working with a bone disease and I have spent years in the mountains and dealt with snow as well ,so I know how hard just walking in snow is ,let alone toting all the gear and traps . . So his life style and hard work at his age ,I just love him ,not to take away from any of the other's ,Rich and his dogs and Wilber truck ,Marty and his plane and snow mobile in no mans land ,Eustace and Preston with a gasifier truck ,they are just men I admire . My Dad could take take the junk of others and turn it into treasure so the ingenuity of all of them remind me of Dad ,He was not a mountain man but he knew how to take a bad situation and turn it around ,a quality I see in all the Mountain Men
I don't give a shit what the government or people in the offices say, we can learn alot from these men like this of how we learn to live off the land and protect peoples and animals we care about. High class people needs to worry about themselves of how to survive when things can go wrong now or towards our future. I luv watchin this show Mountain Men and I will live like these tough men live if I want to, it shouldn't matter what people thinks. Keep up with the fight and work Mr. Tom, Mr. Marty, Mr. Rich, and Mr. Eustace
I like how you guys focus on positives instead of just negatives because a lot of chanels just bash on shows and make them look bad. thanks for quality content and keep up the good work!
Eustace Conway, Tom and Nancy Orr, Marty, Lewis and Hawks family are some real tough cookies. I admire their way of living. I’m sure it’s very tough with lots and lots of work but they are Free. Really free. They get up go to their chores wearing what they want , they work hard and have meals with their family and live in nature. There is no better place than living in the woods off the grid. I love it. Eustace and Preston were a wonderful team with a friendship to be admired. They just don’t make ppl like those two. I’m so sorry I never got to meet Preston. He raised some really good boys. Well mannered, good looking, hard working men. Need to clone a few more of them lol. The one with little son is my dream guy. I am so glad you put this show together. It’s amazing.
I feel that mountain is great because it helps young children watching the past history what life was like in past years I am 72years old and enjoy this program a lot and hardly ever miss it
I watched a video of each of these men of how they came to be who and what they are today.they are all amazing men. To me,they are all amazing Americans!free spirit.
I love the show! Eustace and Tom are my favorite! Tom needs to sell on AMAZON!! I would buy and it would be safe to say most people on here would buy too!
WHENS THE NEW SEASON COMING OUT ON HISTORY CHANNEL?? :~) I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER, I WANT IT NOW!! :~) COME ON, GIVE US MORE, MORE, MORE!! :~) BEST SHOW EVER!!
My heart hurts for Eustice in the persecution he has faced. It's amazing and tragic that living off grid in a true demonstration of sustainability and self-reliance would prove to become fodder for control freaks and busy-bodies. I'm sad for America.
Eustace Conway likes playing the victim. He knew there were rules and building codes before he built anything. Now he's whining about being called out for ignoring those rules. Every one of his problems with authority are his own doing.
@@zone4garlicfarm Yeah, I really feel for him at Preston's passing, but I have always hated Eustace on the show by far. In particular the first couple seasons, Eustace would do some idiotic b.s. thing and blame it on someone else, 90% of the time, Preston. He got better last couple seasons in that regard, but he is a real drama queen and in my opinion not the brightest bulb on the string. The Gasifier was slightly interesting, but everything else was just typical Appalachia to me (not his personality, his ideas and ways of life). I always thought Preston was bordering on sainthood to put up with him though. They should have starred Preston, perhaps if they had he could've been a little more attentive to his health. Eustace was and is a waste of the viewers' time, but I don't agree with the government shutting down a primitive building like that for code violations. I've always hated how the gov't pokes their noses in everywehre, and in most states you would lose your children at a minimum for living like some of these guys because no running water or other things. Look at Thorn on Live Free or Die (he and Colbert only 2 i like on that one) there is no way he would be allowed to have his daughter stay there for extended periods in most states, many won't allow you to *legally* live in any of the buildings these guys do. No such thing as freedom anymore when you don't have the right to choose whether or not to have running water. (some states allow, or on indian reservations and special circumstances like amish/menonite communities etc citing religious freedom, but most "civilized" states won't) Did a lot of digging into local and state laws a few years back when we were looking to take a family of 7 off the grid and into homesteading in what little way it is still possible in the lower 48, and only found a handful of states whose laws were friendly in all aspects we required and had decent realestate prices, but going from NY to the middle of nowhere WV KY or TN just to look at a piece of land, with or without a building on it, wasn't very feasible, and we found that in virginia you had to hire a realtor before yo ucould even come to the state to start looking at houses or some B.S. like that. The states we thought would be friendly weren't all so when it comes to hunting licenses, tags, and limits, and gun laws even if they are largely unpopulated frontier in large part. Many of the states like Maine, Montana, Wyoming, NM etc etc have exceedingly high hunting costs even for fulltime residents, and painfully low limits (NY has low limits but its not 400bucks for 1 big game tag like in some places) while places like I mentioned before, all residents need no license to hunt their own land, nor their relatives etc, and some parts of say Virginia or WV I think it was you oculd take like 6 elk on the low end, and in some places there was no limit, not to mention the fact elk were even available (their deer kinda suck compared to our white-tails in NY but they didnt just have deer. NY prohibits hunting of feral pigs too even though they are invasive and dangerous while most states encourage it and dont require any license or imposte any limits thereto.
No. Contrary to what these people would tell you these type of shows are all completely scripted. They don't really try to hide it if you look into it. Remember Marty and the show portraying how he must kill a sheep or his family will starve? So what's he do? Gets in his plane and flies a few hundred miles to shoot a goat or sheep with maybe 30 lbs of meat. He could have went to the super market stayed home and got more meat for less expense
History adds the unnecessary drama, and lies, but I'm pretty sure Marty would still jump in a plane to kill a goat without the cameras around. That's just what he does. We all know that with the show's popularity, none of them are starving. Just sucks that they're made to follow the story lines or they won't get that big check.
@@TimeWarp-pj4kz its not scripted, it's edited for dramatic effect. Don't make things up to look special: you're not. There are shows similar that do script a little more, or exaggerate part-time mountain-men types to full-timers etc, but "these type of shows" are not "ALL completely scripted" some are, some aren't. Ever seen Mick Dodge? You know how he got paid for the show? He didn't. He didn't want to. He had what would have been his pay be put into some fund in line with his wishes ( I forget if it was a school or foundation or waht) Tom Oar, is Tom Oar, whether you see 100% of his life or only 30%, he is who he is, not a city slicker that flies out to some cabin in the woods to film a tv show. Colbert on Live Free or Die really does live in the middle of a Georgia swamp with no electricity or running water in a cabin he built up a tree, but gee, he has to go to a post office to mail out his skins to the auctions each year and he has to pay his property taxes out of that and such income every year to keep his home, and we've seen him drive a truck, he needs a license for that, but those little things dont mean these people and their lives shown on the shows are all made up, none of it is, it's jsut strategically edited to keep viewer itnerest like between commercials etc. You think what's his face didn't fall off a cliff in Alaska TLF? oh I know, whats his face's wife in arkansas there, she didn't literally give birth on camera, barely having the necessary parts blocked at some points. They narrated and edited the clips leading up to it to increase suspense and drama, but the baby was born right there on screen, I bet you think it was faked because they didn't show the gory details, huh?
@@TimeWarp-pj4kz girly men like you will simply just never understand. Go back to manscaping! You must be living in a Time Warp in 2280 or some shit.....oh, wait
..here in France is called "Seul face à L'Alaska" (alone facing Alaska") The show i very popular (02-2020) been around for a while, my girlfriends is addicted to it and loves all characters, I know abit about it, I spend 4 years in Eielson AFB. Big thanks to all involved. Cheers, George & Jane, Normandy.
Not to rain on anyone's parade, because we watch and enjoy the show, but Tom Orr does not have it nearly as bad as the producers would like you to believe. He does not live 100 miles from the nearest grocery store, nor does he "have to bag a deer" in order to live through the winter. He does live withing about 10 miles of The Yaak Mercantile, a small store/gas station and bar/restaurant. The Dirty Shame bar/restaurant is across the street. A couple of miles down the road is a small hotel with a full restaurant. About 40 miles from there is the town of Troy, MT, complete with a bank, gas stations, schools, a grocery store, a couple of hardware stores, etc. All this aside, Tom is quite capable of all of the things that they show him doing on the show, and he and Nancy are very, very nice people. I would be willing to guess that the "extremes" that the other personalities on the show are alleged to live through are not nearly as bad as they are made out to be, but as it is with everything else, reality shows are scripted just like any other TV show. They are not (sometimes, but usually not) spontaneous productions that show whatever happens to pop up in the life of a Mountain Man. Just thought I would bring some reality to the this reality TV show.....
@@jrobertlysaght what's wrong with pointing out that no one can truly make it on their own, not for long at least. And further, the Santa thing is really weird, we trick kids into believing in a magical reverse burglar that keeps track of kids like they were inmates in the panopticon. What's more, the government wastes millions of dollars every year pretending to track said mythological character, meanwhile parents all over the country stage elaborate deceptions while convincing themselves that they're not lying to their children. Is it any wonder why so many kids don't trust their parents?
Well said. It's something I've always wanted to try, even if it was for only 6 months. Just to experience it would be awesome. But, the wife and 17 year old daughter can't go long without their gadgets and mirrors. Lol.
Growing up on a rural ranch I never understood the appeal of these types of shows when we finally got access to television and I watched them. Then I came to the city for college, and I see that these SOB's ain't rode a horse in their lives, and cant stand having dirt on their hands. I figure they can't hardly believe someone could live like that, and it fascinates them. Just like some polecat from the US census that came out from Denver to our ranch. He was absolutely shocked someone could live like we did.
big fan of the show..these guys are what being a proper men are about..cant say ive a favorite.i admire them all..will miss preston Roberts...as a Roberts myself I wish his wife and family well
In the lower 48 states the most remote area is in Wyoming where it is possible to be nearly 19 miles from the nearest road. 95% of Alaska is more than 20 miles from any road.
Can't get much more remote than the Yaak though, it's basically a dead-end road (during the winter) and there's almost no one up there. I'm Tom's neighbor and you can hear if a car goes by which is only a few times a day in the winter. During the summer you get a few tourist taking the scenic route but still pretty quiet.
Jim Northland -- Oh not true. Heck, I know of places in Oregon that's way more than 19 miles to the nearest road. Trust me, I live in a remote part of Oregon myself.
Thank You for the work you put into this vid.. I have lived it, and had to come back, out of the woods, for surgery, and transplants.. Again i Say with a Montana smile Thank You. OHHHHHHH Great VID
Can you believe it?! I guess it is also illegal to catch water for your own consumption. I lived in the Clearwater/Largo area a few years back, and I'm guessing the water thing is due to mosquito larva. When I first arrived into the state, one of the first things that caught my eye was a huge fleet of trucks with a giant MOSQUITO decal on the doors. Needless to say, I'm thinking, "are the skeeters THAT BAD??!!"
Heres a fun fact, the government started taxing us for rain water here in MD. Yes, we actually have a rain water tax. For what you might ask? who the fuck knows.
Gary Kovach Ya I was being sarcastic, but I really dont think "we all know" I mean there are alot of people who know the government is just stealing money from us and not actually using it for government purposes. However there are alot of sheep out there that really believe the government would never do something like that, and are not currently doing it.
Dark Souls One thing for sure, things of this nature will become more prevalent in the NEAR future. So, as they used to say in the Navy back in the day, "DROP YER COX AND GRAB YER SOX," which means you best pay attention, if you know what's good for you.
This show is the only reality show worth watching. Naked ,and afraid, alone ,or any other show of this genera got nothing on the likes of Morgan Beasly, and the others.
I think there's more to the story than what we're hearing, concerning Eustace and his neighbor. We've only heard her side of the story. I'd like to hear his side. I bet she's done something he didn't like, such as using some of his land to grow weed. lol

Rich lewis is my favorite mountain man. His dogs are awesome and relentless when it comes to chasing away the big cats. I even like his vehicle. All are tough as nails .
Can't stand him.
I have heard rumors that he may be coming back...I hope so...because name is my least favorite on the show...
Brilliant program and one I can watch all day .... Respect for these folks!!
My mother used to ride rodeo with Tom. He is why I watch the show. I still want to order one of his knives too.
I love them all ,but Tom is my hero ,for a man of his age and having a knee problem I understand all to well ,he just inspires me ,
His body beat up from years of rodeo ,my back and knees are shot from years of pushing myself to keep working with a bone disease and I have spent years in the mountains and dealt with snow as well ,so I know how hard just walking in snow is ,let alone toting all the gear and traps . .
So his life style and hard work at his age ,I just love him ,not to take away from any of the other's ,Rich and his dogs and Wilber truck ,Marty and his plane and snow mobile in no mans land ,Eustace and Preston with a gasifier truck ,they are just men I admire .
My Dad could take take the junk of others and turn it into treasure so the ingenuity of all of them remind me of Dad ,He was not a mountain man but he knew how to take a bad situation and turn it around ,a quality I see in all the Mountain Men
God bless Tom & Nancy Orr!!!! He is my favorite!!!!!
Eustace
Also love Lewis ,when he lost his favorite dog I was quite upset. He is the real deal
One of our favorite shows to watch. Living life remotely is the best.
I like how you guys focus on positives instead of just negatives because a lot of chanels just bash on shows and make them look bad. thanks for quality content and keep up the good work!
Marty saved the cameraman from becoming a popsicle! Kudos to Marty!
We love mountain men!!!!!!Tom oar was for real!!!!him and hi wife are beautiful people!!!God bless them all!!❤🙏
Love this show! Toms the best! Reminds me of my grandpa
I love that show I wish you would put it back on Netflix.
to me this just affirms that these guys are the real deal.
The county wants to make more money, leave this guy alone its his property,
Anytime Tom & Nancy Oar is on TV or Eustace & Preston. Mountain Men is one of my favorite shows!
Is eustace married
Yes mine too , a truely great program , really entertaining educational and so good , no rubbish , booze or drugs , just good hard working people .
@@judithryle2113

rich, marty,Tom kyle..absolutely brilliant and not forgetting eustice and preston
k kraken yyyyyyy

I though Preston was an amazing person, but didn't think a whole lot about eustace...
Tom is just adorable. Watching from the philippines
We ❤ Tom and Nancy ! They are our favorite on mountain men. He should be worth more then 3 times more then 200,000! Love you Tom.
They do have an outlet where they sale their items. I went on the site not long ago. The stuff is really expensive.
I met Marty at the 2018 National Trappers Association convention. He seemed really down to earth!
tom is the best guy
he walks in jeans and a cowboy hat in the winter, and complains about cold....
Amen
What is Tom's net worth?
This is such a good show and so interesting. I don't have a favorite Mountain Man, I happen to love them all.
EUSTACE has been through so much especially losing his buddy , but thru it all he always remains positive !
looper is a channel that never gets old as the weeks tick by. yet again we have another good video. thanks again looper.👽🖖
Thanks Chris! and thank you for all the kind words you always share with us!
love to meet tom oar and spend a weekend going out on his trap line helping and learning. best day ever.
All the guys are cool especially Tom and his wife one can tell that they really love one another. 💯👍🏻😊
I love the show despite being a city girl
This is what people need in their lives.
nice to see a positive video. mountain men is full of good hard working people
WHENS THE NEW SEASON COMING OUT ON HISTORY CHANNEL?? :~) I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER, I WANT IT NOW!! :~) COME ON, GIVE US MORE, MORE, MORE!! :~) BEST SHOW EVER!!
Great Show love all the mountain men never get sick of watching it Makes you wonder could I do this love all the sceneryand close ups of the animals
Love this program and all the characters. Good to hear Ozzyman doing the narrating :)
My dad does the sound for this show!

Are these for real i watch this every day in England never seen guys as strong as these Tom is my fave what energy for a old geeza.
You might add a old broken up rodeo champion after 20 years and started a second life with a wife :-)
Tom, Nancy, and dog Ellie are my favorites but, the whole show is GREAT!!!!!
..here in France is called "Seul face à L'Alaska" (alone facing Alaska") The show i very popular (02-2020) been around for a while, my girlfriends is addicted to it and loves all characters, I know abit about it, I spend 4 years in Eielson AFB.
I ALWAYS WANTED TO MOVE OFF GRID AND LIVE OFF THE LAND CONTROL MY OWN DESTINATION , TIRED OF BEING HELD DOWN WITH NO OPTION .
We are no longer living in Daniel Boone days. Those days are gone forever. Wake up and smell the coffee, buckaroo...
@@CLASSICALFAN100 I'm imagining you around kids when they mention Santa Claus.
@@CLASSICALFAN100 You have to leave the city, and go to the bush.
Lol.
Tom and Marty are the top two.
Following the series on History every time I can. My hero is Eustace. Skillful man.
Man the show I tune in every Thursday night to watch love the show be watching sins the 1th season 😁
He's a native of Gastonia NC as am I and attended ASU as did I. Pretty cool.
Tom and Eustace are my two favorite guys on the show
big fan of the show..these guys are what being a proper men are about..cant say ive a favorite.i admire them all..will miss preston Roberts...as a Roberts myself I wish his wife and family well
anyone know if this show is coming bac for 2017?
In the lower 48 states the most remote area is in Wyoming where it is possible to be nearly 19 miles from the nearest road.
95% of Alaska is more than 20 miles from any road.
lol
Can't get much more remote than the Yaak though, it's basically a dead-end road (during the winter) and there's almost no one up there. I'm Tom's neighbor and you can hear if a car goes by which is only a few times a day in the winter. During the summer you get a few tourist taking the scenic route but still pretty quiet.
Jim Northland -- Oh not true. Heck, I know of places in Oregon that's way more than 19 miles to the nearest road. Trust me, I live in a remote part of Oregon myself.
Learning of MARTYS' career as a firefighter and MARTYS' retirement flight, from a commenter, was a nice little tidbit about MARTY.
Love this show and Tom is my favorite although I like all of them. This and Life Below Zero are the only two real reality shows I watch.
Thank You for the work you put into this vid.. I have lived it, and had to come back, out of the woods, for surgery, and transplants.. Again i Say with a Montana smile Thank You. OHHHHHHH Great VID
This show was the best when i was like 14 or 15, I'm 20 now and i dont think its on TV anymore sadly.
Interesting factoid - it's actually illegal to live off the grid in Florida if you have a solar system.
Dark Souls BULLSHIT, WE ALL KNOW. There WILL come a day when we all get fed up and turn the proverbial table, rest assured.
Thanks a ton love all these guys
i like tom the old men great spirit

Mountain Men is one of the only "reality shows" that I actually watch. Most of the others have a fake feeling about them.
Love Tom Oar, a true Montana cowboy
This show is the only reality show worth watching. Naked ,and afraid, alone ,or any other show of this genera got nothing on the likes of Morgan Beasly, and the others.
Good video! I like them all! Thanks.
This video could have gone on for an hour and I'd still be entertained
Great video thanks so much for sharing
ty for the up Tom is the main man :)
I think there's more to the story than what we're hearing, concerning Eustace and his neighbor. We've only heard her side of the story. I'd like to hear his side. I bet she's done something he didn't like, such as using some of his land to grow weed. lol
Most people that live in cities don't really know direction , when there are no signs giving them the miles an streets , country living in the bush is totally different for sure .
Tom , Nancy and dog Ellie are our favorites ! Sure going to miss them . Think they might make a guest appearance at some point ? Could you contact Tom or has he left contact info. for people like us that would love to order an item he makes ? Would love to buy our grown son a Bow set . I know they have a son in Florida and I wish the entire family much happiness . May God Bless you all , Linda

My favorite is Tom Husten and Tom. I Love then old God Bless them
very nice... thanks
Tom Oar I like, I too have tanned deer skins, made knife handles out of antlers, hunt with a bow and arrows, and love the outdoors,( not bad for a 70 year old).
Kenneth Steele Hats off to you too sir! Archery skills used to be part of physical education in schools. Sadly only real men use bows anymore! All the skills of our forefathers need to be passed down!
Without doubt Tom is the most watchable, a real mountain man, what a character.
Rich is the worst. I hate him putting his dogs in danger, letting them fun so far ahead of him, and leaving his horses unprotected while he goes off. And I would no way pay this guy money just to chase off a cat.. you better bring me proof you killed that thing. It will just come back again and kill folks farm animals..not impressed with him
