I have 3 emeralds and always thought about breeding them someday. Removable perch was the first cage setup re-do you really cant do without it.
"Making it rain" with the mister does the trick when it comes to them needing to "go"

I dont know Keith but I sure know of him and I really hope he and others have success really soon with Boeleni. Although we will never have them here in Australia it would be great for them to become fully established in your hobby and be on the same trajectory as the Oenpelli python is here in Australia thanks to Gavin. Best of luck. Another great video Gary (hair dryers use too much electricity anyway).

Don’t agree with not handling your snakes and enjoying them….what is the point in owning ANYTHING that you can’t enjoy…..makes zero sense. Have owned almost every Python you can think of since the mid 90’s….(just acquiring my second Boelens 2 weeks ago which now gives me a future pair)…..I have NEVER had a problem handling any of my snakes and have never had any major stress signs. They have all thrived. If you leave them locked in a PVC box with stale nasty air and a single PVC perch to sit on day in and day out….I don’t blame them for being in a foul mood. That set up works fine for “breeders” who basically have tons of them simply for purposes of breeding and selling….but for those that want the full enrichment of the animal and to truly OWN these animals…..create as REAL of a natural environment as possible for them…..they don’t need to be locked in a plastic box with a plastic unnatural smooth PVC perch and an artificial radiant heat panel blowing them like a blow dryer to have a good shed…..you don’t find ANY of those things in their natural habitats. Give them natural WOOD! Actual VENTILATION, as close to natural light as possible and give a good spray down before the lights go out each night and let it dry out the following day and your GTPs will absolutely thrive for you.

Nice 🙂👍 are they same size as Brazilian rainbow boa, and large coulubirds like indigos get 8 ft but I also wanna know can they eat same prey size being that all snakes I mention seem to be equal size as adults and all are testerial tree climbers 😊 so being that Brazilian rainbow boa, emerald basin's, indigos are as adults very much similar size and climb eat same prey seems good only thing will seem be different is there girth as to which one will eat the larger prey item . Which is typically rats , bats, birds , 🦎. But the question is a 6-8 ft adult can stay rats entire life but at that size idk if just 1 large rat is good maybe a jumbo rat works best my intake .

My jungles absolutely thrived in tubs set up the exact same way. Any cage I’ve used never could keep humidity up at a consistent level.
