I was almost randomly attacked by a man in broad day light. I am so happy returning to Hong Kong. I don’t have the anxiety when walking on the streets, that’s the biggest freedom to me.
@@ellentsui530 Exactly, no security no freedom. I live in LA and HK alternatively. I feel so much safer and at ease in HK when I walk alone at night in the city which I would never do in LA. That's real freedom to me.
@@alfreedng another time I was bothered by a group of black teens on the bus as they blocked my way out., and they laughed. A big guy yelled at them, and they let me exit. A male friend was punched in the face when he walked out of the mtr at a downtown station during the busy off work rush hours.

There's some positive and negatives, but the negatives I had experienced back in Canada was far more than positives. Personal experiences only.
Hong Kong style Cha Charn Tian is not fast food in US. Compare Mcdonald's menu will give you a better idea, but price is also different from each city of US. Remember US and Canada has property tax each year even if you own your house. Hong Kong's maintenance fee is insanely high compare to the rest of the world. No place is perfect, so take your poison. I'm citizen of both HK and US, but I choose to stay in US at the moment. Everyone who can find jobs else where is moving out of NY and CA, things are little less expensive in other states. You can still get a new 2000+ sq ft house for around 400-450k USD in Houston. Cars are less expensive in US compare to HK, except China made EV and Tesla.
Wing-Chun is a great sell in N. America as long as you package your stuff well!! A lot of Gwai Lo's dig it!!!! and for Asians, better learn some martial arts living in US..... you just never know.... you could run into some weird/aggressive black guys that wanna taunt/rob you!!
Unless u r in the hi income bracket (e.g. in universities , large intern'l co, 'prof"like medical) there is no return. Besides simple arithmetic $'s age discrimination is a very serious social problem.
restaurant owners have ways to bypass minimum wages (for people who need to work) . Supermarkets don't hire full time to cut benefits & vacation days etc. I guess if u r at the bottom u can't even get bottom legal wages.
2Mhkd = 250kus = nothing ! there were/are barefoot dentists in chinatown for those w/o insurance or can't afford registered dentists. Sure same is true of other ethnic communities. bf dentists prob. were some kind of dentists elsewhere before they were airdropped into the states, but lag credential/language & $ to become legal. Access to drugs like tranquilizer etc could also a crime.

I experienced a few races harassment when I was young. There was a time when I was threatened by a Vietanamese with a gun. One time at night on the street, a drunk white guy taller than me with a knife tried to attack me, but I was able to beat him back and ran away. And another time was when I was in a mall, came out from toilet, and a few white guy tried to threaten and attack me. I beat down one person and dodged the other two and ran away.
And when I first went to Canada, racism and school bulling was very serious...I need to defend myself and fought with those white kids, black kids...and even some Korean. So I honestly don't feel like living in a western country is actually that much better. There's some positive and negatives, but the negatives I had experienced back in Canada was far more than positives. Personal experiences only.
just come back to hk, it's your home and our roots. contribute to the city and make a change for our home.

根本上，無錢響邊都係地獄！你就算響香港，無錢，一樣係好難捱！

我住的地方一份西多only要$12美金未計稅未計小費， 麥記一份雙層漢堡餐係$11.19美金未計稅
最低工資亦唔可以就咁比較金額， 反而你可以由最低工資睇到不同社會整體生活水平有幾大差異， 這是最低工資哦， 用作保障基層能至少吃到基本飯的水平

港弊兩百萬係美國嘅窮鄉僻壤都買唔到一間屋 美國三份二人基本生活有困難 去麥記食個套餐都要十二三蚊美金 即係差唔多港紙 一百蚊
