Umezawa showed what true character development is, growing out of his delinquent behaviour, into a responsible adult who accepted his past mistakes to ippo
@simonbrentvillaviza9032, I do not necessarily think that is the case. Even after obtaining his professional license, Umezawa and his cronies continued to mock and bully Ippo. It wasn't until after seeing him in a match he gradually begins to respect and see Ippo for who he really was. Umezawa over time, recognized his own mistakes and the guilt of his past actions weighed heavily on him for years, even after they became close friends. This burden of guilt ultimately served as an inspiration for him to pursue his own ambitions, accept his mistakes, push past them, and continue to grow.
You forgot to mention why Takamura was crying about the bear...he let it live because she had 2 young cubs nearby. He mourned for the bear and her cubs, who would not survive without their mother. Takamura had a big heart, despite his aggressiveness.
I started boxing in 2004 after I got my black belt in the kwon do. After I watched one episode of this show I knew….I love this show more then ppl will ever understand. Boxing saved my body and mind and this show is why.
its so great at the start and bit forward but all that hype was ruined for me , not bc he lost but as the series goes on it seriously struggles with repetition with WHY/how he loses and his motivations as a boxer
@@revieo2607 i think it's an unfortunate side effect of the series dedication to realism. There's only so many ways to struggle in a boxing match for a boxer whose style is frankly as predictable as Ippo's. Also any actual boxer on his way to a world title would never struggle as much as Ippo did on the regional scene but oh well
I still love how Kamogawa said that Takamura wasn't the boxer he wanted to keep his promise with but Ippo. That meant so much knowing how much the old grump really cared about him like an actual father figure.
Post War Arc is and will always be the HYPEST ARC in this series, just knowing that Kamogawa fought against Sergeant Anderson and still came out winning *chefs kiss*
I sincerely hope we get to see a 4th season of Hajime No Ippo. There are so many fights in the Manga i'd love to see animated. Ippo's goal has inspired me in making my own characters's motivations. Kimura vs Mashiba is still my favorite anime fight of all time. I love fights from boxerd like Sendo and Mashiba. I've lost count of how many times i've reread the manga. I made a Reddit account because i couldn't find anyone else to talk to about Hajime No Ippo. I love this series. Its one of my favorites up there with One Punch Man and Akame Ga Kill
We all hated Umezawa at first but he swiftly became the goat, Ippo couldn't have asked for a better friend. When he almost quit boxing Umezawa worked in his family business so Ippo could box again. Truly the Goat.
just finished the first season and the special after ill come back when i catch up but man no anime in my life has ever made me cry as much as this one and his story what a ride its been so far im so glad i was put onto this
@@tylerfrancescone8683 Could be. My personal guess is that Ippo's return depends heavily on Kumi. If she says he should return to the boxing world, he would do it immediately.
I just caught up to ep 76. I must say, this anime holds a special place in my heart and it got there fairly quick. This was an anime I’d heard about long ago and never got into. I believe I got into Hajime no Ippo at the perfect time in my life where I needed it most. Im so invested in this story and the characters, it feels like real life events. I’ve literally taken my fitness more serious and have been motivated beyond measure to surpass my limits in all facets of life. I now need to catch up with the new episodes. Im a little concerned with the future of Ippo’s career based on what I’ve been seeing.
Mad respect to the amazing staff on this Channel. Not sure exactly how many of you are putting in work to get all this done but it surely is impressive! Keep up the amazing content!
Listen!!! When I saw Sendo still glaring at Ippo even after a shot to the temple, even when he's unconscious and he's still glaring at him that shit gave me chills!!!!
Love the attention to detail when it comes to Ippo and Date’s connection. First thing Date said to Ippo when they met is if his right hand is ok, to which they decided to shake with their lefts. Then when he passed the baton in their ‘last meeting’ it was to ippos right hand making it their first and final ‘real’ handshake.
Such a great deep dive into Ippo’s story and personality. You went so far as to cover even the Gonzalez fight and the issues with the longer Mexican jabs. You should do another one with the recent developments. A lot has happened since your video. It would be a great addition to the Hajime no Ippo community.
Thank you very much for this video. I really hope they come up with a new season and a good comeback from ippo. Because let's be honest everyone wants to see ippo being a world champion. By the way this show is the best thing I've seen in my life. Very inspiring and it really makes you feel all the characters.
Bruh thank you for doing this video, I finished season 1 thinking that was it, I was so wrong and I didn’t know where to pick back up. This really made it easier to follow along.
Yesssss ! Man, Ippo is still my favorite sports anime of all time and probably one or two all time . I love this series so much Im glad its getting some love. Great series I would definitely recommend to sports anime fans especially. And the manga is great too.
The only thing bad about hajime no ippo is the pacing like I get to episode. 30 and just find out 2 years have passed and then at the end of season one bro is. 23 THIS SHOW STARTED WHEN HE WAS 16
I get what you mean but you should watch the entirety of the shows they cover if these videos interest you. They inevitably have to leave out defining traits when summarizing anime.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son that whoever so beloved in him shall not perish but have every lasting life 🙌🏾❤️✝️
Nothing frustrated me more than Ippo's early retirement. All that build-up for nothing. I was so mad I quit the manga. Now, I'm searching for something similar to _Hajime no Ippo_ to satisfy my craving...

We need to see Ippo come out of retirement and face off against Ricardo, taking the world title. It can't end any other way.

when did he retire?
It's going to be hard considering his style and tactics are very outdated
