Loving the series Mike. So cool to see you down here near my neck of the woods. The rains have stayed upon us this year. Those are the same kind of conditions I have found myself in most of the year when I can get out.
Yes Titus, we have been inundated with rain in Tennessee also. Glad you like the series. We ran into a bunch of small fish but had a great time. First time out with the drone and that was fun.
Mike, day 2 was definitely a better day with some larger smallies than day one. The rain was likely a big help in trigging the smallies to action on the river. Nice work with the drone footage again with some beautiful views. Have a great weekend and blessings, Rob
Yep, the drone is getting better and better. It’s a ton of fun even though it diminishes my fishing time a bit. It’s actually way better in my upcoming videos
Absolutely gorgeous presentation🌷 I really like it, Excellent video👍👍 Looking forward to more such wonderful video.💗 Thanks for sharing and lets keep in touch.💙💖
@@BigBaitPosse I just happened to pick one up on prime day. Gotta love that! Except, I took it up to 11000 feet with me, and it was giving me some warnings about high altitude. I just had to be extra careful!
@@JumbleTronChannel yeah. I keep mine under 400 and in line of sight. If you went to 11k and got it back I’m surprised. I figured high winds would take it at 11k.
@@BigBaitPosse 11k was the ground elevation to be clear. I just put it up in the air about 20 feet relative to me 😂. No way it was going out of my sight on my watch 😁
I bought a new drone months ago but after losing my original Karma Drone way back when. I have not even taken the new one out on a fishing trip yet. Gotta get that thing out over the water. Always wanted to capture catching a fish from the aerial point of view…but that’s how I lost the first drone…hahaha ! This looked like a great trip Mike regardless of fact you had some rain. Looking forward to the next installment.
We had a good time for sure Don. Dji offers Dji Care which is sorta like drone insurance. 79$ for 3 years and they will replace it if it flys away, crashes or gets wet. I’ve enjoyed flying it. Hard to get things set up if your solo though.
I caught a few that had a distinct smell, like a fertilizer. I’m attributing it to pasture land run off into the river. I use a 4/0 worm hook. I’m not brand loyal and use different brands for those. There are times of the year where I use a 5/0 wide gap when I want the fluke down lower in the water column
@@DpuckFishingandOutdoors you can for sure. Scott Roberts did an awesome fluke rigging video on the channel, demonstrating exactly how we rig them. Angle through the nose, depth of hook through the nose and how the hook is centered all plays into great fluke presentation.
@@BigBaitPosse I am heading up to northern New England in a few weeks. The lake has a ton of pickerel, so I am not to keen on throwing hard jerkbaits. May have to use the fluke.
Day 2 of our 4 day stay in Buckingham County Virginia, on the James River. Hope you enjoy the video.

Great video as always Mike!

Ahh yes. So excited
Fishing is cool as always and that Drone footage adds a great element! Really great video!

That was a better day on fish wish we could have got on more big fish.
Awesome numbers in this one! That fluke and paddle tail was just crushing! Nice smallies and loved the drone footage 👌
Thanks for watching
Enjoyed the video Mike. Fishing did pick up some. That drone is awesome!
Haha you ain’t seen nothing yet!
Nice ones. Great video Mike
thanks for watching
Very nice
Thanks
That drone makes that river look bigger than I thought it was. Very busy day. Rain on ya and all.
The James is a huge river. Pretty wide.
@@BigBaitPosse that's right I was thinking it was Holston River. 😆 🤣 but a river that wide would be a ton of spots to cover.
@@ShowMeCreeks Holston river is wide also..yeah. it's a bunch of territory to cover.

Love the drone footage. Looks like braving the rain paid off too. Excellent!
Yeah. I’m liking the drone big time. It’s a lot of fun to fly you really get some unexpected shots

Great comment
Cool drone footage. First time here. I like how ya put what you were using on the screen
Thanks. I have been doing that for a while. I appreciate you watching. Having a ton of fun with the drone.
Another great video Mike. That looks like a beautiful river. I hear they hammer the big ones on the TCR over there, lol.
You need to make that trip. I know a good Airbnb
“Man they stink.” They don’t smell much better up here in MN Mike 😂😂
Yeah. First time I’ve ever encountered some that had a smell. I’m wondering if it’s not all the runoff from the pasture land. Almost chemical like.
@@BigBaitPosse oh interesting! A lot of the smallies I catch have a pretty strong smell to them. Not sure why.
man, seem to me it was definitely a good day. but seems to be more about quantity than quality this time. but it's all good!
Yep. Lots of small fish in the James river we guess
So James river bass stink, huh? 😝 What hook are you using on those flukes?
