That car is such a beast, I'd never sell it
I don't plan to, wait til the Holy Grail mod vid comes out 😬
Such gentle racing, I'd be trying to pass everyone but there was obviously rules
Yeah only one passing spot and they had to wave you by
I would’ve been tried passing dude in the front along time ago maybe would’ve wiped out 😂
There were rules, they had to signal they were moving on the straight or else I would have tried
I tracked my old GT350 one time for the LMR show here in Dallas TX it was fun
Man I had a blast, very low key just go out and cruise around as fast as you want, well as fast as the guy in front of you will go 🤣
I've always wanted to track my Boss here at Mantorp Park (Sweden) but the lack of insurance has made me hesitate :(
If you can find a local group that goes out and rents it you may be able to get out there relatively worry free and go at your own pace. There was no one pushing me but me here and for your first time that's for sure what you'd want
Glad you came out and had a good time! Next time we head down should be Road Atlanta. You need to bring you big boy pants for that track. It is quite awesome. :)
I think I need some braking mods before I brave that 😂
Thanks again for the invite, was definitely one of the most favorite things I've ever done
@@BrailsfordsRides New fluid for sure. 3 laps and in, repeat. Should be fine. Worked for my Boss
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Looked like fun. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT
It was the most fun I've ever had Tim 😂
I have a 12 Boss 302 Race red like yours and I love the car. Everything is rock solid EXCEPT FOR that transmission 😁 I have no faith in my transmission and am surprised you hadn't installed that new clutch yet before you went racing. One day I will get a new full shifter and linkage and clutch. Also dig around down there and see what else I can throw at it to beef it up for high revs. I am also so tired of getting locked out of second. But, yea man looked like u had a blast. ✌️
I have never been locked out on my stock transmission. I have a braided clutch line and mgw race spec shifter. I do have the caliper stage 3 sitting in my garage for when she blows though 😂
shocked me that charger pulled on you on the straight aways. but you can tell the boss handled so much better
he had like 350 more horsepower than me lol
Awesome Matt ! Looks like a lot of fun!!!
Man I'm ready to go back now lol
So, now are you kicking yourself for waiting?😀 Prior to my first HPDE I downloaded and printed a copy of the track. Also, watched videos of instructors’ running it. Helped a bit, but still not as effective as actually driving it. The sponsor of the HPDE I go to has detailed driver meetings before and in-between sessions. I also like having a choice of having an instructor ride along to critique and improve driving technique (it’s already included in the cost might as well take advantage of it). My Boss was bone stock the first time I took it. After a mod, I went again. Other than tires I found the biggest difference was after boring out my shock towers and installing camber/caster plates. Putting in -2.5 deg Caster improved corner handling. I may try -3 deg next time. It’s a blast!
I need to get my 1 piece drive shaft on ASAP but yes I'm hooked 🤣
I put the QA1 CF with a BMR front safety loop on mine. What are you going with?
@@oscarfisherjr311 I have a ford racing with BMR safety loop on my shelf lol
Hard to get rid of the track bug once you get it. Did you have dot 3 or 4 brake fluid in? When I took mine we did half hour sessions from early morning to the evening without fault.
Idk honestly probably should do a drain and fill
Hey Dude,
Not bad lines for your first time!
I’ve gotta ask tho - regarding that first Camaro, then the Challenger, then the Vette: Were those A) Lame Instructor cars, B) cars without rear view mirrors, or C) was it bring your grandma to the track day?? I thought the first lap was the “pace lap” with your kids in back and I was thinking you were a little frisky for a pace lap. Then I realized these were actual laps. Actual, painfully slow, laps. 🤷♂️
Yeah it was way better when they cleared out. The hellcat could barely hold the line with 255 tires, the Camaro realized he didn't want to lead. I wish I had waited to go on my own
First time, yes but I did win a trip to skip Barber one day racing school so that helped a lot. That and gran Turismo 😂
Beautiful, Which color Is it ? red, orange ...
Mine is Race red sir, thanks for watching
💯🫡
NIce car, doesn't seem like you are heel and toe downshifting at the end of the straight? very important for performance driving with manual transmission.
For sure I still have lots to learn. This was my only ever track day after 1 day of racing school months before lol
You still have that oem radio? I swapped that out immediately. I wanted the Apple Carplay that my 2016 had. I made a lil video on it ua-cam.com/video/X6rZBOH-kvk/v-deo.html
I'll check it out, I've thought about swapping but I never listen to it while I drive anyway, I love my cars exhaust note 😂
