Thanks for the video. I followed the instructions and also tried to taper towards the last 2 splices. I used nylon rope which I think you have too? I didn't want to seal the ends because I'm trying to make a soft dogs collar. I put small 6 turn wippings on the centre and at the 3rd splice positions, but unfortunately the ends are unravelling. As fast as I cut off the stragglers, more arrive. Is there any way to prevent soft nylon rope from slowly unravelling the splice, without making hard spots by sealing the ends? Thanks I
I've left tails long...melted long,and thin... kinda icicle shape Then feed into center of rope and bury them....best I found..... I don't like the char look on certain applications...such as yours..
