Ok
Good
I trust you plotted 019 as your course and not 036 if im not mistaken. it was all a little quick...
Thanks I understood. Well done sir 👍
not clear instruction fake
Brilliant, thanks mate 👍👍
Great video. Thanks
Superb sir
Thanks. Learned it 34 years ago in the navy and forgot the crown knot
same here. CG though.
I usually whip my rope ends, but I have two mooring lines to splice loops in today so I'll try this at the other ends. I do this stuff all the sime but I've never been tempted to back-splice. It's good to try differnt things
Backsplice is only shit, useless shit
When one ties knots one is making motion and there is a law of motion which was made by a very clever man who had a apple faw on his head and it says that for every motion there is an equal opposite motion and when one ties a overhand knot you think that you make a half hitch but what you will find is that you have two half hitches and if you want to see them you need to turn your knot inside out .a buntline hitch is two half hitches but what you think is two half hitches is not as it makes two overhand knots as as they are the same you got a granny knot.
good day sir, does this method also work when I make monkey fist with 4-6 turns and more?
Den er god 👍
Tied my first monkey fist by watching your video. Thanks
Looked at half a dozen videos for this splice, but yours is the clearest and easiest to follow
Clearest example yet on how to tie a monkey fist by hand that I've seen. Thank you!
Very clear demonstration excellent.
Very good explanation
Thank you!
Top-Notch!
👍
Nice tutorial very clear .. over and under
You have maybe nearly, got the splice somewhere something like suppose to be. Not that it is safety needed, there’s a lot easier and simpler method to splice. From an old rope splicer.
I am a bosun for 3 years and more than 10 years experience in world wide seagoing vessels, I want to apply any position that qualifies my skills
Very nice job
30 years since I did this but 2 minutes of your film brought it straight back. Thanks
How long is the cord?
This is the best 3 strand eye splice tutorial I have found. Thank you for this video.
This is not the round machines turn and two half hitches knot
Outstanding Video!!!
Cool
Great!
The end 😛
What type of thread/twine did you use for the whipping in this video?
Super
This knot should only be used in one peace of cord ,and not used to tie two ropes together .
This is not two half hitches but a granny knot which is two overhand knots ,but if it were two half hitches it would make only one overhand knot.
this is a round turn 2 half hitches. Are you dense?
Working with a black rope and a flash light at night but the worst part is that I had two identical ropes and grabbed the 'working end' of the wrong rope more than once. I also lost track of which way I was going while tightening. Maybe I'll try again in the morning...
Best explanations..
Muchas gracias muy bien explicado,;)
Thank you so much. I am doing EDH course and it is so much helpful.
Simply and well explained. Thanks for sharing.
Are reef knots used when securing a reef point on a square sail?
What is the brand of hot knife you are using?
If this is being used as a heaving line it should have a weight in the middle of the fist and spliced back into the standing part.
What if you're using braid line.
Nice 😍😘😍😀
That’s the way I do it. I’m a firefighter.
Great, clear tutorial! On my first attempt, I made one which is quite satisfactory and I know how to do it better next time. I'm not sure what some did wrong, the instruction is so clear. Thanks so much!
PLEASE SAY HOW LONG THE ROPE NEEDS CUT TO START WITH. AND, could we use the end in some way to make a loop handle?
An eye splice could used to make a handle.
