i was so looking foward to hear that main theme, it's seems like it's non-existent in the region now.
those osts from the teyvat chapter were never part of any battle themes lol. They are the main theme of each regions (with the exception of Fontaine)

I was CONVINCED that nothing would ever top the battle themes from Sumeru (swirls of shamshir in particular I think the track is called). I was also convinced that ain't nothing in this world could sound as good as Hustle of Port Ormos
...granted, those tracks are still #1 for me, but god DAYUM did Natlan's tracks give it a good run for its money. easily #2 for combat music for me, I just wanna put down my keyboard and get down and dance

Although Natlan has its flaws, the music did not disappoint
"Everything about your culture is beautiful... except you" Sums up how Mihoyo looks at us colored people pretty good
It sucks that Mihoyo and most of their games will always be held back by the decisions of the higher ups, the CCP and the Asian beauty standards and a vast majority of the people will often defend them despite what they do like sheep
The yr's 2024 and after more than 2000 yrs since Christ's death, even with how modern the Chinese have become, they still can't be progressive (in a good way) accordingly with the times. I think after Natlan, we officially need to give up any hopes on Mihoyo as a game dev because they never cared about us. They only know how to make money. It sucks that we reached this conclusion but as Kratos say "Keep your hopes at a bare minimum and you'll never be disappointed" I know that's not what he said word-to-word but you get my point 😔
@@AratakiBullPowerSiddo1 oh yeah I agree completely. I stopped playing Genshin a few months ago and after the Natlan situation I don’t think I’ll play again, I just like to listen to the music because thats the only great thing about the game, and in this case, about Natlan

I am not simply asking but out of curiosity because I never knew Chinese have certain beauty standards that constraints them from looking into the diverse colours, then why I see darker skinned characters in other Asian medias like Japanese and Korean?

Could be a Quena, its a wind instrument from the altiplanic region in south america. And the other wind instrument sound like a Zampoña (from the same region)

I knew Natlan music Wasn’t gonna disappoint!, I’m satisfied, I think its better than Fontaine battle themes, which were very Forgettable. Till this day my favorite are Sumeru’s “Swirls of Stream”

A massive improvement over Fontaine battle themes.
I liked the Fontaine battle themes but they didn't quite leave a lasting impression like Inazuma or Sumeru for eg. Natlan is definitely a return to form in that regard.
as a classical musician myself, i enjoy music that is well made 😭😭 sadly this is kinda falling of from the fontaine standards.
its probably because the best genshin composer, yu peng chen (wrote music up to fontaine) left so now we got other guys..

From the desert of hadramaveth and girdle of the sands (and obviously to fontaine up to present) Yu peng chen has no influence on the music and the quality of the osts has never dipped. Look, even you thought yu peng chen composed Fontaine music lol

In the end it's a fantasy setting. People allow animes like Magi to exist although almost no character in it looks arabic at all. Kinich may not look Mayan, but still seems to be a fun character. This is not new when it comes to adapting culture to something else tbh, though I agree I wish there were more playable characters with olive/black skin
