3:14 I can understand why they added that dubstep part when fighting the Knight. The All-Devourer Narwhal is a being beyond the star, more like from another dimension. Having the music changed to dubstep *is exactly* like being in another dimension. It feels other worldly. Kudos Hoyo.

I think my favorite part of this theme is how it uses the higher pitched parts to mimic the sound of the narwhal. Whales have majestic calls, but here (and in tartaglias fight) they are ominous and scary. Mihoyo made another amazing piece of music.
Reminds me of how they used the 52hz Blue frequency in Childe's "Wrath of Monoceros Caeli" theme

I just got back to playing Genshin again after a year and I didn't expect this Archon to be that good and I didn't expect to jam on some dubstep during a boss fight after almost crying on what happened to Furina and Focalors.

The all-devouring narwhal is a being from beyond the stars. Kinda genius how they used dubstep as a way to convey how "alien" it is to Teyvat
Mondstadt is the only 'medieval' region in Teyvat, the other nations are mostly early modern with magic technology. Honestly they're hard to put into any specific category, but Mondstadt definitely has some slight fantasy medieval vibes

Fr this entire part before the dubstep is my favorite the vocals and brass are just so powerful
I LOVED this about genshin tbh. Just the implication of something deeper going on there than what we know is so interesting. It all feels like there is some grand conspiracy at play and this is the first peek into it. Like it being some simulation or the idea of teyvat being inside a black hole or something. Not to mention also the weird religious inspiration and the incresingly strong build up to the archon‘s being named after demons and how they just like their world could be upside down but on a more theoretical level like them being bad being upside down meaning them being disguised as good while being intended to be bad. I feel like the gnoses are tools meant to control the archons to prevent humans from rising up. And them being taken away and that leading to them kinda treating humans or „sinners“ good instead of bad seems to build up to some kind of rebellion possibly started by the fatui archon to fight celestia. Cause i do think celestia is supposed to be satan since she is above teyvat meaning in reality she is the furthest down. Like satan would be. I think that maybe the plot of genshin is about us, being sent to hell by the unknown god, possibly an opposing force against celestia trying to get us to save the people of teyvat since we seem to be there to make life better for humans against the archon‘s wishes. But what if the point there is for us to essentially cleanse hell because of the humans showing interest in fighting for tjemselves to turn a place meant to punish them and be aweful into a place they can thrive in. Or alternatively the unknown god could be one overtaking celestia to make teyvat more hell like again while perhaps paimon could be celestia reborn and subconchiously guiding us to save teyvat from said god. I mean i dunno but i love how interesting and deep this game is. Not only in terms of gameplay but also lore wise. I can‘t wait for the final part of the story man!

Y'know, being a genshin and hsr player, I noticed something. In the astral express, in the parlor car, the lights above are that of a whale. Hsr is based on space, and we also know that the narwhal ISN'T from Teyvat, and is from beyond it. I noticed this detail when I first play hsr (which was recent) so, idk if it has any hidden meaning behind it, but ya, I just thought I would share this bc why not? ^v^

In my opinion about this new boss' ost (Narwhal). I was feel amazed when I listened carefully until the end, it feels like the music sounded familiar that can actually similar to any other games...
Phase 1
1.) The first part really got me goosebump when I hear that music that sounded look like from the Battlefield 1 - Prologue OST. If you listen carefully, you know the drill...
2.) The choir can be compared to God of War 4 and Ragnarok. Imagine that you are fighting Baldur, Thor or probably Odin.
3.) The orchestra can be compared from Resident Evil 8 Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake Boss Fight.
Phase 2 - Now this one is a totally EPIC. Imagine if the OSTs from 3 other games have combined to make Narwhal's Phase 2 ost on fire🔥🔥🔥

I'll be honest, all boss themes are amazing, ethereal even, but music for shadow part of this one got me shaking. Like, I was legit scared running around, spitting shields with Zhongli & genuienly not knowing wtf is about to happen during this fight 😂 Divine experience, 10/10 would erase my memory to go through it once again with the same anxiousness ❤

Man, I wish the weekly bosses had the option to choose to face them at level 100, because I believe that for most AR60 players this battle was no fun at all in the story. The music is incredible, I just heard it and tears came to my eyes, but it's completely wasted because the game is so easy.

when i want enjoy the ingame boss fight osts i go with solo characters lmao, its the only way to have fun and enjoy the full song. Otherwise it ends too quickly ;c

Even at level 100 the boss would still have weaker stats than a level 100 boss elsewhere

I don’t know how their going to top this theme, it’s honestly up there with Raiden’s for my favorite boss theme in the entirety of the game.
It’s so overwhelming and powerful, seeing that thing burst out of the water and seeing it’s true scale while this is blasting in the background. Loved it!
Ooh and the dubstep portion! It came out of nowhere but goes so hard I love it~

I was struggling more on not freaking out, I hate the concept of a huge creature on a different plane of existence that can eat you like nothing 0-0
I just wanted to talk to Furina in poiison and stop playing for the day before being locked into a what feels like 2 hour cutscene and then having to fight him with my story team consisting of hydro travler, Lynette, Charlotte and luckily Navia who i switched in just moments before.🤡
Wasn't very fun and good that the fight was cut short.😆
Ok but i waited years for this reveal and was not disappointed. Made my friend fight it with me yesterday to relive the moment 😂

1:30 In this part, we realized how enormous and powerful are the enemies we faced, we can feel how incredibly heavy and painful was the burden that Furina carried on her frail human shoulders holding on to a tiny ray of hope to save Fontain during a half of millenia 😢😭💔. Agggghh Fuck!! Furina is certainly the most beautiful soul in Teyvat, she has the willpower of a god, she only deserves pure happiness. 🥲
