    I just now realized this was the first time I've heard Stark's voice.... THE ILLUSION IS RUINED

    Stark keep doing what you're doing man, these tutorials are awesome! It's so much easier to learn when you are literally watching someone do it in real time. When Ry explains effects in the FR episodes it goes so fast it's impossible to follow unless you're already really experienced with VFX and AE, in which case you probably don't need the tutorials. These are perfect to learn and get a feel for different menu's and basic techniques and lets people get comfortable in AE way quicker. I feel watching tutorials like this it's way less likely for someone trying this for the first time to get "stuck" on something. Keep it up!

    Thanks for tutorial Stark, really like the pace of the tutorials (even tho some seem to think it is a bit slow)

      Thanks! I try to go at a pace that you can see what I'm doing while I explain why. I know some people that may have more experience dislike that. But it's better that everyone can understand vs only a few.

    I love this. Sometimes I want as much info as possible and i know it wouldn't fit the pacing of main riot. Stark please keep dropping VFX things here:)

    1 he speaks like an actual person unlike Ryan

    I loved the video! I was wondering how you did the effects in the car chase video, because it's so realistic.
    One thing though, shouldn't the gunshot happen before the truck starts going off road?

    You know what would be cool? A geometry track tutorial. There are a lot of tutorials about mocha but it's hard to find a good geo track tutorial. I went through a lot to get it right. Consider it, it would work well with the simple van geometry.

    • @MichaelStarkTV
      @MichaelStarkTV 8 років тому

      What do you mean by geo tracking? Actual 3D camera solving? Can you elaborate?

    • @slimjim681
      @slimjim681 8 років тому

      +Michael Stark it's like a specific thing that only a few tracking programs can do like pf track and syntheyes. Let's say you wanted to just track the movement of the van, a simple 3d track wouldn't work. So you track based on the vans geometry.

    Question in the back: Are you self taught or did you go to school for visual effects? Thanks

    • @MichaelStarkTV
      @MichaelStarkTV 8 років тому

      I went to school for design and fell into motion graphics, which led me to 3D, then kind of just fell into visual effects. I make sure I continue to watch training and study.

    adobe could add this breaking glass as effect! :D they also have built-in lightning effect so i think glass-shatter should be relatively easy to implement too!

  • @LuisGTirado

    Cool tutorial, but it seemed to me that he got shot after the van went off course? wouldn't the guy get shot and then loose control of the van?

    • @MichaelStarkTV
      @MichaelStarkTV 8 років тому

      I wasn't concerned with timing as much as the technique. In the actual short scene it was broken for the duration of this shot.
