More remixed Outer Wilds music!!! I couldn't be happier. I won't say much because I don't want to spoil this game for anyone. If you're seeing this and you haven't played it, do what synthicify said and DON'T Google too much about it. I'd recommend watching the official trailers and then buying it :D. Anyways, this is awesome. Now that I have beaten Outer Wilds things like this are the things that remind me of the feeling of playing it... Thanks.
I feel the doom, but when I hear the song I don't feel the panic. To me it sounds like a song of acceptance, especially when it goes down at the end. It fits into one of the game's major themes this way too (theme of acceptance)
The credits theme was heartbreakingly beautiful. It has a very different vibe, less homely than the banjo and other acoustics, but no less sincere. It sounds more like something from a space opera but hearing those four notes still brought goosebumps to my arms.
Beautiful, beautiful work! I never get tired of more personal renditions of these amazing tracks. They mean so much to us. Just a thought, though: what you cited as "Traveler Theme" is actually "Space".
I also loved Outer Wilds and the music is amazing. I specially liked your arrangement of "Nomai", sounds great and I would love to hear a real orchestra playing it.
I never thought about it before but the bells are a natural fit for End Times. Overall orchestra and Outer Wilds are kind of an awkward fit but that particular bit worked really well.
The main menu theme really gives off Outer Wilds vibes, the whole story and the awesome adventure. All of these songs also sound like they would play if Outer Wilds was an RPG.
This was amazing. This game and its story affected me deeply and helped me process through some life events in a healthy way. Thank you for making composing this!
Thanks a lot! I think the Credits Theme is probably the arrangement I am the most satisfied with, so glad to hear others appreciated the key change as well :)
I would absutely highly reccomend the game. It's one of the most chill, charming, intriguing and downright emotional games I have ever played in my life. I can't tell you much, as the whole game is about discovering that for yourself. It's a space exploration game with quite a big twist you'll discover roughly half an hour in. I'd say it takes roughly 18 hours or so to complete first time, although the best part is you have everything you need to win from the start, you just lack the knowledge how to. The best way to describe it is like a knowledge based metroidvania, where the way to progress is based on your understanding of the game's world rather than upgrades. Plus as this arrangment should tell you, the music by Andrew Prahlow is worth playing the game on its own it's so good! It's only €20, less on sales, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, Steam the Epic Store and soon the Switch. In fact if you have an Xbox its free with gamepass.
I agree with them all, if you’ve got a passion for the greatness of human curiosity this game is one of the most wonderful experiences you can have in not just entertainment but art.
Playing this I was filled with the similar butterflies feeling like I got back in 2003 when I played Wind Waker as a little snot nozed 4 year old boy... Beating this game I felt like I was a little kid again figuring out the box puzzles on Dragon's Roost isles after hours of trial and error. The ending happened exactly how I knew it was going to, but I felt like it was way too soon even after 48 hours of playing and problem solving, failing and restarting, stupidly shooting directly into the sun or crashing back onto Timber Hearth by accident right after lift off. This game made me feel like I was four but by the end of it I felt like I was sixty
Great work, really enjoyed this! If I had to give some feedback, I would say that my least favourite is the first one. I think using an instrument with a shorter attack for the main melody would have maybe worked better instead of the woodwinds, since it's relatively fast? Also, I found the tuba (pretty sure it's a tuba? Correct me if I'm wrong) at 0:50 a bit jarring. Apart from that, I really like the way you used the strings in the background, sounds really nice. For the nomai theme, the only critique I can think of is that, in my opinion, the violins playing the melody would work better if they didn't play all the time. Pauses between phrases would probably help. When it comes to the mastering/mixing, if it were me, I would probably add a bit more compression to make the highs stand out a bit more, but honestly that's probably just a taste thing. Libraries like the ones you used like to go for that traditional, somewhat muffled sound, and I probably just prefer when it all sounds a bit more modern. Other than that, I really don't have much to say, everything else simply sounds absolutely wonderful. You really did a great job! (also I'm in no way a pro, honestly your stuff probably sounds better than mine lmao, but I just thought you'd appreciate some constructive criticism!)
Thanks for the constructive critiscm! I honestly appreciate that. In my earlier orchestral works I defaulted too much to use the strings as the centrepiece. This time I attempted to use the strings more rhythmically and let woodwinds or brass have more of the spotlight. In hindsight I can see the 0:50 tuba being a little too loud. In general I think my mixing of this is a bit too heavy on the lows. Hearing it with my studio headphones it ain't too bad, but when I use my Bose headphones I use for work the bottom end is so dense and loud compared to the highs. Though I gotta be honest and say that mixing is my least favorite part and I'm fairly poor at it. I can agree to your point on the Nomai theme. Guess at that point I was a bit restless to be done so I think that was the most rushed piece. Think I only spent a couple of hours on that one. My thoughts behind the Nomai arrangements was to play everything in freetime without a click and to just record each part on the fly and see what came out. Again, I'm just really glad you took some time to writ feedback. I don't know anyone in RL who is sufficiently interested in orchestral music to be able to give any detailed feedback like this.
@@synthicify You're welcome! I'm glad I could help, even if just a little. but yeah, same here... It's not easy finding people I can talk about all that with, especially IRL.
This medley was amazing! Outer Wilds was such a unique experience for me, and hearing it, I couldn't hold back the tears, this medley is perfect. I would like to ask you something, would I be allowed to use this medley in a video? In this case, if I put the credits in the description and such...
I made this in Logic Pro. But what program is not really that interesting. More importantly, all the sounds are from the Spitfires BBC symphony orchestra :)
Isn't the best cinematic piece I've heard from a non-proffesional composer. But it still has it's good bits! I loved your version of the space theme though. Great video. Keep learning you still have a long way to go.
Traveller theme is actually called Space, and Credits theme 14.3 billion years.

Thanks a lot! I had the same feeling when I was done with the game - I wasn't ready to let go yet, so therefore I made this :)
Beautiful, mate!
Your take on End Times was excellent. Somehow managed to add an extra element of doom/panic.
Thanks! That was one of the first I wanted to do as well. I just had the feeling it would fit well for an orchestra
I feel the doom, but when I hear the song I don't feel the panic. To me it sounds like a song of acceptance, especially when it goes down at the end. It fits into one of the game's major themes this way too (theme of acceptance)

Way to make Space sound like the Great Sea from Wind Waker. That's probably the best musical analogy I've ever heard
Haha I was just about to comment with "Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Outer Wilds"
That end times is fantastic
No matter what version I hear of "End Times", it still gives me goosebumps, mild anxiety, and a pinch of existential dread.
Beautiful, beautiful work! I never get tired of more personal renditions of these amazing tracks. They mean so much to us.
Just a thought, though: what you cited as "Traveler Theme" is actually "Space".
Thanks alot, glad you liked it!
I guess space makes very much sense as a title. I found a OST video on youtube I based the naming off of
I also loved Outer Wilds and the music is amazing. I specially liked your arrangement of "Nomai", sounds great and I would love to hear a real orchestra playing it.
Thanks alot! "Nomai" is probably one of my favorites as well. Will never forget when it plays in Dark Bramble at a certain place, what a great moment.
Amazing take on all of these. A friend pointed out it almost has a Kingdom Hearts vibe in orchestral. You've outdone yourself.
Thanks! If people hear KH vibes then I'm honored. I listen to the orchestral concerts from KH almost daily when I work ;)
Cool so this rendition of Timber Hearth is the single greatest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life
I NEED to edit / hack my Outer Wilds game and put this orchestral End Times theme in! Truly brilliant!
Thank you! That would've been something
This is very nice! Hope Andrew Prahlow got to see this!
**hears credits theme**
...
My mind:DONT CRY DONT CRY DONT CRY DONT CRY
Me:**cries in a happy way**
This was outstanding. What a lovely tribute to one of the most special games I've ever played. Thanks for sharing.
I never thought about it before but the bells are a natural fit for End Times.
Overall orchestra and Outer Wilds are kind of an awkward fit but that particular bit worked really well.
this is amazing. thank you for bringing this game for a orchestra, you are amazing and so much talented.
Thanks for the kind words!
The main menu theme really gives off Outer Wilds vibes, the whole story and the awesome adventure. All of these songs also sound like they would play if Outer Wilds was an RPG.
These are all amazing arrangements, but the Credits Theme plays on a league of its own. Thank you.
This was amazing. This game and its story affected me deeply and helped me process through some life events in a healthy way. Thank you for making composing this!
❤
So glad this got into my recommended
Space/Traveler theme is my favorite track so it's awesome to see it remixed :]
Wow, you deserve a lot of appreciation for this! Best remixes I’ve heard yet!
Utterly fantastic work, thank you
a reorchestration of one of my favorite games ever? hell fucking yes. also that key change at 9:58 absolutely destroyed me. beautiful stuff.
Thanks a lot! I think the Credits Theme is probably the arrangement I am the most satisfied with, so glad to hear others appreciated the key change as well :)
You should do an Echoes of the Eye one! It would be so good!!
Fantastic
I don't know the game but I love your arrangements!

Dude, play it. Literally, go download it right now and play it. It'll be a mind-blowing experience.
Play the game, Gregory.
I agree with them all, if you’ve got a passion for the greatness of human curiosity this game is one of the most wonderful experiences you can have in not just entertainment but art.
Play the game
This sounds amazing! It makes Outer Wilds sound like a JRPG game lol. Amazing work though!
I cried... Thank you traveler...
Beautiful work, you truly capture the atmosphere to reharmonized it in a marvelous orchestral version.
You nailed it !
Very well made
ive always thought the songs could use some more oomph to them. excellent work!
This one is amazing and so emotional, thank you!
How's it this has only 28k views? Amazing job right there mate!
So beautiful. Thanks for this experience!
I really really love this!!!! This might just be one of the best things.

This deserves more attention
This is incredible! Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic work! The Nomai one is my new favourite track :)
Feels different.
But just as good.
Really good job man !
Really awsome , i thinks this video must evaluated by more people
fuck! this is amazing, the main theme made me smile ear to ear

Amazing work on this
Hey, this is really good. Thank you for this. I really hope you do more of these.
AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This video definitely needs more views
This sounds a lot like mario galaxy, great job!
I really like Timber Heart and the traveler theme. It sounds like something Brad Derrick would compose. With the fantasy feel it gives off.
This is amazing, good job!
_Really_ good stuff man!
awesome ! thank you for your work !
this is extremely cool
Great job, this was beautiful c: ♥
Wonderful arrangement, thank you for making it!
This is so amazing !!
This is simply amazing!
Good job
This sounds like an Ori soundtrack
When outer wilds has an anime
Impressive as always. Did you really do all this on your keyboard alone?
Thank you! Yes, it's all MIDI
Are you going to cover echoes of the eye as well? The music is just as good, so I can't wait to hear your composition!
This is unrealistic because you can actually hear the french horn smh. honestly i love this video you did a really good job
This medley was amazing! Outer Wilds was such a unique experience for me, and hearing it, I couldn't hold back the tears, this medley is perfect.

Thanks a lot! As long as this video is linked as a source you can use it for whatever you want!
Holy shit! This is amazing! Would it be okay if I use this music in my videos? You really did a great job with all of these soundtracks!
Thanks! As long as I'm credited and this video is linked, then that's okay :)
@@synthicify Sounds good to me!
Isn't the Traveller Theme part actually the Space theme? Sounds great! I'm just almost sure it's that other one xD
Yes, that's right! It is the space theme, from where I found the OST it was named Traveller Theme. If that's 100% correct - I dunno :P
"Computer music isn't real music"
-Some idiot of 2019
Hello!!!
Are you able to upload these tracks individually?
What program did you make this in?
I made this in Logic Pro. But what program is not really that interesting. More importantly, all the sounds are from the Spitfires BBC symphony orchestra :)
