For anyone having the same issue…. I’ve got a 2022 Ram sport. My screen has been black like this for two days. Couldn’t hear my radio or anything. I finally found out how to fix. If you hold down the screen off button along with the volume power button for 10 seconds, it should reset the screen and pop back on!
I have 2022 ram 2500 I was having the same problem..my truck had 3 software updates around the 1st May all my problems are gone I love that software update thats in these new trucks
I own a 2022 ram rebel and my radio shutdown multiple times while I was driving to New Mexico and traveling back to Houston Texas, it would just go to a dark screen then it would reboot and ask me to except the terms for uconnect, I went to my local dealership and was advised by the service manager that this is a common issue with the radio and are waiting for a solution to fix the problems. Hope to hear from stellantis soon.
My screen just went dark yesterday afternoon on my 2022 Ram 3500 HO Limited Longhorn Mega Cab 4X4. Will it go back to normal today once I start the truck back up?
I have 2022 2500 laramie having the same problems screen goes black but I can hear my radio playing..took it to the dealer 3 times they are finally going to replace it next week I hope that fixes everything
Did anyone get this issue fixed? I just bought my 2023 Laramie yesterday without researching about this screen. I am having issues switching between Android auto and apple carplay. Reading all these comments, I am scared if I will get this blackout issue after a few hundred miles. Please let me know if the dealers were able to fix this issue.

I bought a Ram 2500 Laramie Night Edition here in Brazil. I got it from the dealership two weeks ago. I can't use the uconnect hub. It's too bad, it crashes too much. I used less than 300km and had to send it to the dealership again to try to solve the problems with the multimedia center. It's been there for a week and they can't solve it.
I feel for you. My appointment is on Wednesday. We will see what they say. Mine came back on after this video, but does whatever it wants. I have a feeling nothing will be solved. I called Ram customer service, they said mine needs an update that only the dealer can do. We will see.. Follow up video coming soon.
My XM froze and my backup camera would not work. So I reset the computer by unhooking the negative cable to the battery and it is working now. Opening the door doesn't reset the system. You have to unplug the ECM.
i have a ram rebel GT same thing. took it in 3 times for different problems but kept bringing this up. it would glitch out and buttons disappear and cant use the volume or black screen. now they want me to bring it in for a full day to diagnose it. this started a month or 2 after getting it. under 500km to. called the Uconnect and they just said to bring it into the dealer but they have no clue. the holding volume doesn't work just gets it to work temporary ive done that more then 10 times now. its to bad that with how much tech these trucks have they cant have it save the codes they need to figure out what's wrong with it like a computer can.
I think mine will be fixed i had to bring mine in for the day for them to diagnosis it. after 3 other trys. they said it was the radio device or something like that was the problem just waiting on the part now.

This is what I have to do. I do it two times in a row. Then I turn my truck off and turn it back on and I get the ram screen to pop back up. I have a 2022 eclipse and my dealership will not replace my radio unless they can duplicate this issue.
If they gave you a factory 3 year 36k mile warranty left on this vehicle. THEY HAVE TO REPLACE IT. They are lieing to you and you need to get in there face and tell them they are replacing it. I've been in the same deal and they replaced it after a few good words from my Attorney. Bumper to bumper means everything that in between the 2.
This is bull.. new truck and you are already having problems. i just got a 2022 Ram Rebel fully loaded $70.000 +if this happens I'm calling Ram first and then the news media and the better business bureau one think they don't like is bad publicity. wishing you all the best brother.
Still not fixed. Was supposed to have an appointment with Dodge. But I’ve been too busy to reschedule. The screen has since started working again, but is still extremely finicky. It has a mind of its own.
What a piece of shit American made car. My tesla, which is also American made actually does this once in a while but it’s an easy fix when you restart the car or just restart the screen. None of that is working with this TRX.

Me too. My xm froze. I had to unplug the negative battery cable for a min then reconnect and it worked.

Get connected to your home WiFi and use your software update it will fix it
You can't use your truck wifi hot spot to connect..it has to connect to your home wifi it's easy setup

Try and Press and hold the stereo power button and tune button at the same time until you get the ram logo.

Hold the power button 20sec until ram logo comes on the screen , then 1 more time to get the screen back on it’s a soft reset
Push and hold volume and tune buttons for 30 seconds to reset the unit
Yup have to do this once a month on my 12in Uconnect 5 even after the update.

5 Minute fix. The dealer need to replace the radio module.

Click on the media button and the settings button in the upper right corner of the dark screen there is a sensor
